Chapter 45: Still Can’t Steal a Kiss?
Ning’s Mother made a phone call, it lasted for a long time.
Ning Qiutang poured herself a bowl of pork knuckle, red dates, and ginseng soup, a strong medicinal smell.
Just as she was happily eating, she saw Jiang Sheng coming down from the stairs.
“I don’t usually eat much.” She said subconsciously.
She quickly realized what she was explaining, what was wrong with eating a lot, it wasn’t like she was eating your family’s rice.
She boldly took a big bite of meat, it was delicious and she loved it.
Jiang Sheng walked over, looking at the plentiful food on the table, then at the girl who seemed a little wary of him: “Even my big white dog doesn’t protect its food like you.”
“You… hmph, mind your own business.” Ning Qiutang didn’t bother arguing with him, she didn’t want him to affect her appetite.
Jiang Sheng didn’t intend to sit down and eat with her, he took the tea leaves and was about to leave.
Ning Qiutang’s eyes rolled: “You’re just leaving, won’t you sit down and have some?”
Jiang Sheng chuckled: “You don’t have to be so polite, after all, the only person you need to please is yourself.”
“I won’t be angry, because you’re really sick.”
The boy finished his jab and left, looking in a good mood.
Ning Qiutang could tell he was being sarcastic, she chewed on her chopsticks angrily, what was wrong with her being sick, the hospital had a certificate!
Damn it, damn it, wouldn’t this guy’s mouth poison himself to death when he eats?
She finished her meal before her mother came down.
Seeing her mother about to go out, she asked: “Mom, aren’t you eating?”
Ning’s Mother’s face was a little anxious, but she spoke to her kindly: “It’s okay, honey, I’ll eat later, Mom has something to do, you go to bed early.”
Ning Qiutang nodded understandingly, watching her mother leave.
What did Jiang Sheng say to her mother?
Something wouldn’t happen, would it?
She thought about it and sent a message to Jiang Sheng.
“What did you tell my mom?”
Jiang Sheng: “I can tell you, but you have to tutor me well tomorrow.”
Ning Qiutang: “Then tell me first.”
Jiang Sheng: “Ning Yi’s herb garden has a problem, someone is using her brand to sell fake medicine, and they are also smuggling.”
That serious!
Ning Qiutang was terrified: “Is my mom okay?”
Jiang Sheng: “It was discovered in time, so it can be salvaged, and the Jiang family has connections, so the matter can be handled leniently.”
Ning Qiutang: “Then I really need to thank you.”
She wasn’t stupid, Jiang Sheng reminded her mother about the herb garden, and the Jiang family helped, it was all favors, he wasn’t just doing it for nothing.
Jiang Sheng: “Be nice to me tomorrow.”
Ning Qiutang sent a forced smile emoji.
The next day at noon break.
Ning Qiutang took her exercises to find him.
Jiang Sheng had chosen a quiet study room with air conditioning to wait for her.
As soon as Ning Qiutang sat down, the boy took out two strawberry milkshake flavored milkshakes.
“Yu Jiaojiao said you like this flavor.”
Ning Qiutang thought to herself, her best friend had no backbone, she sold her out so quickly.
“Do these exercises first.”
So tiring, he knew everything but still wanted to torture her.
Jiang Sheng reciprocated by giving her a set of test papers: “Let’s see who finishes faster.”
Ning Qiutang’s eyes lit up at the sight of the test papers, these questions were new and well-designed: “Okay, let’s race.”
“The loser has to agree to one condition.”
Jiang Sheng took the opportunity to make a request.
Ning Qiutang hesitated, she knew this guy was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, she might not be able to win, but how could she know the difference without trying?
“Okay, it’s not just about who finishes fast, but also who gets it right.”
Jiang Sheng spun the pen between his fingers, a cool move: “Of course.”
“Let’s begin.” Ning Qiutang took a sip of her milkshake, rubbed her fingers, and immediately started writing furiously.
His attitude was very serious.
Jiang Sheng seemed unconcerned, his pen moving idly on the paper.
His gaze would occasionally glance at the girl who was working so hard.
Ning Qiutang was oblivious, her eyes only on the problems, her passion for them burning like a fire.
Jiang Sheng directly wrote the answers below the questions, without showing any working out. He finished in less than half an hour.
“Ningning, I win.”
Ning Qiutang frowned at him, “How did you do it so fast? You just wrote the answers, you didn’t show the process!”
“If I did that, I wouldn’t need half an hour, I could finish in a few minutes!”
“You said it yourself, it needs to be fast and correct. How do you know I’m not just making things up? We agreed beforehand, I didn’t look at the answers.”
Jiang Sheng looked at her with amusement, her ruffled feathers were so cute. He thought to himself and reached out to touch her head.
Ning Qiutang was caught off guard. She was focused on checking the answers. Seeing that all the answers were correct, she realized the gap in their abilities was truly vast.
The other questions were fine, but the last one was extremely difficult. It was hard to get the answer without calculations.
“You wouldn’t have hidden your scratch paper, would you?”
She rummaged through Jiang Sheng’s bag and the desk below.
Nothing.
It was mental calculation.
Seeing her incredulous expression, Jiang Sheng pinched her face and said with a slight smile, “I’m just that strong, don’t question it.”
Ning Qiutang slapped his hand away, “Humph, so what? Even if you’re amazing, nobody knows about it.”
“I’m not envious.”
Jiang Sheng’s desire to show off was crushed. He had never seen a woman like Ning Qiutang, so indifferent: “What did you say earlier? You promised me a request if you lost.”
Ning Qiutang immediately went back on her word, “I never said that, it doesn’t count!”
She was about to run away.
Jiang Sheng caught her and pressed her between him and the wall.
“Trying to cheat? You can’t back out now.”
Ning Qiutang pushed him with both hands, her face turning red, “You did this on purpose! You knew I would lose and set me up, this doesn’t count!”
“Yes, I did it on purpose. Are you going to let me kiss you?”
Jiang Sheng looked at her domineeringly, his gaze falling on her full, luscious lips. He had never thought about getting so close to a girl before.
Ning Qiutang gasped, making sure she hadn’t misheard. She immediately covered her mouth and shook her head, “You’re a scoundrel! No!”
“Move aside, I don’t want to play with you anymore!”
How could Jiang Sheng let her go? But he wasn’t in a hurry.
If he really scared her, it would be a hassle to coax her back.
“Tsk, what are you afraid of? I wouldn’t force you.”
The prince stepped back a little, giving her a reprieve, but he held her arm to prevent her from running away.
“The tutoring session isn’t over yet.”
Ning Qiutang was truly exasperated. Was this really about tutoring? It was clearly an opportunity to bully her.
The sun was high in the sky, and the light from the window shone in.
Jiang Sheng continued to do the problems, still taking a minute to look at the question, a minute to think, and a minute to write down the answer.
Ning Qiutang was full of admiration. It was no wonder students naturally worshiped geniuses. This kind of person would be the object of secret crushes in school, no matter what.
“What are you looking at? If you don’t want to do problems, we can do something else.” Jiang Sheng said casually.
Ning Qiutang snorted, turning her attention back to her book. She needed to rest at noon, she couldn’t hold on any longer. She lay down on the table and fell asleep.
Jiang Sheng looked at her again. The scorching light slowly approached her face. Her skin was white and rosy, like a peach. He used a book to block the sunlight and leaned down.
He couldn’t kiss her openly, but couldn’t he steal a kiss?
The young master had his own rules.
