Chapter 12 : Space Items
A thousand horses galloped through Su Xieqiu’s heart.
If she had known this, why would she have studied and worked so hard?
Just as she had started to achieve some success, she was sent back to the 1970s, when people were neither well-fed nor starving.
Why should she pay for the mistakes made by the ghost messenger from the underworld?
And that other Su Xieqiu, you only see my big house and decent job.
Why don’t you look at how much I suffered when I was a child? How hard I worked to get those things?
But it was meaningless to say this now, as she couldn’t go to the underworld to seek justice from the King of Hell.
Since it can’t be changed, I can only compromise and live a good life here from now on.
Su Xieqiu sighed, and remembering the use of the golden finger, she immediately began to count the supplies.
On the storage shelf were several buckets of instant noodles and hot and sour rice noodles, two bags of ham, and four large sausages, a tray of 30 eggs, and various dry goods, etc.
At the bottom was a bag of vermicelli, which a colleague had brought from her hometown. It weighed about five pounds and was homemade sweet potato vermicelli.
On the kitchen counter were freshly opened bottles of oil, salt, sauce, vinegar, and various seasonings. In the cupboard were a few pounds of rice, a bag of noodles, a can of oatmeal, and a little flour and coarse grains.
These were bought when she first moved in. Although they had been opened, she hadn’t eaten much.
There was also an unopened ten-pound bag of rice, a ten-pound bag of flour, a five-liter bucket of peanut oil, two half-pound bags of dried black fungus, two bags of dried shiitake mushrooms, a ten-pound box of apples, and a ten-pound box of oranges in the living room. These had been the company’s New Year gifts.
She had originally planned to give the rice, flour, and oil distributed by the company to the security guard in the community who had helped her move things.
But when she came back that day, the security guard wasn’t on duty, so she took the things home and planned to ask the uncle to come and collect them. Who knew she would travel through time and space and end up here that night?
Now, Su Xieqiu was very glad that the security guard had not been on duty that day; otherwise, after these things were sent out, there would be even fewer supplies in the space.
She opened the refrigerator again, and inside was a five-pound box of cherries, a two-pound box of strawberries, a few pears, and a box of kiwis. The rest were some fruit juice drinks, yogurt, and various hot pot ingredients.
In the freezer, there was a processed local chicken, a local duck, a sea bass, a mullet, and two bags of processed mullet fillets.
There were also two or three pounds of ribs, a piece of pork belly, a piece of lean meat, a piece of beef, and a few pounds of lamb chops.
There was also a box of shrimp, about three pounds. On the bottom layer were a few boxes of grilled sausages, some frozen foods, and a few boxes of yogurt ice cream.
Because the Chinese New Year was approaching, Su Xieqiu had also bought some snacks, including potato chips, dried fruits, chocolate, and candy…
After counting the food, she smiled with satisfaction.
There were enough supplies for her to live well here.
Besides, they could be replenished once a month, which was more than enough for her.
It was a pity that the things in here couldn’t be sold, which was unfortunate.
But Su Xieqiu also understood that people shouldn’t be too greedy, or else they might be bitten back.
She went to the bedroom again. She had turned on the air conditioner when she went to sleep before traveling through time, but now it was turned off.
The bed was covered with a four-piece suit with brushed sides on both sides, and the quilt was cotton. There was also a thick quilt, two air-conditioning quilts, two sets of four-piece suits for changing, and her clothes for all seasons in the cupboard.
Su Xieqiu looked around happily and rolled around on the bed.
She decided that in this life, she would no longer work as hard as she did in her previous life.
With the golden finger of compensation from the King of Hell, she lived a comfortable and peaceful life in this small mountain village for several years.
At least she had to lie down until the college entrance examination was resumed.
Then, she would take advantage of these few years to review her lessons and take the college entrance examination. The first college entrance examination was very valuable.
After understanding the purpose of the golden finger and sorting out the items inside, Su Xieqiu prepared to go out.
