Di Xuan Shang, seeing that she did not refuse, felt pleased and said, “No need for grand ceremonies, but you can return something else.”
She blinked her eyes. “Oh? Like what?”
“You know what I mean,” he said, his voice somewhat deep.
Feng Siyue, of course, knew what he was referring to—calling him “Senior Brother.” But she pretended to be puzzled. “What do you mean? I can’t guess. Tell me quickly.”
Di Xuan Shang leaned down and looked into her eyes. “You really don’t know?”
She innocently shook her head.
Di Xuan Shang wasn’t angry; he just thought this little enchantress was too good at teasing him. He said, “Then think about it carefully.”
Little Tangguo and Little Mifan scratched their heads beside them.
What kind of riddle were their mother and Masked Uncle playing?
Why couldn’t they understand anything?
Around them, voices of astonishment were heard, all guessing what the nine newly risen buildings were for.
People didn’t yet know that this vast area had been secretly bought by Feng Siyue. The empty ground in the center of the buildings was the sword tomb of the Tianmen Sword Sect, so many speculated that it was related to her. Various inquisitive glances flashed over her, but no one dared to linger.
More and more people gathered, including disciples and elders from various sects participating in the grand sect competition. Even a few elders from the Vast Academy came to see the commotion.
“Who put these treasures here! They’re blocking the Vast Academy’s sunlight. Remove them immediately!”
An elder from the Vast Academy, surnamed Qian, glared at Feng Siyue and shouted angrily.
Feng Siyue replied loudly, “This land was bought by me. I can put whatever I want here. What does it have to do with you? You say I’m affecting your sunlight, but I could say you’re polluting the air with your breathing!”
Elder Qian was furious. “You! Don’t be unreasonable! What purpose do these tall buildings serve here, other than deliberately affecting our academy’s sunlight and view!”
Feng Siyue was amused. “Does your academy suffer from persecution complex? These buildings are the new site for my sect, where future disciples will cultivate and live. They have nothing to do with your academy, so don’t flatter yourselves!”
“A self-built sect?” Elder Qian looked suspicious, not believing her words at all.
Feng Siyue had already inherited the legacy of several major sects. How could she possibly build her own sect?
Elder Qian sneered. “If you’ve built your own sect, you should send disciples to participate in the sect competition. Otherwise, the sect will be dissolved by the Cultivator Alliance!”
Feng Siyue looked at him as if he were an idiot. “Is the intelligence of elders at the Vast Academy really this low? The sect competition has already begun, and my sect hasn’t been established yet. I haven’t recruited a single disciple. Do you think I need to send disciples to compete? Have you been kicked in the head by a donkey?”
Did he really think she hadn’t considered these factors before building her sect?
Feng Siyue was genuinely concerned about the intelligence of the Vast Academy’s elders.
Elder Qian’s face was as ugly as if he had eaten a fly. He had never been so speechless against a junior.
“You impudent young girl, let’s see what you can accomplish! Ridiculous, trying to establish a sect in Jiaoyang City. You’ll never attract a good disciple!”
The Vast Academy was famous. Those who came to Jiaoyang City to learn would always aim for the Vast Academy. Who would join an obscure little sect!
Feng Siyue smiled and said, “Is that so? Then let’s wait and see.”
Elder Qian snorted and left with the other elders and students.
However, more and more people gathered around. Those with cultivation could see that these nine ancient buildings were undoubtedly a grand project.
Some even recognized the ancient tower as one from an ancient ruin from a few years ago. It was said to contain levels that could enhance one’s cultivation, but many cultivators had perished inside. They hadn’t expected it to be refined and brought out by someone.
From what Feng Siyue had just said, these buildings were for disciples to cultivate and live in. Cultivating inside would surely lead to rapid improvement in cultivation, and there would be safety guarantees.
Since they had been refined into treasures, they were now owned and would no longer harm lives.
“And this tall building, I think I’ve seen it in an ancient book. It’s the ancient city of Jingjue from ancient times. It has ninety-nine floors, and the higher you go, the stronger the spiritual energy!”
Suddenly, someone pointed to one of the magnificent tall buildings and exclaimed.
The tall building seemed to be made of glazed tiles and was the most beautiful and luxurious of all the buildings. It was adorned with patterns embedded with jade and gemstones, reflecting colorful lights and attracting the attention of many women.
As soon as the person finished speaking, there were exclamations of surprise all around.
If it really was the ancient city of Jingjue from ancient times, how valuable it must be!
“Master, it’s so beautiful! Master, I really want to live in it!”
The excited voice of Little Flame Phoenix echoed in Feng Siyue’s mind.
The Phoenix and Dragon clans loved these beautiful and shiny things. This ancient city of Jingjue was exactly what Little Flame Phoenix adored.
Feng Siyue knew these buildings were valuable, but she hadn’t realized just how precious they were.
She looked at Di Xuan Shang, her eyes sparkling more brightly than the glazed tiles.
Such a grand gift, how should she reciprocate?
Maybe, offer herself in return?
No, no, she dismissed the thought. It wasn’t the right time yet. Things that come too easily are often not cherished.
Although she was tempted by his chest muscles and wished she could have pinned him down long ago…
Shaking off those inappropriate thoughts, she was about to speak when Di Xuan Shang suddenly said to her, “Would you like to go inside and take a look?”
“Sure.”
Feng Siyue took her son’s hand, and Di Xuan Shang carried their daughter. They looked like a family of four as they entered the various buildings.
Once inside, she realized the vastness of the space. It already seemed large from the aerial view, but the interior was even more expansive.
These buildings could easily accommodate hundreds of thousands of people.
“It looks like I need to speed up the process of recruiting disciples; otherwise, I wouldn’t be doing justice to your thoughtful gift.”
She said with a smile, feeling extremely satisfied and beginning to form a preliminary plan in her mind.
She intended to recruit disciples from all over the world, filling these ancient buildings with people, to truly honor the gift he had given her.
Di Xuan Shang, seeing her happy and smiling eyes, felt his own mood lift.
He finally understood why some men were willing to spend a fortune just to see a woman smile. In the past, he had found it vulgar and boring, but now, he felt an urge to gather all the treasures in the world and present them to her.
Why did this little enchantress hold such immense charm for him?
It was as if she had cast a spell on him.
As Feng Siyue and Di Xuan Shang emerged from the ancient city of Jingjue, all eyes turned to them.
One was tall and slender, the other graceful and elegant. Although their faces were concealed, their demeanor exuded an inexplicable sense of compatibility.
Beside them were a boy and a girl, both looking like exquisite porcelain dolls, with a mischievous charm.
