Chapter 28
Su Xingyao was brushing Coral’s fur.
As soon as Lu Jiuxu spoke, both he and the two animals’ gazes fell on him.
Sunset had already run up to Lu Jiuxu’s side, sniffing with its nose, trying to figure out what it was.
Coral also jumped off Su Xingyao’s lap and curiously looked at the skateboard.
Not long ago, Su Xingyao had developed a longing for skateboarding, and now Lu Jiuxu had already bought one. Su Xingyao thought that Lu Jiuxu was just like Doraemon with his magic pocket, able to pull out anything amazing.
Su Xingyao glanced at the “big toy” in Lu Jiuxu’s hand, and his heart was immediately stirred with excitement.
He walked up to Lu Jiuxu, took one of the skateboards, and gently ran his hand along the edge, feeling a mix of longing and hesitation. “But I’ve never played with this before.”
Although skateboarding was indeed cool, for someone without experience, it could also lead to some rather ridiculous falls.
“I don’t know how to either.”
Lu Jiuxu looked up at Su Xingyao, the ends of his narrow eyes curving slightly. “But there’s no rule that says someone who doesn’t know how can’t try.”
After saying this, he tore off the plastic packaging from the skateboard, stood it up, and with three fingers, spun it a few times.
“Let’s go, Mr. Xiao Su. Let’s go try it out.”
Lu Jiuxu grabbed the spinning skateboard with one hand and started walking toward the door.
The setting sun’s light bathed him, making him look exceptionally handsome and carefree.
Su Xingyao, watching Lu Jiuxu’s back, felt himself drawn in and also picked up his skateboard with one hand.
“Wait for me, I need to change my shoes.”
While Su Xingyao hurriedly changed into his sneakers, he noticed that the dog, Sunset, who was eager to go out, had followed him.
The little dog’s round, dark eyes looked at Su Xingyao with a face that clearly said, “I want to go too.”
Su Xingyao patted its head and patiently explained.
“Although I want to take you with me, I might fall badly while skateboarding, and I might not be able to take care of myself. Let’s wait until I come back, and we’ll play together next time.”
Sunset whimpered and lay down on the ground, making a few soft whiny sounds, as if pouting.
Su Xingyao rubbed its head, comforting it, and only then did it calm down.
After saying goodbye to the dog and cats, Su Xingyao put on a baseball cap and hurriedly jogged to catch up with Lu Jiuxu.
They didn’t go far.
Lu Jiuxu led Su Xingyao directly to a small river behind the villa area.
Since fewer people lived here, the area around this small river was relatively secluded.
At this time, the spacious area had no other pedestrians except for Lu Jiuxu and Su Xingyao.
It was the perfect place to practice skateboarding.
“This place is so peaceful.”
Su Xingyao had been living here for a while but had never come to this place before.
Lu Jiuxu placed the skateboard on the ground. “There aren’t many people here. I used to come here occasionally when I had free time.”
After saying this, he pushed the skateboard a short distance forward.
The skateboard glided smoothly for quite a distance.
Once he confirmed that the path was smooth and there were no safety hazards, Lu Jiuxu picked up the skateboard and nodded at Su Xingyao. “Want to give it a try?”
Su Xingyao, who had been itching to try, quickly put on the protective gear and stepped onto the skateboard first.
Although he’d never ridden a skateboard, he had seen enough to know how it worked.
Su Xingyao stepped his right foot onto the board, trying to find his balance.
Once he felt stable enough, he gently pressed down with his left foot and began moving forward, bit by bit.
In theory, it should have been smooth, but reality was another matter entirely.
While the kids and the youthful teens could jump, spin, and glide effortlessly, doing cool tricks with their eyes closed, Su Xingyao was stuck, awkwardly trying to stay balanced, constantly afraid he would fall flat on his face.
In the end, for his own safety, he could only slowly glide along at a speed comparable to a tortoise.