As soon as this thought came into her mind, the scene changed instantly, and she was already lying on the earthen kang.
Su Xieqiu climbed up from the kang, leaned over to look out through the crack in the door. There was no one in the yard, and the main room was also quiet. They must have all gone to work.
She stretched and was about to take a nap when she saw that the clothes she had taken off yesterday had not been washed yet, and the original owner’s quilt and pillow also smelled of sweat.
Su Xieqiu originally wanted to take everything off and wash it, but she had just been to the hospital yesterday and had another fight this morning, so everyone knew that she was seriously injured.
If she washed the quilt now, it would seem like the wound on her head was fake.
She decided to endure it for two more days and only wash the clothes she had taken off yesterday.
When she went to the backyard to hang the clothes, she saw that Han Zhenyu’s clothes were already dry. He must have washed his clothes after taking a shower yesterday.
Su Xieqiu followed the original owner’s habit and hung the clothes to dry in the corner, then carefully looked around the rather large backyard.
The yards here in the Northeast are quite large, and the vegetable gardens are also in their own yards.
The Han family’s backyard had about an acre of land, where seasonal vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplants, and kidney beans were planted.
Su Xieqiu picked a cucumber, washed it, and started to chew it.
Seeing the juicy tomatoes next to her, she picked another one.
In the past, the original owner didn’t even dare to touch these cucumbers and tomatoes.
She remembered one time when she was so hungry that she secretly picked a tomato and was seen by Zhang Qianyun. She didn’t say anything at the time, but turned around and told Han Meili.
Han Meili pointed at her and scolded her, then told her mother, Yang Lanhua.
This really stirred up a hornet’s nest. Just for a tomato, Yang Lanhua pinched and scolded her.
In the end, the original owner compensated her with the only dollar she had, and the matter was settled.
Su Xieqiu cursed inwardly, then sat on a wooden stake in the backyard and started eating.
Ever since she found out that the original owner went to the underworld to ask for her identity back, Su Xieqiu no longer felt any guilt toward her.
Since this was her life, it was understandable to change it back. But how she lived in the future depended on her own luck.
Although it was the ghost’s fault, the King of Hell handled it fairly and gave her a golden finger as compensation.
Su Xieqiu was very satisfied with the outcome.
After finishing the cucumber and tomato, she slowly returned to her room.
She pushed the smelly quilt on the kang aside and lay down to sleep.
The wound on her head was quite serious, and she had to rest for a while to avoid any sequelae. Otherwise, she would be the one to suffer in the future.
Su Xieqiu was awakened by the voices of Han Meili and Zhang Qianyun making indirect accusations.
Zhang Qianyun whispered something, and Han Meili said loudly in a sarcastic tone:
“Second sister-in-law, she has someone to back her up now, how could she take us seriously? Didn’t you see that she even dared to snatch her parents’ egg custard this morning? She has no manners at all. I don’t know how her parents in the city taught their daughter.”
Su Xieqiu stretched lazily and thought to herself, she really only remembers the food and not the beating.
It seems that I was too lenient with the attack yesterday, and these two people have not learned their lesson at all.
She jumped off the kang and slammed the door open.
Zhang Qianyun and Han Meili, who were cooking in the kitchen, were startled.
Seeing that Su Xieqiu was staring at them, the two of them looked away guiltily.
Su Xieqiu walked to the kitchen door and said coldly, “What’s wrong? Are you mute? You were scolding me very vigorously just now. Keep going. It’s better for everyone to hear how my stepmother-in-law taught her daughter to scold her sister-in-law.”
She picked up the kitchen knife on the chopping board and swung it twice. When Zhang Qianyun wasn’t paying attention, she grabbed her braid and said gloomily:
“Don’t think I don’t know that you’re behind this. If I hear you making up stories about me and sowing discord again, I’ll chop you up.”
After saying that, she raised her knife and cut off half of Zhang Qianyun’s braid.
She grinned and threw the hair in her hand into the pot. The smell of burnt hair instantly spread throughout the kitchen.
