Chapter 21: I Was Wrong, But I’ll Do It Again Next Time
Jiang Sheng first drove Ning Xiaoyao home.
Ning Qiutang warned her trouble-making brother: “Stay away from that Shen Xingxing, you hear me?”
Ning Xiaoyao looked unhappy: “Why? I’m not afraid of him.”
“It’s not about being afraid, I’m your sister, do what I say. If you don’t listen, I won’t care about you anymore.”
Ning Qiutang felt that her brother should cherish life after his near-death experience. Why was he acting like he owned the world?
Ning Xiaoyao grumbled a reluctant “oh,” he had no choice but to listen to his sister.
Finally, when they got back to the Ning family’s house.
Ning Qiutang said seriously: “Thank you for today. You’re actually a pretty good person.”
She said it insincerely, it wouldn’t hurt to say something nice.
Jiang Sheng played with his phone without looking up and said: “Are you going to give me an award?”
Ning Qiutang thought he probably didn’t want to be called a good person, it was an insult to his character.
How could someone so young go astray?
“If you don’t refuse, I can even hold a good deed recognition ceremony for you.”
She said seriously.
Jiang Sheng’s gaze moved from his phone to her face: “You went through all this trouble to give me a gift, you say you don’t like me, but you want to make a big scene so everyone can see us together.”
Ning Qiutang had three question marks floating above her head.
She looked at him, wanting to say something.
She realized she had reached her house and ran out of the car, ashamed. Her steps were filled with admiration for this young master, how could he be so narcissistic?
Jiang Sheng watched the girl run back home in a panic, as if she had seen a ghost.
Wasn’t she? Her mind was filled with nothing but herself.
“Master, it’s time to go home at this hour.” The driver said cautiously.
Jiang Sheng’s phone had been off because the Jiang family had been calling him.
“Let’s go.”
—
The next day at school.
Ning Qiutang forgot to bring Jiang Sheng breakfast. She had only brought him breakfast yesterday on a whim, who knew he would actually eat it.
Seeing the group of people waiting for her at the school gate, she just wanted to escape.
But Jiang Sheng saw her, the young man looked at her with a relaxed expression.
Ning Qiutang bought two tea eggs, two bread rolls, and a glutinous rice ball on the side of the road, which should be enough.
She walked over obediently and handed him the breakfast: “Look, it’s still warm, I was holding it in my arms so the tea eggs wouldn’t get cold.”
Jiang Sheng looked at her with a smirk, as if he was blind.
Chen Jinshi put his hands in his pockets and watched the girl look at his third brother with adoration. She must have been lying about breaking off the engagement, she was just playing hard to get.
“Why just for the third brother, what about us?”
“Yeah, why are you treating us differently, Tangtang?” The other two said in unison.
Jiang Sheng frowned and didn’t take the cheap tea eggs.
Ning Qiutang saw the disdain and disgust on the young master’s face, so she threw the tea eggs at them: “Here you go, here you go, he doesn’t want them anyway.”
Chen Jinshi was terrified, he wouldn’t dare take them.
He took two steps back and said with a nervous laugh: “Ning Qiutang, don’t be silly, I was just joking, how could I dare to compete with the third brother?”
Jiang Sheng said disdainfully: “I don’t eat it.”
Ning Qiutang looked at him with a “see, he doesn’t want it” expression.
“I already ate, they’re all yours.” She threw the things she had just bought at them.
Jiang Sheng took her schoolbag and pulled her to his side, walking into the school with her: “If you don’t get me something edible, I’ll eat you.”
Threat, coercion, intimidation!
Ning Qiutang said reluctantly: “Then what do you want to eat?”
The only option was to call the housemaid.
Jiang Sheng coldly hummed, “Whatever.”
Ning Qiutang raised her eyes and glared at him, “You’re just playing with me!”
Jiang Sheng looked down at her, her fur ruffled like a kitten. He gently caressed her cheek, pulling her closer despite her tense nerves.
“There’s a breakfast shop outside the school called ‘Whatever.'”
Ning Qiutang frowned, she had no idea there was a breakfast shop with such a casual name.
Chen Jinsi and the others followed behind, also saying, “It’s a real shop. We’ve eaten there before.”
Ning Qiutang pouted and asked, “You’re not asking me to go buy breakfast for you now, are you?”
“I don’t have time, I have to go back to study. Anyway, they have nothing better to do, you can just tell them to go.”
She refused to be a errand girl, even if he hit her she wouldn’t go.
Jiang Sheng looked at her bun-shaped face and pinched her cheek, soft like cotton candy. “Order online, you dummy.”
No wonder people call others “stupid,” because “dummy” and “idiot” are pretty close in meaning.
Combined with his increasingly excessive pinching and touching, Ning Qiutang felt like she was a clay doll in his hands, at his mercy.
“Just talk, why are you touching me?” She wanted to slap his hand away, to push this abnormal young master away.
Jiang Sheng let go of her, knowing he couldn’t push his prey too hard. “How else would I know that my little rose’s face is so soft?”
Stinking hooligan!
Ning Qiutang cursed him out in her heart, her fingers touching her own face, wiping away the area where the boy had touched.
“I’m going back to the classroom.”
She took the opportunity to escape, afraid of being caught.
Jiang Sheng put one hand in his pocket, the warmth on his fingertips lingered like a faint rose scent, making his heart split in two, half repelled and half possessive.
But he chose to hold onto everything in his palm, accustomed to watching others struggle desperately.
“Third Brother, have you written your apology letter? Your uncle is really ruthless. I found someone to write several versions, one thousand yuan for one, do you want one?”
Li Yuchen pulled out several apology letters from his schoolbag, even the handwriting was different.
Zhao Linru was not at all flustered, “If the sky falls, Third Brother will hold it up. As long as Third Brother hasn’t written it, we don’t need to go up and apologize.”
Chen Jinsi nodded in agreement, “Have you ever seen a bad student write an apology letter?”
Jiang Sheng took out an apology letter with clear and neat handwriting and said in a carefree and arrogant tone, “I have.”
The other two exclaimed, “Damn!”
“I want one.” Chen Jinsi lowered his head and transferred one thousand yuan.
Zhao Linru gritted his teeth, “I want one too.”
Li Yuchen shook his head at his good brother, “The second one will cost more, two thousand.”
Zhao Linru really wanted to punch him, “You, give, give, give.”
During the break between classes, all the students and teachers gathered.
After the morning exercises.
The headmaster severely criticized and educated them about the fighting that happened yesterday, and finally asked Jiang Sheng and the others to go on stage as representatives to apologize.
The people below were buzzing with discussion, the Jiang Prince actually agreed to apologize.
But everyone was excited when they saw Jiang Sheng, who rarely appeared, actually show up. He was so handsome!
Chen Jinsi was the first to apologize, it was a complete joke.
The other two just stood there like soldiers.
Until Jiang Sheng stood on the stage with the apology letter in his hand, the young boy in a white shirt and blue school uniform, full of youthful vigor and spirit, handsome enough to make people scream.
He held the microphone and read out the apology letter written by Ning Qiutang word for word. When he reached the last sentence.
The boy raised his eyes with a playful smirk, glanced at Ning Qiutang’s direction, and said with youthful arrogance, “I was wrong, but I’ll do it again.”
Everyone was excited and boiling over.
