Chapter 2 Revealing the Truth of the Family’s Annihilation
Seeing her suddenly stop, Fu Yanting asked in confusion, “What’s wrong, don’t you like it?”
He said he was going to get up and walk outside, “I’ll get you some more braised lion’s head!”
Chu Chenyin quickly got up and pulled on his red sleeve, “Wait a minute.”
Fu Yanting turned to look at her, his Adam’s apple bobbed, “It’s still early, no need to rush the wedding night.”
What wedding night! We’re about to die!
Chu Chenyin had fought for her life for many years, and she didn’t want to die so soon!
She couldn’t care less, she sorted out the things in her mind, and found an excuse to say, “Fu Yanting, listen to me, before I got married, I overheard my father’s conversation at the Chu Mansion. He said that the emperor will order your entire Fu family to be executed tomorrow morning!”
As soon as she finished speaking, the entire room was plunged into a deathly silence. Fu Yanting’s deep, dark eyes burned like charcoal, and the red candle flickered in the quiet new room, making it a little scary.
Chu Chenyin’s heart pounded in her chest, and she began to worry that Fu Yanting might think she was crazy or a spy.
However, after a moment of silence, Fu Yanting asked her, “Our Fu family is full of loyal ministers, you said the emperor would behead us for public display, do you have any evidence?”
Chu Chenyin quickly searched her mind, and quickly said, “The envoy from the Fan Kingdom entered the palace and brought a secret letter, which contains evidence of your treason. If you don’t believe me, you can send someone to investigate the envoy’s background.”
“You mean the envoy from the Fan Kingdom who entered the palace yesterday?” Fu Yanting asked.
Chu Chenyin nodded, “Yes, but the envoy is fake. Prime Minister Wan and the emperor conspired to frame you and have your entire Fu family executed!”
The last four words echoed in the room.
Fu Yanting’s eyes clearly dimmed, a sharp light flashed, and in the blink of an eye, he didn’t say anything more to Chu Chenyin, and turned and rushed out of the door.
The red robe fluttered in the night wind.
Chu Chenyin’s heart skipped a beat, she looked at Fu Yanting’s back in disbelief, she thought he would ask a few more questions, but he actually believed her just like that?!
General Fu is really not an ordinary person!
After Fu Yanting left the new room, the laughter and joy in the mansion seemed to stop abruptly at some point.
The mansion, adorned with red lanterns, became unusually quiet.
Chu Chenyin sat restlessly in the new room, which was draped in red silk. She looked around and discovered that the Fu family was indeed wealthy. The small new room was filled with jadeware and precious calligraphy and paintings.
This was not surprising, however. The Marquis Fu’s wife was the legitimate daughter of the wealthy merchant family, the Qu family, and the dowry she brought to the Fu Mansion was enough to rival a nation’s wealth.
She picked up a jade rabbit carved from emerald, and couldn’t help but sigh, “If only I had a space now, I could store all these things in it before the natural disaster.”
Just as she was thinking this, she looked up and found that the scene before her suddenly changed.
The antique house, after a blur, transformed into a modern room with simple decor.
A large latex bed, a five-meter sofa, and a seventy-inch television.
Chu Chenyin was startled. This was her own home! She had actually returned home.
Her house was a three-story self-built house. The first floor was her small supermarket, the second floor was where she lived, with a bedroom, a living room, a warehouse for storing supermarket goods, and a secret room for storing medical supplies. The third floor was all empty rooms.
Chu Chenyin was overjoyed, thinking she had crossed back, and quickly ran to the first floor.
The small supermarket on the first floor was filled with all sorts of snacks, sundries, and some household appliances and electrical goods, covering an area of over three hundred square meters.
She walked along the cash register to the front door and found that the windows and doors were closed, and the outside was empty.
So, this is the space that is often written about in novels?!
Chu Chenyin was stunned. She could understand the concept of space, but she never imagined that her space would be her own home?!
Overwhelmed with shock, she ran up to the second-floor warehouse and found that the goods she had brought in recently were still there, over a hundred boxes full of rice, oil, salt, and other necessities.
She breathed a sigh of relief. If there really was a natural disaster, this entire supermarket should be enough to eat for a while.
Then she went to the third floor. The third floor was very spacious and could store a lot of things.
But to store all the things from the Fu family, it might not be enough.
Just as she was about to leave, she turned a corner and discovered that there was another staircase leading up from the third floor. She knew that her house didn’t have a fourth floor!
