Chapter 142: Absolutely Don’t Agree to Him
“She’s so clueless!”
Thinking about it, she still felt that Tang Haofei was better. He had many women, but he was generous to all of them.
Tang Haofei hadn’t visited her in a long time. She had already spent all the money he gave her. If she didn’t find a way to snatch him back from other women, how would she survive?
“Fly, you’re so mean, you haven’t come to see me for so long, and I have to come all the way here to find you.” She complained softly, her eyes full of charm, half-truth, half-jealousy: “Did you find some new sisters and forget about me? I have to see who’s so capable!”
Her words came out like firecrackers, nonstop. After she finished, she looked around. When she saw Qiu Yingwen, she was stunned, secretly gritting her teeth, thinking that Tang Haofei was right, he had found someone new!
The moment she clung to him, Tang Haofei hadn’t reacted yet. His body stiffened, and he subconsciously looked at Qiu Yingwen’s face.
She was indifferent, calculating, and still didn’t look at him.
Hearing the woman’s affected words in his ears, Tang Haofei felt a surge of annoyance and gloominess in his heart, but he was even more flustered and embarrassed in front of Qiu Yingwen.
He quickly shook off the hand clinging to his, and explained to her: “Wenwen, I have nothing to do with this woman! Believe me!”
Tang Haofei looked at her nervously, wishing he could strangle this woman who was causing him trouble.
The woman was stunned when he ruthlessly threw her away and then saw him being so servile to Qiu Yingwen. She had never seen him treat a woman like this before.
Tang Haofei, no matter how interested he was in a woman, would never act like this. In his eyes, these women were just toys for him to play with, without any seriousness.
Seeing his attitude towards Qiu Yingwen, she couldn’t help but feel a surge of jealousy and resentment.
“Fly!”
“Get the hell out of here!” Tang Haofei’s face was gloomy, and he roared angrily.
Their noise was so loud that even the customers outside who wanted to come in and buy cakes hesitated. Qiu Yingwen finally raised her eyes.
“Can you two go outside and argue?” Her tone was impatient.
She wasn’t interested in watching him entangled with other women. It was already affecting her business.
“I hope you won’t come here again. You’re really annoying.”
“I’m not interested in your affairs either. What kind of person you are is none of my business.”
“From now on, let’s not bother each other! And don’t get close to Rongrong again! I really hate it when she imitates you!”
Every word she coldly said to him made his face whiter, but his eyes turned a crimson red.
He seemed to dare not look at her, nor did he want to hear her say anything more hurtful. He didn’t know how he left.
Qiu Yingwen didn’t care. She continued to do business. Without him there, her mood improved a lot.
The little girl Qiu Yarong had gone out to play again, probably with Jiang Xiaochao or Xiaoya. She had kept her at home for a while, but she had finally let her go out to play these past two days. She was almost suffocated, and she kept whining to her that she hadn’t seen Xiaoya in a long time, and that she had played in the mud and with the puppy with Jiang Xiaochao.
Her hair had grown long recently, and she finally looked like a little girl. Qiu Yingwen naturally hoped to have a sweet and gentle daughter. She told her to learn from Xiaoya, but the little girl retorted, saying why she had to learn from others, that she was just a baby like this.
It was both infuriating and funny.
Thinking of Qiu Yarong, Qiu Yingwen’s expression improved.
She put the dried bamboo shoots made by Hu Yao on the counter and was about to organize other things.
Before she could move, the woman who had been entangled with Tang Haofei came back.
Her expression was strange and unpleasant as she walked up to Qiu Yingwen. Now that she was alone with her, she completely lost the affected manner she had in front of Tang Haofei.
“Listen, don’t think too highly of yourself! I’ve already found out. You’re just a widow with a child! Stay away from Fly! He’s mine! I’m the one who will marry into the Tang family and become their wife!”
Qiu Yingwen was puzzled and speechless.
“Yeah, he’s yours.” She responded perfunctorily.
Seeing Qiu Yingwen’s attitude, the woman was inexplicably angry again. What she cared so much about, Qiu Yingwen didn’t even want it! Did she really think she was some 17 or 18-year-old virgin with capital?
How could Tang Haofei be attracted to her! She better be truly indifferent, not pretending to be virtuous and fishing for him!
“I have to get back to work, do you have anything else?” Qiu Yingwen asked patiently.
It was really strange that someone would be so obsessed with Tang Haofei.
Seeing Qiu Yingwen’s kind demeanor, the woman couldn’t say what she had planned to say.
“You, you… I’ll tell you the truth!” The woman gritted her teeth, fearing that Qiu Yingwen might still have other thoughts about Tang Haofei, and told her the truth: “Fly is… you know… He has so many women, but he’s just trying to save face, to cover up this problem of his! If you really marry him, you’ll suffer! We other sisters have talked about it privately! I’m doing this for your own good! You absolutely can’t agree to him!”
She looked as if she would rather suffer the consequences herself.
“…Thank you.” Qiu Yingwen didn’t know what to say.
…
“Dry Mom has a baby, will you still play with me?”
At the Jiang family, Jiang Xiaochao hugged a puppy and ran to Du Ximei, asking softly.
Du Ximei and Song Sikai were having dinner at their house today. Song Sikai was afraid that he would bump into Du Ximei as he ran around, so he wouldn’t let him get close. He hugged the puppy and was sulking for a long time.
Only when Du Ximei kicked him away did he run over and ask in a muffled voice.
“Of course! You’ll have little brothers and sisters to play with.” Du Ximei happily pinched his soft cheeks.
“But Uncle Sikai said I’m a troublemaker and won’t let me play with you.” Jiang Xiaochao pouted.
“Tell him to get lost!” Du Ximei snorted, indicating that she was the head of the household and Song Sikai had to listen to her.
They were whispering something by the swing, and Hu Yao, smiling, walked over and handed them the washed grapes to eat together.
Today, Jiang Han and Song Sikai were in a particularly good mood, and insisted on cooking for them personally.
Song Sikai said he was going to make their favorite sour fish soup.
They even went fishing together, bringing Jiang Xiaochao along.
Jiang Han caught a couple of loaches, saying he was going to make loach rice for Hu Yao. Only two loaches, and the rice was only for Hu Yao, not for anyone else.
Hu Yao knew his cooking skills all too well. She thought he was only trying to make a fuss because he saw Song Sikai cooking.
“Brother, isn’t your rice almost burnt?”
“Shut up! Look after your own fish, it’s going to be ruined!”
Their bickering echoed out from the kitchen.
