Chapter 114: Red Romance
Lin Mu listened to He Ze’s words and couldn’t help but want to laugh, biting his lip to hold it in with difficulty.
The one being mocked gave a warning by giving his butt a pinch. Then, with a raise of his right hand, he grabbed Lin Mu’s left leg and instantly lifted it, hooking it around his own waist.
A posture that was both a warning and full of pent-up tension.
Lin Mu was instantly stunned, his breath hitching as his fair fingers clenched tightly.
Next door, He Ze finished relieving himself, washed his hands, and was dragged away by Shen Rangchen.
“Lin Xiao Mu, want to give it a try? How about it?”
His hoarse voice came from the nape of his neck.
“…” Lin Mu clung to his shoulders, not daring to let himself slip even a little, his mind a complete mess.
“Wha… what do you mean by ‘how about it’?”
“Heh,” Fu Jingmo helplessly buried his face in the crook of Lin Mu’s shoulder, chuckling softly. “Whether your big brother’s kidneys are good or not.”
“Put me… down.”
Lin Mu’s voice was completely trembling; the way things had unfolded had gone far beyond what his brain could process.
Not wanting to make things harder for him, Fu Jingmo gently lowered him down.
The moment his feet touched the ground, they gave out slightly in a useless display. If not for the arm tightly supporting his waist, he probably would have face-planted on the spot.
Fu Jingmo leaned in close, carefully examining Lin Mu’s face, from his cool and elegant brows and eyes to his straight nose, and finally to his lips, which were now reddened from the recent kiss.
His fingers traced downward, brushing over those lips with an exquisite texture.
“From now on, you’re not allowed to drink with others anymore.”
“Why?” Lin Mu frowned, the faint pink at the corners of his eyes carrying a hint of stubbornness as he retorted defiantly.
“You’ve been stamped. You’re mine now, so you have to listen to me.”
“I told you, I’m two years older than you.”
“I don’t care.”
“…”
“Lin Xiao Mu, do you agree?”
“Got it.”
He turned his face away, pretending to be impatient, avoiding the scorching breath. Fu Jingmo, however, clasped the back of his neck and pulled him closer.
A few rubs and kisses later, his entire neck was left aching from the rough treatment.
Lin Mu was both embarrassed and flustered, reaching the end of his patience. “Have you had enough yet…?”
“Not even close,” Fu Jingmo murmured hoarsely by his ear. “I’ve been holding back a lot.”
As he spoke, Fu Jingmo tightened his grip on Lin Mu’s hand.
After a long pause, Lin Mu blinked and sighed in defeat. “Fu Jingmo, do you even know what you’re doing?”
“I do.”
“You like men?”
“I like you.”
“…”
Lin Mu’s eyes were misty, carrying a hint of confusion. “But I have many things I haven’t told you. Maybe… you’ll regret it.”
If Fu Jingmo knew about Xiao Yuan, if one day he had to hand himself over, then what?
“Fu Jingmo, you might be making a mistake.”
“Maybe? Possibly? If?” Fu Jingmo repeated his words, letting out a scoff. “Lin Mu, do you think I can’t take responsibility for my own decisions?”
His voice was as firm and serious as ever. “Don’t you trust me?”
Lin Mu slowly shook his head. Trust? Of course, he trusted him. It was precisely because of that trust that he didn’t want him to face a difficult choice someday.
Maybe he should tell him everything and let him choose again.
A hint of moisture blurred his eyes as Lin Mu looked up at him. “I have something to tell you.”
Fu Jingmo felt a pang of pain in his heart. He reached out and gently smoothed the hair he had messed up.
“Alright.”
The restroom was obviously not the place for a conversation, so the two silently left the lively banquet.
The car drove out of Wunan Tower, following the riverside road ahead.
Night had fallen deeply, and the cold moon hung high in the sky.
Lin Mu rolled down the car window, staring unblinkingly at the zombies across the river.
The cold wind brushed against his face, dissipating the effects of the alcohol. The heat on his face gradually faded, and he slowly regained his composure.
The car stopped in front of a building. Lin Mu, lost in thought, only realized what was happening when Fu Jingmo pulled him toward a storefront.
He hadn’t noticed the bold characters outside the store: “Red Romance.”
Inside, on the first floor, in a cramped room lit by a dim, yellow lamp, a woman sat at the front desk, engrossed in a comic book.
Fu Jingmo pulled a handful of colorful points cards out of his pocket and tossed them onto the desk.
“One room, hurry up.”
The woman hastily gathered the points cards with excitement, then quickly selected a key from a large bunch and handed it over.
Her gaze darted back and forth between Fu Jingmo and Lin Mu. “Wow, so handsome.”
Then, she cleared her throat and added suggestively, “Second floor, the room on the far left. Enjoy yourselves, you two.”
