Chapter 28 : Negotiations before the Separation

Su Xieqiu looked at Yang Chunhua, who was speaking slowly in front of her, and knew that this smiling tiger was even more formidable than her sister, Yang Lanhua.

However, she had encountered many people like this in her previous life. All those colleagues at the office appeared gentle and kind on the surface, but were scheming and deceitful behind the scenes. They fought both openly and secretly for their own interests, and even their smiles were filled with hidden daggers.

Su Xieqiu stared at Yang Chunhua for a moment, then mimicked her smile. But the words she said weren’t as pleasant “Are those two holes on your face caused by blindness?”

Yang Chunhua paused and said, with a hint of displeasure, “Zhenyu’s wife, how can you speak like that?”

“I just find it strange. If you aren’t blind, why didn’t you notice the wound on my head?” Su Xieqiu took off the gauze from her head, approached her, and said, “Look, this is what your niece did to me. I was unconscious in bed for two days, and the doctor said I could have died if it got any worse. I won’t be able to do heavy work in the future, and the serious aftereffects will torment me for the rest of my life.”

Once everyone clearly saw the wound on her head, she wrapped the gauze around it again, then walked in front of Yang Chunhua, stared at her, and said:

“When I first married into this family, you often told me that my mother-in-law had a hard time and asked me to listen to her and be filial. I did everything you said. I did whatever my mother-in-law asked me to do. She also took away all the money I brought from home. I was so obedient, But why did you still bully me?”

After saying that, she shifted from her previous gentle demeanor and looked at Yang Chunhua with anger.

“You black-hearted old woman, you pretended not to see that I was seriously injured, but you falsely accused me of beating your niece. Do you think I’m easy to bully? Oh, is that so? Is that so…”

As she was about to strangle Yang Chunhua, she kept muttering, “Since you won’t let me live, let’s die together.”

Except for Han Zhenyu, everyone was shocked by her actions. Yang Chunhua fell backward, toppling her stool.

Seeing this, her husband, Han Baoshan, immediately rushed to push Su Xieqiu away.

But before he could get close, Han Zhenyu stepped in, protecting Su Xieqiu behind him. He narrowed his eyes at Han Baoshan, “Why? Do you still want to do something?”

Han Baoshan glared and cursed, “You bastard, are you blind? Didn’t you see that it was your wife who pushed your aunt?”

“You’re the bastard, you’re blind. Who do you think Yang Chunhua is? What right does she have to teach me a lesson? You really have no business interfering in other people’s affairs.” Before Han Zhenyu could speak, Su Xieqiu pointed at Han Baoguo’s nose and cursed back.

Finally, she said sarcastically, “You’re not young anymore. If you don’t want to be scolded, just behave yourself.”

Yang Chunhua had already been helped up by Yang Lanhua and Li Biyun. After hearing Su Xieqiu humiliate her in public, her previous friendly attitude evaporated.

She narrowed her eyes, the same as Yang Lanhua’s, and accused, “You really don’t know what’s good for you, girl. I’m your aunt, and I’m doing this for your own good. How dare you speak to me like that?”

Su Xieqiu sneered and said disdainfully, “You can’t even sort out your own family affairs, yet you come to other people’s houses like a gossip, pointing fingers. You really think you’re an important person.”

Then, with a half-smile, she looked at her and added, “There’s one more thing you should get straight. You are not my aunt. Don’t try to be my relative.”

Yang Chunhua was so angry that she choked, thinking that Su Xieqiu had become a scoundrel, and there was no way to communicate with her anymore.

Li Biyun, who was close to her, could no longer stand it and frowned, saying, “Zhenyu’s wife, Chunhua is your elder, after all. How can you talk to her like that?”

Su Xieqiu knew this old woman was just like Yang Lanhua and Yang Chunhua, so she responded bluntly:

“How I speak depends on her attitude. If she’s polite to me, I will respect her. If she throws cold water on me, I will boil water and throw it back! This is called ‘not returning the favor.'”

“Let me tell you, I have died once, so I’m not afraid of anything anymore. If anyone bullies me like before, we’ll go to hell together.”

Su Xieqiu’s threats of violence and intimidation silenced the room for a while.

Li Biyun also kept quiet. Although she had a good relationship with Yang Lanhua and Yang Chunhua, it wasn’t her own business. There was no need to provoke someone who was clearly mad.

Sun Quan and Han Youming observed the entire exchange and silently applauded.

They both thought, ‘The young wife that Zhenyu married is truly impressive. She silenced those nagging old women.’

Han Zhenyu glanced at everyone’s expressions and then said to Han Baoguo and Yang Lanhua, “Didn’t you say you wanted to split the family? Now the captain and several uncles are here, what do you think?”

Yang Lanhua shot Han Baoguo a look, signaling him to speak.

Just before Han Zhenyu and Su Xieqiu went to invite the team leader, their family had already discussed the matter.

There is only one yard in the house, so Han Zhenyu definitely cannot stay there.

The food is almost gone, and there’s no money left in the house. What is there to share? They might as well let them move out.

Han Baoguo hesitated for a moment and said, “Everyone knows our family’s situation. We work in the fields all year, and there’s nothing left except for food. Now that the eldest son is married and his wife doesn’t get along with the family, there’s no point in making a fuss. Let’s just separate them.”

Su Xieqiu sneered, looking at him mockingly. “I didn’t expect my father-in-law to be so good at twisting the truth. You only say that I don’t get along with the family, but you never mention how they bullied me. But it’s not surprising. You don’t even care about your eldest son, so why would you care about me, your daughter-in-law?”

She didn’t give Han Baoguo a chance to argue. With a cold snort, she placed her hands on her hips and said, “If you want to divide the family, give us this yard, and you move out.”

The entire Han family stared at her in disbelief.

They hadn’t expected her to be so bold as to try to claim their big yard! She really dared to think that way.

Yang Lanhua narrowed her triangular eyes and smiled coldly, “You’re so arrogant. I built this house. Why should I give it to you?”

To everyone’s surprise, Su Xieqiu didn’t even glance at her. Instead, she directly asked Han Baoguo, “When you just mentioned splitting the family, does that mean we should leave with nothing?”

Han Baoguo hesitated and didn’t answer immediately. Guiltily, he avoided eye contact with his eldest daughter-in-law.

Su Xieqiu sneered and said bluntly, “Is this the stepmother? I won’t say anything, but are you also the stepfather? You’re just kicking your son out like that without giving him anything. Are you going to let him sleep under the sky and on the ground, freezing in the snow in winter?”
