He Left a Kiss on the Rose Chapter 34

Chapter 34: I’ll Be With Her Till Death Do Us Part

“Are you kidding me? Asking the big baddie to kneel down and apologize? Do I have enough lives to play with?”

Jiang Sheng took this chance to grab her hand, wrapping her small hand tightly in his, and slowly stood up, his expression cold: “Are you really forgiving me?”

“Not crying anymore?”

Grandma Jiang looked at her grandson who finally seemed to have come to his senses, and happily led the other idle people out.

Ning Qiutang wanted to follow her grandmother, but Jiang Sheng held her wrist tightly. Her wet eyes looked at the young man with fear: “I really forgave you, I can’t help but cry, you know, I can’t control it.”

Jiang Sheng, after the elders left, his face instantly turned dark, grabbed the girl’s hand, pulled her into his arms, and stared at her pretending to be pitiful: “You keep saying I bullied you, I didn’t touch you or kiss you, you took advantage of me, is it fun to snitch?”

This hooligan, his words are too shameless!

Ning Qiutang struggled in his arms, one hand against his chest, preventing him from doing anything, her round and jade-like face was pinched a little painfully by him.

“Who took advantage of who? It’s clearly you who keeps touching me, let go of me, why are you pinching so hard!”

Jiang Sheng pinched her mouth until it pouted, seeing her look like the red and white goldfish raised by the master in the courtyard, he found it a bit cute.

He’ll make her cute to death one day.

He raised his other hand, bent his fingers, and flicked her forehead: “Little rose, your mouth looks very kissable.”

Ning Qiutang immediately pursed her lips, then thought that wasn’t enough, she stuck out her tongue and licked her own mouth, simply disgusting him.

“Then you kiss me.” She was fearless.

She decided that she would never wear lipstick, lip gloss, or brush her teeth again!

Jiang Sheng clicked his tongue, released her face, truly disgusted by her antics, his fingers even wiped on her skirt, his disgusted expression was undisguised.

Ning Qiutang breathed a sigh of relief, rubbed her flushed face and said triumphantly: “Hmph, brother is so tall, your figure must be very good, you must have eight-pack abs, let me touch it.”

She reached out and tugged at the young man’s clothes, her eyes glued to him with love.

Jiang Sheng took a step back for the first time, his eyes complex as he looked at her, then turned and left.

He had to go to the bathroom to throw up.

Ning Qiutang pouted, it turns out that to deal with shameless people, you have to be even more shameless.

She happily went to find Grandma Jiang.

In the bathroom of the rest room.

Jiang Sheng’s wet hand rested on the clean mirror, his face pale, he bent over and vomited, a rare sight of helplessness, in the mirror his face was cold, a deep sense of world-weariness filled his eyes.

The faucet was constantly running, he suddenly punched the mirror on the wall, countless shards fell to the ground and into the sink.

He picked up a sharp shard from the water, then squeezed it hard in his palm, his left hand slowly oozed out a string of blood drops, all merging into the sink.

“Don’t let me touch her, I’ll be with her till death do us part.”

Jiang Sheng forcibly suppressed the uncontrollable instinct in his body, threw the shard of mirror he was holding in his palm into the trash can, went out to simply treat the wound, and asked someone to come in and clean the bathroom.

Ning Qiutang listened to Grandma Jiang talk about the past when she married Grandpa Jiang and had children, saying that there used to be a lot of lotus flowers planted in the house, and every summer she would make a pot of lotus seed sweet soup for the family to drink, refreshing and cooling, calming the nerves and promoting sleep.

So she volunteered to go pick lotus seeds and learn from her grandmother how to make sweet soup.

There was a large pond in the backyard of the temple. Ning Qiutang sat on a small wooden boat with a basket, using a pole to navigate the pond and pick lotus flowers, lotus pods, and lotus leaves.

She was having a blast, taking pictures and videos to show Yu Jiaojiao.

Lying amidst a pile of pink and tender lotus flowers, her beauty was no less stunning than these breathtaking scenery. The young girl had rosy lips and white teeth, her smile was as bright as a flower, and she was lying at the back of the boat, her hand occasionally dipping into the water, playing with abandon.

Jiang Sheng arrived and saw a sight that was enough to shock him. He stood in the pavilion, his gaze fixed on the tender green figure on the small boat, his eyes as if trying to permanently imprint this scene in his mind.

Ning Qiutang’s hair reached her waist. She had always cherished her black hair, and under the sunlight, each strand was distinct, glossy and smooth, with some strands even falling into the water, unnoticed by their owner.

Her skin was very fair, with a rosy glow like a ripe peach. Wearing a tender green dress, she looked like the most beautiful flower in the lotus pond, more beautiful than the flowers, captivating at first glance.

Suddenly, the girl screamed and stood up, losing her balance and falling into the pond.

Jiang Sheng ran over without hesitation and jumped into the water, pulling her out.

Ning Qiutang clung to him like a life raft, soaked to the bone but not caring about the shame, pressing against the young man, her lips trembling: “Get to shore, there’s a snake!”

“Wuwuwu, hurry up!”

She was terrified of snakes, her face turning pale.

Jiang Sheng took a quick glance around, but found no sign of a snake. He first rescued her, holding her waist with one hand and her legs with the other, lifting her up and placing her on the dry shore.

Ning Qiutang had been scared out of her wits, and in her panic, she had choked on several mouthfuls of water. She patted her chest and coughed, quickly pulling her legs out of the water.

“I really saw a snake.”

Jiang Sheng emerged from the water, supporting himself on the shore, and pulled her up, leading her back: “I’ll have someone drain the water and clear all these lotus flowers and leaves to see what kind of snake scared you like this.”

“There’s no need for that, the snake probably ran away. You should do more good deeds while you’re at the temple, to avoid retribution later.”

Ning Qiutang gradually calmed down, finding it a bit ridiculous that he was making such a big fuss over a snake. She wasn’t afraid anymore, it was just a snake, and there were so many people around.

Seeing her about to struggle again, Jiang Sheng said, “Ning Qiutang, your clothes are very see-through.”

Ning Qiutang froze, looking down at her chest. The fabric didn’t reveal anything when it was dry, but now that it was soaked, everything was visible.

Her face turned red, and she stopped struggling, clutching her chest: “You’re not allowed to look!”

“Okay, I won’t.” Jiang Sheng calmly retracted his gaze. ABC, it should be C, he didn’t realize this little girl had a small face but was not small in other places.

He didn’t think there was anything wrong with thinking about it. He was looking at his fiancĂ©e, so what if he thought about it? It’s not like he had colored glasses.

Jiang Sheng took her back to the room first.

Grandma Jiang heard that the girl had fallen into the water and immediately came over with people.

Seeing Jiang Sheng come out of the room, soaked to the bone, she asked, “How is Little Haitang? Is she okay?”

“It’s my fault, I let her go alone. I told her to have Auntie accompany her, but she said she wanted to play by herself.”

“It’s okay, she just got a little scared. Her clothes and mine are all wet, let’s drive back and buy some changes of clothes.”

Jiang Sheng reassured his grandmother, then went to buy clothes for Ning Qiutang himself.
