He Left a Kiss on the Rose
He Left a Kiss on the Rose Chapter 26

Chapter 26: You and I, Together for All Time

Jiang Sheng looked at the photo he had just taken on his phone, his cold and indifferent expression softened slightly, like a vast desert after a heavy rain, gaining a patch of green.

This photo became the only one on his phone.

He looked up and saw Ning Qiutang playfully interacting with a child nearby, even sharing some of the snacks he had bought for her with other kids.

She was laughing like a three-year-old.

But the corners of his mouth unconsciously curled up into a slight smile, a subtle change in expression that quickly disappeared behind his cool facade.

Ning Qiutang took out a bubble machine and, with a playful spirit, blew a large stream of bubbles towards the moody “King of Hell.”

“Jiang Sheng, take this!”

Jiang Sheng scowled but didn’t spoil her fun.

After the carousel ride,

She calmed down slowly, adopting a reserved and shy demeanor as she walked beside the cool teenager. “I don’t usually act like this.”

Jiang Sheng still had bubbles in his hair. He glanced at the mischievous girl and snorted, “What, are you like a foldable phone? You can be folded in any way and still have personality.”

Ning Qiutang’s lips twitched. Even the cool god could use internet slang?

“Oh, I thought you’d be happy.”

Jiang Sheng pulled her into his arms, pinched her chin, and threatened in a low voice, “My happiness is playing with others to death.”

Ning Qiutang immediately felt a chill down her spine, suppressing her smile. Although they were childhood sweethearts, she rarely saw him.

Jiang Sheng seemed to have never really laughed since he was a child, and he had never been to such a childish place.

“There’s a haunted house, let’s go.”

She pulled Jiang Sheng towards it.

They went inside.

The timid Ning Qiutang was so scared she screamed repeatedly, burying herself into the strong Jiang Sheng’s arms.

Who said haunted houses weren’t real? This was scarier than watching horror movies.

Jiang Sheng held the little rose in his arms, who was almost scared to pieces, wiping her tears and laughing softly, “It seems ghosts are scarier than me.”

“You brought me here to play in a haunted house just so you could hold me with a clear conscience.”

Ning Qiutang looked up at him, trembling, her eyes catching his mischievous smile. She gritted her teeth and said, “Then push me away.”

At least he was smiling.

Seeing that she was a little shaky, Jiang Sheng directly scooped her up in a princess carry. “If I push you away, you’ll cry even louder, it’s annoying.”

Ning Qiutang closed her eyes and was speechless. You’re so handsome, why aren’t you a mute?

They successfully exited the haunted house. Sitting on a chair outside, she felt the warm wind blowing on her and finally felt like she was alive.

Seeing a stall selling fluorescent hairbands across the street, she went over and bought two.

Jiang Sheng looked up from his phone and followed her, replying to a message before lifting his head to see her standing on the flower bed, putting a small cat fluorescent hairband on her head.

The boy’s face instantly turned dark. “Ning Qiutang, you’re getting bold.”

Ning Qiutang immediately put one on herself too. “Don’t be angry, we’re here, we have to experience everything.”

“It’s really pretty, it doesn’t affect your cool and stylish aura at all.”

Jiang Sheng furrowed his brow, feeling like he was being too nice to her.

“You…”

“Oh, look, there’s a float parade!”

Ning Qiutang interrupted him, pulling him to watch.

Jiang Sheng pulled the thing off his head, intending to throw it away, but seeing the girl’s happy smile, he hesitated and held it in his hand instead of throwing it away.

The float parade came, grand and entertaining.

There were many handsome models on it, wearing the least amount of clothes and rubbing shoulders with the most masculine men.

The girls around them were cheering.

Ning Qiutang watched intently, her eyes glued to the men who were shirtless, each with a better physique than the last. She couldn’t help but swallow.

Is this the charm of male models?

Suddenly, a hand covered her eyes tightly.

Jiang Sheng leaned down and whispered in her ear like a devil: “You like looking so much, you don’t want your eyes anymore?”

Ning Qiutang was plunged into darkness, her whole body embraced by the young man behind her. She grabbed his hand and said, “I won’t look anymore, I won’t look anymore.”

“I want to go home.”

Jiang Sheng looked at the men with disdain and arrogance, finally taking her away.

As they were about to leave, they passed by a love pond.

There were chains tied around the pond.

The chains were hung with various love locks.

Ning Qiutang was suddenly pulled by him and taken to the place where they sold locks.

“Get us a pair.”

Jiang Sheng paid and got a pair of pink love locks, along with two small wooden plaques.

The shopkeeper gave them a pen.

Ning Qiutang’s eyes widened, the cold-faced Yama actually believed in this.

Coming to the edge of the pool, Jiang Sheng handed her the wooden plaque and pen: “Write, you and I, together for all eternity.”

Ning Qiutang stared at him, bewildered, thinking today was truly a day of ghosts and magic: “Why write this?”

“I wanted to write about getting first place in the college entrance exam, about being safe and sound in the future…”

And never seeing you again.

Jiang Sheng leaned closer, his gaze fixed on her, his smile deep and unfathomable: “No reason, I just want to.”

The things she didn’t want to happen would definitely happen, the things she didn’t want to do, she would eventually want to do. It was a dream for her to be miles apart from him.

Ning Qiutang didn’t want to write, she held the wooden plaque and pen, her expression sorrowful and sad: “We should believe in science, be good materialists, this can’t be trusted.”

“Write.” Jiang Sheng wouldn’t let her go, he would just keep her there if she didn’t write.

Ning Qiutang lowered her eyelids, her long eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings. She silently squatted on the ground and used the pen to write the words he wanted on the wooden plaque.

“Ning Qiutang and Jiang Sheng, together for all eternity.”

What’s the point?

In her previous life, she used a master’s talisman to write that Jiang Sheng would love her, but in the end, he still killed her.

After writing, Jiang Sheng snatched it from her to look at, then took the love lock and locked the wooden plaque together.

“If the gods dare to deceive me, I’ll blow up their home.”

Ning Qiutang stood up, not knowing what he was thinking, clearly disliking her but wanting to cling to her.

“Are you happy today?”

She asked him.

At this time, the fireworks show at the amusement park also began.

Purple and red fireworks exploded in the night sky, so romantic that lovers wished they could stay together forever.

Jiang Sheng’s gaze contained a hint of reminiscence, seeing her serious expression, he asked back: “Do you want me to be happy or unhappy?”

Ning Qiutang honestly said: “I hope you are happy.”

Jiang Sheng chuckled, reached out and touched her face, his expression unusually gentle: “I’m very happy, dating feels pretty good.”

Ning Qiutang smiled slightly and said: “I’m happy too.”

Jiang Sheng thought of what his friends said, the end of a date should always be a kiss.

He glanced at the girl’s full lips, the bright red color of her lips like a blooming rose.

Fireworks rained down on them, some romantic to the point of death.

“It’s getting late, we have class tomorrow, let’s go home.”

Ning Qiutang didn’t see the young man’s thoughts, otherwise she would have run away in the middle of the night.

Jiang Sheng frowned slightly, his previous thoughts were too dangerous, and uncontrollable. How could he want to kiss someone else?