But even at such a slow pace, every time he confidently lifted his toes, his body would immediately start to tilt and wobble as he couldn’t find his balance.
After gliding for about ten meters, Su Xingyao finally realized that he truly lacked the talent to be a skateboarding pro!
However, he didn’t give up.
He reassured himself, telling himself that it was okay not to be as good as others, and that by practicing more, he could slowly improve.
Once he had his mindset in order, he tried again, slowly gliding along. After getting a bit more comfortable, he turned his head.
When he noticed that Lu Jiuxu was still standing in place, watching him, he couldn’t help but laugh and wave at him.
“Mr. Lu, you’re falling behind!”
Lu Jiuxu looked at the sparkling smile in Su Xingyao’s eyes, and the corners of his slender eyes curved slightly.
His voice was gentle as he replied, “I’m coming.”
Seeing that Lu Jiuxu was about to start, Su Xingyao stopped and waited for him.
What followed was a surprising realization: although both of them were beginners, it was clear that Lu Jiuxu had much more talent.
He glided smoothly, his movements light and silky.
Su Xingyao, who was ahead, watched as Lu Jiuxu casually glided a few times and easily caught up to him. It was a huge blow to his confidence.
“We started at the same time, how can the difference be so big?”
Actually, Su Xingyao knew his statement wasn’t entirely accurate.
Because he had started a little earlier than Lu Jiuxu, so it wasn’t really the same starting lineā¦
But in the face of such overwhelming competitiveness, he conveniently overlooked that small detail and forced it to fit his narrative.
As Su Xingyao spoke, Lu Jiuxu, who had been gliding smoothly, brushed past him.
Immediately, a pleasant low laugh reached his ears.
“Mr. Xiao Su, you’ve fallen behind.”
The wind tousled the man’s hair slightly, and when he looked at Su Xingyao, his slightly raised chin was accentuated, giving his profile a sharper, clearer line.
Seeing that Lu Jiuxu had just repeated his words, Su Xingyao, who was trying hard to steady himself, felt slightly mocked.
“Damn it! Wait until I catch up with you.”
Once again stirred by his competitive spirit, Su Xingyao stubbornly pushed forward.
Although he spoke with determination, his movements on the skateboard remained stiff, and he couldn’t manage to gain much speed. His actions were still clumsy.
After carefully gliding a few more steps, the sound of laughter reached his ears again, clearer this time.
As Su Xingyao gritted his teeth in frustration, Lu Jiuxu slowed down and stopped the skateboard, walking back to his side.
Seeing him approach, Su Xingyao spoke before he could.
“I think I need lessons.”
He looked up at Lu Jiuxu, his eyes full of expectation.
“Mr. Lu, can you teach me…”
While talking to Lu Jiuxu, Su Xingyao’s legs wobbled, and with a misstep, he was about to fall forward.
The suddenness of the situation made him quickly change his words to, “Hey, hey, hey, hold me!”
Fortunately, Su Xingyao managed to regain his balance just in time.
His arm was caught by Lu Jiuxu, whose hands were as long and defined as umbrella spokes.
Seeing how hard it was for Su Xingyao to concentrate on practicing, Lu Jiuxu stopped laughing, refraining from teasing him further.
“I’ll hold you up. Take it slow, don’t rush.”
“Mm-hmm.”
Su Xingyao quickly agreed.
With someone supporting him, he felt much more secure as a beginner.
After gripping Lu Jiuxu’s hand tightly with his left hand, his movements on the skateboard became much more relaxed.
As he glided along, he could hear Lu Jiuxu patiently giving him instructions.
He corrected Su Xingyao’s foot placement and constantly advised him on how to stabilize his center of gravity.
Su Xingyao didn’t know how long he had been practicing, but by the time the sky darkened, he could sense a marked improvement in his skills.
“Mr. Lu, can you check my progress?”
After the lesson, Su Xingyao had changed the way he addressed Lu Jiuxu.
Lu Jiuxu didn’t correct him and simply responded gently, “I’m letting go now.”
