Chapter 15

The wild wolf howled twice, nodded excitedly, and walked ahead, occasionally looking back to see if Xia Yunxuan was following it.

They didn’t walk far before the wolf led Xia Yunxuan to a cave. Inside, there was a she-wolf. Judging by her belly, she was about to give birth. Moreover, she was injured.

The she-wolf smelled the strange scent and was very fierce. She howled a few times and tried to get up. The male wolf howled a few times, and the she-wolf calmed down.

Xia Yunxuan looked at the male wolf and asked, “Do you want me to save her?” The male wolf nodded again. He even stood up in a human-like way and bowed to Xia Yunxuan with his two paws.

FeiFei in the space also said, “Sister, this wolf will be very useful to you in the future. The she-wolf is carrying two wolf cubs. She’s about to give birth now. If you weren’t here, she would probably have a difficult labor. Sister, please save them. You can put them in your space.”

“Don’t worry, I can communicate with them. I’ll make sure they stay in one place and don’t destroy your space. Otherwise, you can throw them out.”

“Sister, besides, you’re doing a good deed. Maybe your space will change in the future. You never know.”

After listening to FeiFei’s words, Xia Yunxuan looked at the male wolf and said, “I can save her, but on one condition. You have to follow me. I’ll take you to a place. You can’t destroy anything there, understand?”

The male wolf nodded. Xia Yunxuan waved her hand, and both the she-wolf and the male wolf were put into her space. They were suddenly in a different place. The male wolf howled. Xia Yunxuan said, “Don’t howl. Your wife is there. You take care of her.”

“Her leg is injured. I need to find some medicine for her. Otherwise, her leg might not be saved.” The male wolf was already intelligent. After drinking the spiritual spring water, he became even smarter. He knew that he had to treat his wife’s injury. The male wolf followed behind Xia Yunxuan.

Xia Yunxuan didn’t care. She quickly found some medicine. After finding the medicine, she took out some spiritual spring water. She went to the she-wolf and said to the male wolf, “You need to talk to your wife. It will hurt a little when I treat her injury. Tell her not to bite me. Otherwise, you both have to go out. I don’t care about you.”

The male wolf nodded and howled at the she-wolf. After hearing this, the she-wolf obediently lay down on the ground. Xia Yunxuan first fed the she-wolf some spiritual spring water. Then she used the spiritual spring water to wash her wound. After washing it, she removed the pus and inflammation, applied medicine, and bandaged it. Luckily, when she was treating her, the she-wolf moved around a little but didn’t look at her fiercely.

Xia Yunxuan said to the male wolf, “I’ve treated your wife’s injury. She’ll be able to walk slowly in a few days. You take good care of her.” Xia Yunxuan pointed to a place. “You can eat those things, but you can’t cause any damage, okay?”

The male wolf nodded and lay down next to the she-wolf, very docile. It was so comfortable here. The male wolf didn’t want to leave. Plus, there was that sweet water to drink. He was a smart wolf, he wasn’t stupid.

Xia Yunxuan still told FeiFei to keep an eye on them. She was afraid that the two wolves would destroy her space. Otherwise, she would be furious.

After Xia Yunxuan flashed out of her space, she walked forward. Since she had time to go to the deep mountains, she decided to take a look around.

She didn’t walk far before she came across a group of wild boars. There were five or six of them, two big ones and four smaller ones. They must be a family. “Well, since I’ve met them, I might as well put them in my space. I can sell them at the black market later.”

When Xia Yunxuan got a little closer, the wild boars noticed someone behind them and were about to attack. Xia Yunxuan waved her hand, and the boars were instantly transported to another place.

Seeing that it was getting late, Xia Yunxuan prepared to go back. She had to go to the Captain’s house tonight and tell him to give her a lighter job.

Xia Yunxuan had a great day. She went down the mountain quickly. It didn’t take long before Xia Yunxuan walked out of the deep mountains. She also picked up a bundle of firewood as camouflage to avoid those gossipy people thinking she was slacking off.

Back in her little room, she quickly went into her space to take a bath. She was still hot from walking. She checked her phone. It was probably time for the Captain and the others to get off work. She had to ask the Captain for help with building a house. What kind of gift should she give him that wouldn’t be too obvious or flashy?

After thinking for a while, she took out a pack of cigarettes, a bottle of liquor, a bag of brown sugar, a handful of noodles, and a few Big White Rabbit candies. That should be enough.

After all, she just needed to find some people to help her build the house. She would pay them herself. She just needed to ask the Captain for help. He was the Captain. Everything had to go through him. Otherwise, it would be disrespectful.

Xia Yunxuan tidied up in her space and ate dinner. Then she heard the factory whistle in the village. She took her things and slowly walked towards the Captain’s house.

When she arrived at the Captain’s house, she could hear Auntie Hu cooking from outside. Xia Yunxuan stood outside and called out, “Auntie Hu, are the Captain and you at home?”

Hu Guiqin heard Xia Yunxuan’s voice and called out from inside, “It’s Girl Yun. Come in quickly. I’m busy cooking. Your Captain is also home.”

“Okay, Auntie. You go on cooking. I have something to ask the Captain.” Xia Daming saw the little girl and said, “Little girl, why did you bring things? It’s not good if people see you.”

“Captain, it’s nothing bad. Besides, I have something to ask you. Sit down first, little girl. What do you need?” Xia Yunxuan sat down and put her things next to the Captain.

“Captain, I have two things to ask you for help with. First, could you please find some people to help me build a house? Don’t worry, I’ll pay them myself. But it’s not convenient for me to cook alone. I won’t provide meals, but I can pay them more.”

The Captain said, “Why don’t you stay in that small room for now? Building a house costs money. You just left that family. You don’t have any money. Even if you borrowed some money from your classmate, you’ll have to pay it back later.”

“Captain, that small room is just temporary. It’s public property. If I build my own house, it’ll be mine, and I’ll sleep more peacefully. Don’t you think so?”

The Captain said, “You’re a smart girl. You’re thinking ahead. That’s fine. We’re not very busy right now. I’ll find a few more people for you. It won’t take a few days to build it. How many rooms do you want? You don’t need to build a big house, just for yourself.”
