His Romance
His Romance Chapter 3.1

In an instant, everyone in the store turned their gaze towards the staircase. Upon seeing the man who appeared, they were collectively stunned.

At the top of the stairs stood a man with a refined appearance, deep-set eyes, and sharp, chiseled features. His posture was tall and straight, and he leaned lazily against the handrail, looking down at the group below with a casual, half-lidded gaze.

Of course, that wasn’t the most notable detail. The key point was that his hair was still wet, as if he had just stepped out of the shower.

It was almost as if he had just finished doing something with his wife.

Adding to this, the words he spoke were highly suggestive.

Not only were the surrounding customers and the employees like Qiuqiu shocked, even Zhou Zuizui was a bit distracted and surprised. It had been a long time since she had seen this side of Shen Nan…

This man had always left an impression of being tough, rarely showing such a domestic and gentle side in front of others. The last time she had seen this was after they had been together…

Thinking of this, Zhou Zuizui snapped back to reality, averting her gaze with a slight cough, feeling a bit thirsty.

Playing along with Shen Nan’s act, she playfully glanced at him, “I still have some things to do. I’ll come back later, you go ahead and sleep.”

Upon hearing this, Shen Nan’s eyes burned into hers, and he responded teasingly, “Then hurry up, I’ll be waiting for you.”

Zhou Zuizui bit her lip, shyly agreeing, “Alright.”

Shen Nan smiled and glanced past her to make eye contact with Leopard, who had been watching him intently from the side. He nodded slightly, “Everyone, make yourselves at home.”

After speaking, Shen Nan turned his back to everyone, casually ran his fingers through his wet hair, and walked away as if nothing had happened.

The crowd: “…”

How are they supposed to make themselves at home after that?

Leopard stared at Shen Nan’s retreating figure for a long while, then gave Qiangzi a meaningful look.

Qiangzi nodded knowingly.

After watching Shen Nan leave, Zhou Zuizui pressed her lips together, blushing as she shyly smiled at everyone, “Sorry, my husband has been away for a long time, so he’s a bit clingy.”

Leopard responded with a meaningful “Oh,” his eyes filled with curiosity as he looked at Zhou Zuizui, “What does your husband do?”

“He’s in business,” Zhou Zuizui lowered her head, explaining with a soft smile, “But I’m not too sure about the details. We’ve been married for a long time, and he’s always been traveling.”

“Is that so?” Leopard looked her over, seemingly disappointed, “Aren’t you curious?”

Zhou Zuizui smiled warmly, “My husband is a bit of a chauvinist; he doesn’t like it when I ask too many questions.”

On the side, Qiuqiu widened her eyes in surprise at her boss, asking innocently, “Sis, so when you told us you were married, you weren’t joking?”

“Of course not,” Zhou Zuizui shrugged, “When have I ever lied to you?”

Qiuqiu: “…”

True, she never had, but when Zhou Zuizui mentioned being married that one night, it was so offhandedly, like something said in jest while drunk. Everyone laughed it off, saying things like, “If you’re married, then my kid must be such-and-such age.”

After that, everyone just assumed it was a joke and never brought it up again.

And the most important thing was, their boss had always had a suitor, someone everyone liked very much.

Even though Zhou Zuizui kept saying she wasn’t interested in that person and always acted coldly towards him, everyone still held out hope that the two would eventually end up together.

But now—

The boss’s revelation that she was married and had a husband turned out to be true?!

And judging by the scene just now, the two were even very much in love?!

For a moment, Qiuqiu began to doubt reality.

Zhou Zuizui turned her attention back to the table of customers, her voice returning to its usual cool tone, “Is there anything else?”

Leopard studied her for a moment before casually replying, “Sorry, I was just curious about your husband; he reminds me of someone we know.”

Zhou Zuizui nodded in understanding.

“Businessmen meet a lot of people; it’s not surprising.”

Leopard nodded, “Nothing more to say. Are you the owner of this place?”

“Yes,” Zhou Zuizui gestured to Lin Mu, “If you need anything, our staff can take care of it.”

“Alright.”

After saying that, Zhou Zuizui straightened her posture and walked up the stairs slowly, her pace unhurried.

Once she had disappeared from view, Qiangzi looked at Leopard, “I’ll head out for a bit.”

Leopard remained silent, taking a drink from a nearby bottle.

Meanwhile, Qiuqiu and the others busied themselves attending to the customers and handling their orders.

However, during the brief moments of quiet, Qiuqiu couldn’t help but wonder how a man had suddenly appeared upstairs, claiming to be her sister’s husband.

She had been watching the entrance all morning and hadn’t seen anyone go up.

Though puzzled, Qiuqiu kept her questions to herself. After working under Zhou Zuizui for over a year, she had learned to read the room and knew better than to ask unnecessary questions.

Ten minutes earlier, when Lin Ping had messaged Zhou Zuizui, Shen Nan had also sent her a message, even beating Lin Ping to it.

Zhou Zuizui was surprised by Shen Nan’s message but found it plausible.

Shen Nan had warned her that the situation was unsafe, that there were questionable people staying at her inn who might ask her questions. He advised her to answer truthfully and then asked if she was staying upstairs or downstairs.

Despite her confusion, Zhou Zuizui told him.

Shen Nan, who was just across the street, took only two minutes to reach her place. He climbed up to the second floor from the backyard, finding a half-open window to slip through.

And it just so happened to be Zhou Zuizui’s room.

Which led to the scene that had just caused all the misunderstandings.
