Chapter 2: Jade Pendant Space Opening

Su An finished her noodles, feeling very satisfied.

After filling her stomach, she planned to rest and practice her supernatural powers.

Her supernatural abilities improved with her physical condition, but they were still at the most basic level.

Fortunately, even the basic level was enough to deal with the Su family.

Instead of going to her own room, Su An went to Su Yue’s. Her room was more like a storage room, cramped and windowless, while Su Yue’s room was much more comfortable. 

Su An lay on Su Yue’s bed and began to practice. The energy of her powers flowed through her body, making her feel relaxed.

After some time, the door to the Su family house opened again. Su Yue returned and saw Su An in her room, lying on her bed. She immediately exploded.

Su An, you bitch, you dare to sleep in my bed!

She moved to pull Su An off the bed, but Su An pushed her away.

I’m living here from now on. You can sleep in the utility room.

Su Yue fell to the ground and started to curse, Su An, you bitch, are you crazy? Why should I sleep in the utility room?

Su An’s cold eyes fell on Su Yue. Why? Why do you say? You don’t have a job, you eat and drink for free, and you don’t contribute to the family.

Shouldn’t you sleep in the utility room? I’m different from you. I have a job and I earn a salary for our family.

Su Yue’s face flushed. This is the room my parents let me sleep in. It’s mine. How dare you have a problem with my parents?

The sarcasm at the corner of Su An’s mouth grew more intense. Su Yue, if you dare to talk again, don’t blame me for beating you.

Su Yue didn’t believe Su An would actually hit her and continued to mutter, Su An, you are really outrageous, you little bastard…

Pa~

Su An slapped Su Yue before she could finish her sentence.  She continued to slap her on the other cheek, back and forth, until Su Yue’s mouth was swollen.

Su Qiang, who was outside the door, trembled. He was glad he hadn’t intervened, fearing he would also be beaten.

He couldn’t understand what had gotten into Su An.

As Su An was about to throw Su Yue out of the door, she saw the jade pendant hanging around Su Yue’s neck.

This pendant originally belonged to Su An, but when Su Yue said she liked it as a child, Su An’s parents had given it to her.

Later, Su Yue was claimed by the Shen family, a powerful family in Beijing, because of this pendant.

Su An reached out and pulled the pendant off Su Yue’s neck. Su Yue, seeing her pendant stolen, tried to grab it back.

Su An, how could you snatch my things…

Pa!

Su An slapped her again.

Yours? Do you still have the face to say that? This is what you stole from me. I’m just taking it back. Get out of here quickly, or I’ll keep beating you.

Su Yue, remembering the beating she had just received, shuddered with fear and hurried out of the room.

Su Yue and Su Qiang both felt that Su An had gone mad. They couldn’t fight back, so they decided to wait for their parents to return and teach her a lesson.

Meanwhile, Su An noticed a scratch on the back of her hand from when she had grabbed the pendant. She wiped the wound with a handkerchief, accidentally staining the jade pendant with blood.

Suddenly, the cold pendant became hot. Su An thought it was an illusion, but then she saw a bright light emanating from it. 

The next second, she was transported to a different space.

Su An had read many novels in her past life and knew that there must be a secret hidden within the pendant.

Her blood had touched the pendant, opening this space.

She found herself in a white space with a ten-acre plot of black land below. In the center stood an antique attic.

Su An walked towards the attic and saw a spring in the yard. Could this be a spiritual spring, like in the novels? She scooped up some water and drank it. The water was refreshing, and she felt her energy rapidly recovering.

This confirmed that the spring water had the effects described in the novels.

Su An entered the attic and found it was filled with antique furniture, medical books, and piles of pills. Each box of pills had labels describing their effects in traditional Chinese characters.

Su An realized she had stumbled upon a treasure trove. This space was a gift from fate.

Just as Su An emerged from the space, she heard the angry voices of Su Guohua and Chen Aimei outside the door.

They must have returned from work and heard Su Yue and Su Qiang’s complaints.

Su An decided to confront them all together.

Hearing the sound of Su Guohua banging on the door, Su An opened it and stepped out.

Are you looking for death? You don’t let people have a good rest.

Su An, usually a quiet person, was now acting strangely. Su Guohua was stunned for a moment.

He quickly recovered and started to scold her. Su An, you little bastard, how dare you lay hands on your brother and sister.

Su An sneered. I am a little bastard, so are you and Chen Aimei old bastards? Only old bastards can give birth to little bastards!

Su Guohua and Chen Aimei had called her a bastard before, but Su An never questioned it. Now she realized that everything had been a sign.

Normal parents wouldn’t call their children bastards. Only those who weren’t their biological children would do so.

Su Guohua and Chen Aimei’s faces turned green.

Chen Aimei said to Su Guohua, Why are you still nagging with this little bastard? Beat him to death.

Su Guohua lunged at Su An, but missed. Su An kicked him in the groin.

Su Guohua lay on the ground, screaming in pain.

Chen Aimei, enraged, stepped forward and tried to scratch Su An’s face.