Su Xingyao adjusted his posture and then focused intently as he glided forward.
After practicing, he had made significant progress. Now, Su Xingyao had improved enough that he could stand on the skateboard for several seconds.
As the sky darkened, Su Xingyao turned the skateboard around and started heading home.
He was in high spirits and planned to glide all the way back.
However, an unexpected incident occurred in an instant.
As it got darker and his visibility was reduced outside the streetlight’s range, Su Xingyao didn’t see an obstacle suddenly appear in his path.
By the time he reacted, the skateboard had already veered off course.
The sudden shift in balance made it impossible for him to steady himself.
With a thud, the skateboard was knocked several meters away.
Su Xingyao was thrown off and fell to the ground.
The shocking moment caused his brain to stop for a few seconds.
When he finally came to his senses, he realized that his knee was just a few centimeters from the ground.
A little lower, and he would have had a nasty fall.
“Mr. Xiao Su…”
The voice from above and the warmth of a body pressing against his cheek brought Su Xingyao back to his senses.
It turned out that he hadn’t fallen and injured himself because Lu Jiuxu had quickly caught him.
His heart was still racing from the near-miss.
Su Xingyao quickly released his arms, which had instinctively clung tightly to Lu Jiuxu’s waist, and took two steps back, thanking him.
“Thank you.”
Lu Jiuxu looked down at him. “Did you get hurt anywhere?”
Su Xingyao moved his foot. “No, no, the skateboard didn’t hit me.”
After this small incident, Su Xingyao walked carefully back home.
He hadn’t brought his phone with him when he left, so it wasn’t until he returned that he noticed Lu Zhiyun had sent him many messages on WeChat.
At first, Su Xingyao thought it was something urgent.
But when he opened the chat, he realized that Lu Zhiyun had just been inviting him to play games.
Seeing that it was still early, Su Xingyao replied.
Su Xingyao: Are we still playing?
Lu Zhiyun, as if glued to his phone 24/7, immediately replied as soon as the message was sent.
Lu Zhiyun: Let’s play!
Along with the message, a team invitation was sent.
Su Xingyao clicked on the shared link, and the login screen for [1]“Honor of Kings or āKing of Gloryā – is a popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game. It is primarily played on mobile devices and is one of the most successful and widely … Continue readingKing of Glory popped up automatically.
Since he had recently changed his phone number, he no longer used his old account. After logging in with his new number, he had to go through the beginner’s tutorial.
Su Xingyao took a while to successfully team up with Lu Zhiyun.
At this moment, Lu Jiuxu had finished his shower and walked over to him.
He smelled very fresh and pleasant, likely from the shower gel he had used.
Su Xingyao looked up at him and showed him the phone screen. “We’re playing King of Glory. Want to join?”
Lu Jiuxu didn’t say much and just pulled out his phone to open the game.
The familiar TIMI voice played, and Lu Jiuxu glanced at Su Xingyao. “Can you invite me?”
“Okay.”
After spending the day together, Su Xingyao wasn’t surprised that Lu Jiuxu played games as well.
He knew that although the books described him as cold and terrifying, in reality, he was a warm, flesh-and-blood person with a kind heart.
Su Xingyao invited Lu Jiuxu into the game, but just as they were about to start, Lu Zhiyun came back with snacks and saw the extra person in the room. He froze, looking at the name on his friend list over and over again, before finally confirming with disbelief that it was indeed his older brother.
“Holy shit, what are you doing here, bro?”
After saying that, Lu Zhiyun looked out the window.
It was already nighttime, and the sun hadn’t come up from the westā¦
It was clear that Lu Zhiyun was a bit thrown off by the idea of playing a game with his older brother for the first time.
It wasn’t until Lu Jiuxu’s familiar, cold voice came through the speaker that he calmed down.
“Hurry up and start.”
As soon as Lu Jiuxu spoke, Lu Zhiyun quickly clicked to start the match without saying a word.
