The room fell into stunned silence.
Caught off guard, Ye Luoyi’s hand slipped while smoothing butter with her knife, leaving a small nick on her fingertip.
The grandfather clock in the corner chimed, marking eight o’clock sharp, as Zhou Qingyu and Yan Xi entered the living room, dressed and ready for the day.
They caught the tail end of Director Yu’s comment. Zhou Qingyu, unfazed, casually added, “I wasn’t sure what Yan Xi would like to eat, so I asked the chef to prepare a bit more. The rest for you were just incidental.”
In truth, it wasn’t incidental at all. Zhou Qingyu’s personality dictated that she rarely cared about others as long as Yan Xi was satisfied. It was Yan Xi, having eaten her fill, who noticed Louis and the chef nearby and suggested they prepare breakfast for the other guests as well.
In the original novel, Zhou Qingyu became a foil to Ye Luoyi after joining the show, leading to her being universally hated online. While Yan Xi hadn’t yet devised a plan to reverse this narrative, salvaging even a fragment of her friend’s reputation was a small step forward.
The comment section exploded with mixed reactions.

As Zhou Qingyu nonchalantly found her seat, she noticed the shift in the atmosphere, her lips curling slightly. Meanwhile, Yan Xi quietly sipped her juice, watching the scene unfold with a faint smile. The seeds of public opinion were beginning to sprout—just as she’d hoped.
Ye Luoyi and Su Lingling couldn’t see the livestream comments, but when they learned that the breakfast was prepared by Zhou Qingyu and noticed the subtle smile in Louis’s eyes, both felt extremely awkward. Their expressions turned uneasy.
Su Lingling, clearly displeased, tossed her coffee aside and crossed her arms. “Too bitter, I’m not drinking it.”
Ye Luoyi forced a couple of polite chuckles and put down her toast. “I’ve gained weight recently anyway, better to eat less.”
The others, however, remained unfazed. Since they hadn’t made any complaints earlier when Zhou Qingyu wasn’t in the room, they continued eating without any guilt.
Especially Kang Boye, who happily asked for a second serving after finishing his first. “Even the ‘bonus’ food is great! As long as there’s food, I’m happy!”
With everyone now present, Director Yu took the opportunity to have the guests do a brief live-read for the show’s sponsors and gave a rundown of the program’s itinerary.
“Let’s Go Travel” is a live-stream variety show that runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. If any guests are still out exploring after hours, the livestream continues.
The show features four follow-cam perspectives, one for each pair of guests. Each group designs their own travel itinerary, and viewers can choose to watch the journey that interests them the most.
Next up was the segment where the guests introduced their travel plans.
Qin Li and Kang Boye were the first to present their itinerary.
Qin Li smiled and said, “It’s my cousin and my first time visiting Li City, so our itinerary is pretty mainstream. We’ll be visiting all the famous landmarks and attractions Li City is known for. Here’s our plan!”
He then displayed their itinerary. Upon seeing it, the viewers couldn’t help but comment:
“Wow, this is literally just copied straight from a travel agency’s brochure!”
“To be honest, when I visited Li City, I followed a similar route.”
“This is actually a pretty beginner-friendly itinerary for those who’ve never been to Li City before!”
“The schedule seems packed—won’t it be exhausting?”
“Don’t worry! Qin Li and Kang Boye are young and energetic—they’ve got this!”
Next up were Jiang Tao and Xiao Yu.
Facing the camera, Jiang Tao cleared his throat and said, “Our next project requires us to scout locations in Li City. So while it’s technically a vacation, we’re also here for work. As such, we won’t be sharing a fixed travel plan. Instead, everyone can join us in real time through the livestream as we scout locations.”
“One more thing,” Xiao Yu added, looking at the camera. “This project is still in the preparation stage, so if any investors are interested, feel free to join in!”
“Haha, Director Jiang and Screenwriter Xiao are treating this like a work trip!”
“But scouting locations live? That sounds so fun!”
“I wonder what location scouting for a movie looks like? They’ll probably visit places regular tourists can’t access—so excited to see it!”
The third group to present was Ye Luoyi and Su Lingling.
With a cheerful smile, Ye Luoyi introduced, “Lingling and I have visited Li City before, so we’ve already checked out all the iconic spots. This time, our travel plan is to explore Li City’s hidden gems! We want to show everyone a side of Li City they’ve never seen before.”
Su Lingling added, “Many of the places we’ve chosen are known only to locals. They’re newer, unique, and budget-friendly—perfect for anyone who wants to explore! Feel free to check them out!”
“Wow! After hearing Yi Yi’s introduction, I’m so excited!”
“Since Li City is a tourist destination, most people already know about the popular spots, even if they haven’t seen them in person. But this new approach from Yi Yi is really innovative! We’ll get to see a whole different side of Li City!”
“I’ve been to Li City too. I only visited the famous spots, but Yi Yi’s plan clearly promises to show us something unique. I can’t wait!”
“When does it start? I can’t wait any longer!”
Ye Luoyi’s travel plan received an overwhelmingly positive response. In the novel, she was always the most popular member of the group. As a top-tier celebrity, her fanbase was already huge, and she had clearly put a lot of thought into this travel plan.
