Chapter 6: Ingredients
Not far from the restaurant, Fang Qi was carrying a person and dealing with the monster, hiding and observing.
The monster had a clear goal – to kill Fang Wenrui, but it was also aggressive to anyone who got in its way.
It was the same thing that he had encountered before at Fang’s house, with the same low IQ and the same disgusting feeling.
The four-legged monster had no skin on its body, and the mucus that kept dripping was the blood and tissue fluid mixed after he peeled the skin.
After being corroded by resentment, it became fishy and smelly.
Judging from its attack method, the unnatural deaths reported by Xie Ci were closely related to this thing in front of him.
But why did it attack Fang Wenrui? How did Fang Wenrui’s face get copied onto it?
Once again dodging the monster’s claws that were tearing towards him, Fang Qi raised his hand with force and slapped it hard.
The body of the four-legged monster that had just jumped up suddenly crawled on the ground, as if it was pressed by a huge rock.
It struggled and could not move, and let out an angry roar.
Fang Qi stopped looking at it. He put down the person in his hand and patted Fang Wenrui’s face: “Wake up.”
No movement.
Fang Qi patted again.
After patting several times in a row, the person who fainted finally woke up slowly.
Fang Wenrui opened his eyes in a daze. There was a thick fog in front of him and he couldn’t see anything clearly.
It was hard for his pupils to focus. At this time, the thing trapped by Fang Qi seemed to sense that the target had awakened.
It fought hard as if it had taken stimulants. The bloody mouth covered with transparent mucus swallowed Fang Wenrui in one gulp.
Fuck… shit!
Fang Wenrui felt the blood in his body flow backwards. He gasped and rolled his eyes. He was about to faint again.
If you dare to faint again, I will leave you here alone!”
The cold and heartless voice was like a shot of strong tranquilizer, forcibly pulling back the consciousness of the young master Fang.
Fang Wenrui panted and looked at Fang Qi, his mind full of: Who am I? Where am I?
What just happened?
What did the world do to him?!
After the monster fought hard, it lost its strength again and failed to escape the confinement of its natural enemy.
Fang Qi grabbed Fang Wenrui and motioned him to look at the four-legged monster on the ground, “Look, have you seen this thing before?”
Since it can leave a mark and copy Fang Wenrui’s face, it must have come into contact with Fang Wenrui.
Fang Wenrui’s three souls and seven spirits have not yet returned to their positions.
He looked in the direction pointed by Fang Qi in a daze and shook his head instinctively: “No… I haven’t seen it.”
Never seen it? Are you sure?
Yes, I haven’t seen it.
Fang Qi fell into thought. Fang Wenrui stood aside in a daze, looked at Fang Qi, and then carefully glanced at the monster lying on the ground.
He still doesn’t quite understand the situation.
What the hell is this thing?
What did Fang Qi just do to it?
He seemed to see that Fang Qi did nothing, and the monster pounced on him and lay down on its own.
How did he do this?
Fang Qi… is he still a human?
Suddenly the monster struggled again. Fang Wenrui turned his head and was caught off guard by the monster’s gaze that was staring straight at him.
He was so scared that he shrank back to Fang Qi. Seeing that Fang Qi didn’t react, he said dryly, “This giant salamander is so… so big.”
He seemed to be trying to find something to say to comfort himself.
Fang Qi paused slightly, looked up at him and said, “What?” Fang Wenrui: “What…what?”
Fang Qi said, “You said this is a giant salamander?”
Fang Wenrui blinked: “No…isn’t it?”
Fang Qi: “…”
He really hasn’t seen it.
“How do you know this is a giant salamander? Have you seen it?”
His tone suddenly became urgent. Fang Wenrui had lost the momentum he had when he caught up with him before, and answered truthfully, “I saw it in a book. Haven’t you seen a giant salamander?”
Fang Qi: “…”
I really haven’t seen it.
He looked at Fang Wenrui deeply for a while.
If this is a giant salamander, he suddenly thought of something, his face darkened, and he turned around and said, “Let’s go back to the hotel.”
Fang Wenrui was shocked: “Why go back to the hotel? What should I do with this thing against my face… Hey, wait for me!”
The two were not far from the hotel, and they ran to the door of the hotel in just two steps.
The vision became bright again, and Fang Wenrui finally breathed a sigh of relief.
However, before he could breathe a sigh of relief, another black shadow rushed over in front of him, so fast that only a residual shadow was left.
He didn’t even have time to exclaim, and was grabbed by a hand and thrown to the other side.
The rescuer obviously didn’t know how to take care of people at all. Fang Wenrui lost weight and ran forward for several steps before he stabilized his body.
He supported himself with both hands in time to avoid being hit like a pancake against the wall.
When he looked back again, the thing that attacked him had quickly dug a hole in the ground and drilled into the ground.
What…what is this?
Fang Qi paused and said, “Pangolin.”
Fang Wenrui: “…”
How could there be a pangolin in this place?
Ah – help! Don’t come over here! Get out of here!
A sharp cry for help came from not far away. Fang Wenrui looked up and suddenly found that there were not only pangolins but also many other things.
