Transmigrating into the Villain’s Sickly Childhood Friend Chapter 42 Spending Night with Jia Bao

“Huh?” Chen Jianan’s eyes widened. “All of it? I planned to buy a motorcycle and was going to change two pieces of furniture for the house.”

Qiao Wen said with a smile: “Brother Nan, that’s not how money is spent. You have to trust me, just buy stocks with me. If you don’t believe me, you can deposit it in the bank. In short, you can’t spend it randomly.”

Chen Jianan: “Of course I trust you.”

“Then trust me, we can move into a new apartment with running water and gas in the new year.” Qiao Wen said with a laugh.

At first, Chen Jianan was unwilling, but upon hearing the latter sentence, he was excited and nodded his head vigorously: “Okay, I will buy stocks later.”

With a chuckle, Qiao Wen sat back to prepare to change clothes to report to the factory. As thought of something, he waved to Chen Jianan: “Brother Nan, come here!”

“What’s the matter?” while asking Chen Jianan walked up to him.

Qiao Wen lifted the hem of his T-shirt, looked at the scar on his left abdomen, and dabbed it with his hand with a frown.

“Hiss — — ”

“Does it still hurt?”

Chen Jianan: “It doesn’t hurt if you don’t touch it, if you touch it, it hurts a little.”

Qiao Wen put down his clothes: “You take a good rest for a few days and don’t mess around. Although it’s not vital, it’s still a gunshot wound, so don’t be sloppy.”

“It’s okay.” Chen Jianan waved nonchalantly.

“Then I’m going to the factory. You go to exchange money to buy stocks.”

“You wait for me to go upstairs to get my things, and we will go out together.”

By the time he got ready, Chen Jianan also came down from the upstairs and knocked on his door. Likewise, the two left the walled city together, and after seeing Qiao Wen off on the tram, he called a rickshaw to the bank.

Ming Yue Factory.

After being away for half a month, the Factory seemed to change a lot and looked well organized under the leadership of Lin Zihui. Indeed, he was worthy of being a man with the traits of being a dominant male. From his fledgling student to the present, Lin Zihui has improved in both ability and courage, and it’s only a matter of time to make achievements.

He didn’t know where Qiao Wen had gone in the past half month, but he was very happy with his return. He pulled him down for a chat and talked about what are all the things that happened in the half month and then took him to the new production line to see the several finished samples.

All of them were men’s business suits, and the style was not unusual, but the fabric and workmanship were excellent. He was impressed with the quality of the products and was pleased to know that the new production line was doing well.

As speaking he picked one finished suit of Chen Jianan’s size and asked Qiao Wen to bring it back to Chen Jianan to see how it looked.

Qiao Wen also felt that Chen Jianan’s figure was indeed good enough to be a model for a try-on, so he packed the suit and was eager to let him try on.

Soon the day ended, and he returned home with the suit. Still, it was early in the evening, he hung the suit on the bedside and imagined Chen Jianan wearing a suit, the more he thought about it, the more he looked forward to it. In the book, it was mentioned more than once that Chen Jianan was a well-known suit thug in the city.

As he first saw Chen Jianan, he was quite surprised, since it did not conform to the villain he imagined. As well as being unexpectedly handsome, 19-year-old Chen Jianan was generally a decent and hearty young man, so much so that, despite the effects of his own memory, he had no problem getting along with him, almost immediately treating him as the closest person in the world.

The time ticked past and Granny came home after closing the shop and prepared dinner.  After dinner, the duo chatted for a while until Granny went to bed. Qiao Wen stayed up, tidying up the bed before going to freshen and return to bed.

As he looked at the hanging suit, he felt a little dejected for Anan not coming yet, he broadly waited for him to knock on the door or climb through the window. But there was no sight of Anan coming.

It was past 9’o clock. After a little thought, he decided to go upstairs to find him.

“Knock-knock— — ”

The door was opened by Haozi and inside the small house was quite lively. Except for Chen Jianan, four of the five members of the two families were there, including Chen Jianan’s father who had been on a fishing boat all year round.

Father Chen sitting in the hall greeted Qiao Wen with a smile: “Awen!”

“Uncle Chen, when did you come back?”

Father Chen.“I only came this afternoon. Anan is not at home. Why don’t you come and wait for him?”

“No, it’s ok, I just come up to see if Brother Nan is back.” Qiao Wen said.

“Okay, then you rest early, when Anan comes back, I will tell him that you came to look for him.”

“Well, you too rest early.”

As Qiao Wen turned around he pulled Haozi out by the way, and asked in a low voice, “Do you know where Brother Nan has gone?”

Haozi sneakily peeked at the elders inside, stretched out his hand to close the door, and whispered: “I heard that he was called by Lord Leopard, but I don’t know what he is going to do. He hasn’t come back yet.”

Qiao Wen brows frowned and nodded in response: “Okay if he comes back, you let him come down and find me.”

“Okay Brother Awen, you go and rest early, I’ll tell my brother when he comes back.”

Bidding farewell, he returned downstairs and lay down on his bed with his eyes closed prepared to sleep, but almost half an hour passed he didn’t get a wink of sleep.

The trip to vietnam was a great achievement so the matter between Chen Jianan and Qin Yunfei’s would be wiped out, it was natural for Zhao Shanhai himself to come forward to deal with it. But he had a nagging feeling of the matter would not be simple as it seems.

He tossed and turned on the small wooden bed, worried until the old hanging clock on the wall pointed past 12 o’clock, but there was no sign of a big human-shaped bat on the outside window he was familiar with.