However, even though Lu Zhiyun started the game quickly, the matchmaking was slow.
Su Xingyao didn’t have a rank on his new account.
Lu Jiuxu also clearly hadn’t played in a while, and his rank was quite low.
Among the three of them, only Lu Zhiyun was at King level with 20 stars.
With such a large difference in their ranks, it took over 30 seconds to match them together.
When it came to selecting positions, Su Xingyao, being new, asked Lu Jiuxu first.
“Mr. Lu, what role do you usually play?”
Lu Jiuxu didn’t choose a hero and just told Su Xingyao to pick first.
“I’m fine with anything. You pick first, I’ll fill the role.”
Hearing this, Lu Zhiyun took the opportunity to praise his older brother.
“My brother doesn’t play games much, but he’s really talented. He’s pretty awesome, he can carry anyone.”
Lu Zhiyun actually wanted to add that Su Xingyao didn’t need to worry about him, but under the influence of his brother’s power, he didn’t dare say it out loud.
Instead, Su Xingyao immediately gave a compliment, “So amazing!”
After saying that, he confidently selected the marksman hero, Sun Shangxiang.
As Su Xingyao made his selection, the other two teammates chose a side lane and a mage.
Once Su Xingyao filled the marksman role, Lu Zhiyun locked in the support hero, Liu Shan.
With the positions almost all assigned, the only role left for Lu Jiuxu was the jungler.
Lu Jiuxu didn’t say anything. He scanned through the jungler heroes, then selected Liu Bai.
Su Xingyao didn’t really pay attention to which hero Lu Jiuxu picked, he was busy looking at the skin interface for his own hero.
He had heard that after reaching V10 in King of Glory, teammates could share their skins.
But this was the first time he encountered this feature, so he curiously checked each of them out.
In the end, he selected his favorite skin for Sun Shangxiang, the “Academy Style” skin.
As soon as he confirmed his choice, a message appeared next to his name.
“Thanks for the skin, big boss~”
The moment his message flashed, a similar message appeared next to Lu Jiuxu’s name.
“Thanks for sharing, 666”
Su Xingyao turned to look at Lu Jiuxu.
“Are you also using the skin shared by Zhiyun?”
“Yeah, I didn’t buy it.”
As soon as Lu Jiuxu finished speaking, the game’s countdown finished and the loading screen appeared.
Su Xingyao lowered his head, realizing what Lu Jiuxu meant by “I didn’t buy it.”
Just like him, Lu Jiuxu hadn’t spent a single cent on the game.
At this moment, their accounts appeared side by side, looking incredibly simple and plain.
In contrast, Lu Zhiyun, who was at the front, had a shiny, glowing account, with V10 fully unlocked.
“Whoa, Xingyao, you and my brother both picked a couple skins?”
Lu Zhiyun, who had been quiet up until now, suddenly spoke after seeing the login screen, then whistled.
Su Xingyao, who usually didn’t pay much attention to skins, looked over and realized that the skins he and Lu Jiuxu had selected were indeed identical.
They had chosen one male and one female hero, standing side by side, with their eyes full of affection, like a little couple gazing at each other.
After checking the skins, Su Xingyao curiously looked at their names.
He realized that both Liu Bai and Sun Shangxiang’s skins were called Lovers of Time.
It really was a couple skin…
Lu Zhiyun chuckled, quickly taking a screenshot of the login screen and sharing it with Su Xingyao and Lu Jiuxu.
After switching back to the game, he asked Lu Jiuxu, “Bro, why aren’t you using the new skin? It even has a rap, it’s so cool.”
Lu Jiuxu, controlling his character and heading to the jungle, replied after a pause, “Just picked whatever.”
Although Su Xingyao hadn’t played King of Glory in a while, he quickly got back into the groove.
Lu Zhiyun, acting as support, kept helping him in battles, and Lu Jiuxu often came over to assist as well.
This made his development smooth, and he had an extremely pleasant gaming experience.