The one who called for help was a woman. She was being pulled tightly by a rabbit on the hem of her skirt. This palm-sized thing could pull her so hard that she couldn’t move.
The strange thing was that the rabbit had no head. Blood flowed out from the broken head and rubbed the woman all over.
Fang Qi had an impression of the woman. She sat not far from him during the meal. The woman ordered a dish at that time, which was spicy rabbit head.
Aren’t you going to save her?
Fang Qi: “?”
Why should I save her?
He looked puzzled, and when he lowered his head, he saw the reluctance on Fang Wenrui’s face.
At that moment, he didn’t know what he was thinking. The sentence “Take care of yourself” that he was about to blurt out became a comfort that was not really comforting.
Don’t worry, she won’t die.” Fang Qi said: “You can’t save her either.” Fang Wenrui: “?”
He quickly understood what Fang Qi meant.
With the hotel as the center, in the thick fog that rose outside, many things gradually emerged from the fog.
They were all black and bloody. Some of them could still clearly identify the prototype of animals, and some could no longer be distinguished!
“This… What is this? Crazy Zootopia?”
It’s still a horror version!
What’s even more weird is that they almost all have a human face. Those faces are complete and incomplete, but more or less familiar!
It’s the face I saw in the hotel lobby before.
Fang Wenrui took a step back involuntarily, and instinctively wanted to grab the person next to him, but he reached out and grabbed nothing.
Seeing that Fang Qi had already entered the hotel, Fang Wenrui was surprised: “What are you going to do again?”
The furnishings in the lobby were still the same as before, with no signs of being damaged.
The body of the girl whose abdomen was disemboweled was still there and no one cared about it.
The difference was that the people in the lobby were almost empty, and the few who were left had huddled together, shivering together.
Fang Qi first glanced at the door. Inside and outside the door, it seemed that there was some barrier separating the hotel lobby from the outside world.
No wonder only the lights in the hotel lobby were on.
He swept his eyes around the lobby and finally landed on the seat where he had sat before. Seeing that there was still someone sitting there, he walked straight over.
Yin Chi was still calm and composed, supporting his head with one hand and tapping the table with the other hand.
He seemed to have known that the person who rushed out would come back. When Fang Qi approached him, he smiled.
Fang Qi stood in front of him, looked at the place where Cao Jing and the others had been, and lowered his head and asked, “Where are the people?”
Yin Chi said, “Who?”
Fang Qi wanted to name the person, but found that he didn’t know the name of the person.
It was just that the person mentioned “my family’s restaurant” when he stood up.
He didn’t plan to ask the person following him, because the person in front of him was obviously asking knowingly.
“Oh, you ask the people who just troubled you here?” Yin Chi pretended to be surprised, “I told them that they were stared at by ghosts, they were very scared, and they had already escaped.”
The answer was expected.
But Fang Qi didn’t ask any more questions, and looked at this person who didn’t want to hide himself at all, and said with a deep look, “Who are you?”
Yin Chi smiled, “What do you think?”
Fang Qi: “…”
This person was weird from the moment he appeared.
He came quietly, with a face that everyone was paying attention to, but before he spoke, it seemed that no one noticed his existence.
Just like now, a group of people were shrouded in fear, and would rather gather together to be brave, but no one came over to ask this person who knew the “inside story”.
Was his words “I can’t get out” a warning or a kind reminder?
Fang Qi pondered and said, “Did you set up the barrier outside the door?”
Yin Chi raised his eyebrows and said noncommittally, “I hate power outages.”
This was a disguised admission.
What was his purpose in setting up the barrier?
Did those things outside have anything to do with him?
Before Fang Qi could figure it out, Fang Wenrui behind him couldn’t help but asked, “What barrier? What ghost? Are those things outside ghosts? What’s going on?”
He hadn’t had time to think about these things when he was being chased by monsters outside. Now that he was relatively safe, all the questions in his mind came to his mind.
Yin Chi looked surprised as if he had just seen him: “Are you scared, brother? I saw you were quite calm when you saw the corpse, why are you so scared now?”
Who is your brother…” Fang Wenrui subconsciously wanted to refute, but suddenly he glanced at Fang Qi, his face couldn’t help but feel a little awkward, and he muttered in a low voice: “Can corpses be the same as ghosts?”
Thinking of what he had just seen in the fog, Fang Wenrui couldn’t help but shudder.
It’s not quite the same.” Yin Chi said: “But those things outside are not ghosts, they are vengeful spirits, that is, a pile of corpses corroded by resentment.”
Corpses? That’s all?
Fang Wenrui stared again.
Then…what kind of corpses are they? How did they become like this?”
You have to ask the owner of the restaurant.” Yin Chi smiled and said: “Look at those things outside, what do they look like?”
Fang Wenrui: “…what?”
His mind was obviously not working at this moment.
Yin Chi said again: “Then let me ask another way, what do you think the animals in the restaurant are?”
Fang Wenrui was still confused.
Fang Qi replied coldly, “Ingredients.”
Fang Wenrui: “!!
Ingredients?!
