This story is part of the Autumn as the Promise Extra series. It centers on another couple and can be enjoyed as a standalone narrative. Readers don’t need to be deeply familiar with the original Autumn as the Promise storyline to follow it. However, it also addresses lingering questions from the main story, such as Madam Mei’s true relationship with Old Master Jiu and Uncle Shi’s real connection to Old Master Jiu.

At its heart, this story explores the relationship between Li Jiu and Shi Anzhi, delivering a tale that is both tender and heartwarming. In fact, it’s even sweeter than Ke Bian’s story (at least for me). It’s just that… well, it’s too short and leaves me wanting more 😔.