With their coordination, the three of them quickly pushed to the enemy’s high ground.
After another coordinated attack with Lu Jiuxu, where Lu Jiuxu’s Liu Bai had reduced the enemy marksman’s HP to near zero, and Su Xingyao followed up with a shot to take the kill, the enemy marksman couldn’t help but type.
ćAllć Yu Ji: You little couple are bullying me QAQ
Su Xingyao, who was busy clearing the red buff, felt a bit confused.
Was she talking about him and Lu Jiuxu?
However, since in the game, Sun Shangxiang and Liu Bei were indeed a couple, and players often joked about things like this, Su Xingyao didn’t feel the need to explain.
Forty seconds later, after respawning, Yu Ji was once again badly beaten.
Lu Zhiyun’s Liu Chan controlled her, Lu Jiuxu’s Liu Bei dealt the damage, and Su Xingyao’s Sun Shangxiang finished her off again…
As expected, the enemy marksman typed once more.
ćAllć Yu Ji: You three really are too much, boohoohoo
ćAllć Yu Ji: Bullying a lonely person
Seeing Yu Ji’s cute yet sad messages, Su Xingyao couldn’t help but laugh.
He asked Lu Jiuxu, “Did we go a little too far with her just now?”
After all, they had just killed her again as soon as she respawned.
Seeing that Su Xingyao was focused on this, Lu Jiuxu looked at him and smiled, “Yeah, a bit.”
Lu Zhiyun didn’t join their conversation but directly typed in the game to chat with Yu Ji.
However, what he typed was:
ćAllć Liu Shan: Mom and Dad are carrying me (^ā½^) lalalalala
The two who were forced to be parents: …
With their overwhelming advantage, Su Xingyao’s team quickly finished the game.
After playing a few more rounds and winning continuously, the time quickly reached 10 o’clock.
After quitting the game, Su Xingyao immediately got up to stretch his body.
Once he finished stretching, he was ready to take a shower and go to bed.
However, just as he was heading toward the stairs, he saw something unexpected.
Sunset was standing on the skateboard that he had used earlier, with its left foot rhythmically swinging back and forth. It was gliding forward in a relaxed and leisurely mannerā¦
It glided very steadily, as if it had ten years of practice experience.
Su Xingyao stood frozen in place for a long while, watching. He then noticed that not only could Sunset glide with its left foot, but it could also switch to the right foot and glide just as smoothlyā¦
Watching Sunset move with such skill and confidence, Su Xingyao suddenly felt embarrassed.
He realized that he wasn’t even as good as Sunset, the dogā¦
After watching the little dog gracefully glide around, Su Xingyao pulled out his phone and recorded a video.
When Sunset finished skating and went to rest, Su Xingyao returned to his bedroom, shared the video with Lu Jiuxu and Lu Zhiyun before taking a shower.
After his shower, he found that both of them had replied.
Lu Zhiyun had written a long message of about eight hundred words, expressing his surprise and showering Sunset with compliments, calling it smart and excellent.
Lu Jiuxu, however, simply asked, “Are you asleep?”
Su Xingyao saw that the message was sent five minutes ago, so he quickly replied, “Not yet.”
As soon as the message was sent, Lu Jiuxu replied immediately.
“I’m outside your door.”
“I need to talk to you about something.”
Su Xingyao immediately jumped off the bed, quickly ran to the door, and opened it for Lu Jiuxu.
It was hard to perceive the tone and emotion of someone’s speech through a text message.
So, thinking that something urgent had happened, Su Xingyao was very surprised when he saw what Lu Jiuxu was holding.
Lu Jiuxu was holding a small nightlight, and the acrylic photo on it had a picture of Su Xingyao wearing a coral headband, taken together with Sunset and Coral.
Lu Jiuxu handed the specially made nightlight to Su Xingyao, saying little, simply adding, “I forgot to give this to you earlier when we were playing the game.”
With his eyes lowered, Su Xingyao couldn’t see his expression clearly.
But as Su Xingyao took the nightlight, he heard Lu Jiuxu quietly say, “Good night.”
Su Xingyao placed the nightlight on his bedside table and turned it on.
The warm light, along with the photo of Sunset and Coral, completely dispelled the darkness.
That night, Su Xingyao’s dream was the brightest it had ever been.
The next day, the second episode of The Voice of Heaven was aired as scheduled.
After being teased by the program team for an entire week with “one sentence,” the audience immediately opened the video the moment it was released.
The viewers were experiencedāthey had been through countless instances of fake-outs and knew that the devious program team would never follow the order from the previous episode and put the “one-sentence” singer first.
So, as soon as they opened the video, the audience went into a frenzy and started skipping ahead.
After several rounds of testing, the more experienced viewers quickly found the exact timestamp for Su Xingyao’s performance.
ćFound it, family!! 1:33:26ć
ć1:33:26, no need to thank me, I’m Lei Fengć
ć1:33:26, hurry and skip aheadć
ć1:33:26, got it?ć
ćThe program team’s strategy is so tricky, placing it in the middle like this makes it hard to findć
Upon seeing the helpful timestamp from others, the viewers who came in later quickly followed the instructions and jumped to that part of the video.
Excitedly, everyone fast-forwarded to that time, and the first thing they heard was the prelude to “Goodbye Yesterday,” which had been played in the previous week’s episode.
Although this part was short, the audience was already very familiar with it.
Realizing they were finally about to hear the full version today, many viewers were so excited they could hardly catch their breath.
The camera zoomed in on a number plate.
At this point, the audience realized that the singer’s number was 78.
After a few seconds on the number plate, the camera cut to the stage, where the lighting was beautifully atmospheric, just as the song’s prelude ended.
At the same time, the audience finally heard that gentle, captivating voice.
The viewers, who had been excitedly posting comments earlier, suddenly fell silent.
They stopped all their movements and focused intently on listening to the performance of 78.
From start to finish, the performance of this high-difficulty song was at an exceptionally high level.
The voice delivering the song was even more melodious than they had expected.
The presentation of the song was also unexpectedly brilliant.
Moving songs always strike a chord with people, allowing listeners to forget many things for a while.
So, immersed in the song, the audience didn’t react until the performance ended.
ćAhhhhhhhh, divine singer!!ć
ćSo beautiful, so beautiful, so beautiful!ć
ćThis is the best “Goodbye Yesterday” I’ve ever heard, no one can compareć
ćThis stage is legendaryć
ćAttention, this is not a drill, this is celestial musicć
ćCelestrial music sharpens the senses, I feel like I’ve ascendedć
ćDamn, I was so focused on listening to the song that I didn’t realize the program team only showed us the lights and the reactions of the contestants the whole time??ć
When someone pointed this out, the audience gradually realized what had happened.
ćHoly crap, I didn’t even notice! Where are the contestants? 78’s been singing the whole song and there hasn’t even been a close-up??ć
ćWhat about the spotlight?? What are the mentors doing? How could they not give the spotlight after such a great performance?ć
By the time the audience realized this, the song had already reached its final part, where only the last instrumental was playing.
It seemed the program team had already anticipated this reaction from the audience, as they had also prepared a close-up of the ten-second countdown.
As the countdown proceeded, the video simultaneously showed the contestants on stage looking nervous and bewildered.
The audience had already expected 78 to make it to the next round, but seeing how nervous the contestants were made their hearts race.
However, just at this most crucial moment, the program’s editing team sneakily slowed down the last ten seconds in slow motion.
The screen suddenly cut, and while the countdown was still ongoing, the camera showed the lowest point of the rising stage.
The audience held their breath.
ćI just want to punch the editing team right nowć
ćWhy, even though I know they’re definitely going to get the spotlight, am I still too nervous to even breathe properly?ć
ćThis is so torturous!! But I can’t skip a second, I’m afraid of missing it…ć
ćAfraid of missing it +1ć
No one wanted to miss this critical moment, so they obediently followed the program’s lead.
The countdown continued, and when it reached 2, the spotlight still hadn’t appeared.
At that moment, the audience began to panic.
But just when their hearts were in their throats, the program team unexpectedly switched the camera to show the three mentors giving Su Xingyao the spotlight in the last second.
The audience’s hearts pounded rhythmically with the three thump thump thump sounds of the spotlight being given.
After such a tense and thrilling segment, the audience thought that was the climax.
But they didn’t expect that the next moment, 78 would surprise them even more.
When the audience realized that the cute cat-shaped head rising slowly on stage was the same “one-sentence singer” who had just delivered such an amazing performanceāthe person they had been thinking about all weekāthe comments went wild.
ć!!!!!!ć
ćHoly crap…ć
ćHoly crap…ć
ćIt’s… it’s a cat head…ć
ćThis is definitely not what I was expectingć
ćAll I can say is, this is really impressive!ć
ćI almost thought I was seeing things, but nope, it’s real!!ć
The huge contrast left the comments section silent for a few seconds, and then it was flooded with ahhhh.
ćWho would have thought such a beautiful song was sung by a cat?!ć
ćAhhhhhh, this cat headpiece is just too cute!ć
ćWait!!! Why does this cat headpiece look so familiar?ć
ćIsn’t this the one from the interaction with the frog mom?ć
ćHoly crap, it really does look like itā¦ć
ćI remember when the program’s Weibo was asked to reveal information about this singer, didn’t they post this picture?ć
After making this discovery, many people quickly took screenshots to compare with the viral video from earlier.
It was only when they compared that they realizedāwhether it was the time spent interacting with Frog Mom, the details of the costume, or even the location at the timeāit all matched up perfectly with this “cat singer” from The Voice of Heaven.
After this revelation, the tone of the comments completely changed.
ćSo it’s the cat from the “The Voice of Heaven” recording who met Frog Mom afterward, haha!ć
ćThe program team really did drop hints about the singer, but no one noticed!ć
ćThey just posted a cat emoji, who would take that seriously?ć
ćI couldn’t resist watching the video of the cat and Frog Mom again. It’s just too cute, so cute!ć
ćWho would have thought that such a cute headpiece would be hiding such an amazing singer underneath?!ć
ćThe cuter the headpiece, the fiercer the singing (ā½)ć
ćAhhh, who understands? My dream cat (headpiece) and my dream voice are actually the same person!!ć
ćWuwuwu, even though it’s a shame I didn’t see the real person, this cat headpiece has really won me over.ć
ćBut honestly, I still really want to know what kind of interesting soul (or appearance) is hiding under the headpiece.ć
Once the second episode of The Voice of Heaven aired, the “cat head” singer became the center of attention once again.
Whether it was him singing in the headpiece, using a voice changer, the sharp contrast between his voice and appearance, or the earlier video with Frog Mom…
Each of these things alone sparked countless discussions.
And now, all of them were happening in one person!!
Of course, aside from all this, the singer’s performance received extremely high praise from audiences all over the internet.
In an entertainment industry flooded with mediocre singing, suddenly hearing such a beautiful voice made many viewers replay the song over and over again.
There were so many people who loved this stage that the program team released a special performance video the next day, which immediately garnered over 50 million views, making it the number one trending video by a huge margin.
A music platform that partnered with the show even bought the copyright.
Once the instrumental version was released, it shot straight to the top of the new music charts overnight.
In no time, the “cat head” singer became the hottest topic among fan circles and audiences alike.
That night, Su Xingyao received an urgent WeChat message from the director, Xiao Li, who had contacted him before.
Xiao Li: Mr. Su, when you come to record the show tomorrow, remember to take the VIP entrance.
Xiao Li: Your popularity is too high right now. I’m worried that when fans arrive at the venue, they won’t be able to resist lifting your headpiece. QAQ
