Reunion After Separation: The Boss’s Relentless Pursuit Chapter 51

Chapter 51: Compensation

The next day, Qin Ruyan and Zhang Qiyao went out for a day of shopping. They visited three fabric suppliers and finally settled on one.

Qin Ruyan signed the contract and paid a deposit. Zhang Qiyao was completely dumbfounded throughout the process.

“Ruyan, are you that rich?” Zhang Qiyao was already shocked when Qin Ruyan bought her brother a watch. Now, she was paying a million-dollar deposit without blinking an eye.

Qin Ruyan turned to look at Zhang Qiyao, finding her adorable.

“Your brother gave it to me. He gave me a hundred million on our wedding day.”

Her words were half-true. Lu Jingchen did transfer her a hundred million, but she hadn’t used it yet. She was using her own savings.

Zhang Qiyao silently gave her brother a thumbs-up.

“My brother is truly rich and generous.”

Qin Ruyan smiled. It was getting late, so she suggested they go have hotpot. When Lu Jingchen was around, they hadn’t been together yet, so she felt awkward and hadn’t enjoyed herself.

Zhang Qiyao naturally agreed. They went back to the same restaurant they had been to before, but this time they ordered a spicy pot.

Qin Ruyan ordered a lot of meat and vegetables. She poured herself a cup of hot tea and poured one for Zhang Qiyao. She took off her duckbill cap and placed it aside. Then, she took a hair tie from her wrist and tied her hair up, revealing her smooth forehead. Zhang Qiyao was once again captivated by her beauty. No wonder her brother was willing to spend a fortune, or rather, a hundred million.

The two chatted as they ate. The meal lasted quite a while. After they finished, Zhang Qiyao said she wanted to sleep with Qin Ruyan that night.

Qin Ruyan thought about it. Lu Jingchen wasn’t home, and it was his sister, so it wasn’t a problem to go to their house. She agreed to let Zhang Qiyao stay.

They slept in the guest room.

Zhang Qiyao didn’t dare suggest sleeping in the master bedroom, afraid that her brother would skin her alive if he found out. After all, she had accidentally seen the hickey on Qin Ruyan’s neck, and she knew how possessive her brother was.

After they showered, they got into bed and chatted for a while before Zhang Qiyao fell asleep.

Qin Ruyan was impressed by her sleep quality. She hadn’t slept well these past few days, and she hadn’t brought her sleeping pills. Unable to sleep, she picked up her phone and prepared to play a game.

Just as she opened the game app and before she could log in, Lu Jingchen’s video call came through. She was stunned. She glanced at the sleeping figure on the bed, quietly got out of bed, left the guest room, and sat down on the sofa in the living room.

“Why did it take you so long to answer?”

Lu Jingchen had just gotten off the plane and wasn’t sure if she was at home or at the Qin residence.

“Yaoyao is at home today. She’s asleep, and I was afraid of waking her up, so I came to the living room to answer. You, are you back?” Qin Ruyan sat on the sofa, took a sip of water, and heard the airport announcement in the background.

Lu Jingchen frowned. “She’s not going back?”

Qin Ruyan rubbed her nose, feeling a little guilty. “We went to sign the fabric supplier contract today and then had hotpot together. She said she wanted to stay with me. You weren’t here.”

“Well, now I’m back. Who is the wife going to spend the night with, me or her?” Lu Jingchen twisted his eyebrows. He was newly married, and his sister wasn’t helping at all. Instead, she was disrupting their time together.

Qin Ruyan thought that if Zhang Qiyao woke up in the morning and didn’t see her, she would be teased.

“Can I spend the night with you tomorrow? I already promised Yaoyao.” She felt a little embarrassed. If she went back to the master bedroom to sleep as soon as Lu Jingchen came back, anyone could guess what would happen.

“Alright, I’m coming home soon. Don’t go to sleep yet. Wait for me.” Lu Jingchen thought for a moment before speaking.

After hanging up the phone, Qin Ruyan went to the kitchen to cook some porridge and then went to the master bedroom to get him some clothes.

Then, she sat on the sofa and waited for him.

Twenty minutes later, she heard the sound of the door opening. She got up from the sofa, walked towards the door, and Lu Jingchen just walked in.

She held up a finger to him, making a shushing motion. “Yaoyao is asleep in the guest room,” she said, stuffing his pajamas into his arms and pulling him towards the master bedroom.

“You take a shower first. I made you some porridge. Have some to eat?” As the saying goes, you don’t hit a smiling person.

Lu Jingchen grabbed her hand, trapping her in his arms, and locked the master bedroom door. With his other hand, he lifted her chin and leaned down to kiss her lips, gently biting her lip before slipping his tongue inside to lick every corner of her mouth.

Qin Ruyan knew she was in the wrong, so she nestled obediently in his arms, letting him kiss her.

After a long time, Lu Jingchen released her, cupped her face, and pressed his thumb against her lips.

“Just a little interest for now. I’ll find you again tomorrow night. I need compensation.” His words were full of innuendo. Qin Ruyan didn’t say anything, and he wasn’t in a hurry.

The two of them stood there in a stalemate for a while, then Qin Ruyan thought of something.

She walked over and opened the closet door, taking out a box for him.

Lu Jingchen raised an eyebrow. He opened it and found a watch.

“What’s this, Madam?” He was quite surprised. He didn’t expect her to give him a gift.

Qin Ruyan smiled. “It’s a gift for you. Do you like it?”

He had done so much for her and her family, and she actually knew it in her heart.

Lu Jingchen smiled and pulled her into his arms. “I like it, but I would like it even more if Madam did it in a different way.”

He lowered his voice and whispered in her ear.

Qin Ruyan blushed and pushed his chest. “Let me go first. I need to go to sleep.”

Lu Jingchen didn’t let go of her. He pulled her closer to his body. “I’m not joking.”

She raised her eyes, and his eyes were full of suppressed desire, even his forehead was sweating.

Qin Ruyan pursed her lips, stood on tiptoe, and kissed him. “You’ve worked hard. Just hold on for a bit.”

There was a third person in the house, and she really couldn’t…

His forehead was throbbing. He lowered his head and kissed her for a while before letting her go.

“Remember to lock the door when you go into the room.” After he finished speaking, he let her go. Qin Ruyan slipped away immediately.

Lu Jingchen shook his head. He went into the bathroom to take a shower, and then went out. He still remembered Qin Ruyan saying she had made him porridge.

After he finished eating and tidying up, it was almost dawn. He slept alone in the master bedroom, and he didn’t sleep well. He thought of something and decided to cut Zhang Qiyao’s allowance in half. She was fighting with him for his wife, and what allowance did she deserve?

The next day.

Lu Jingchen woke up very early.

He made breakfast in the kitchen. When Zhang Qiyao woke up, Qin Ruyan was still asleep.

She tiptoed out of the room and saw her brother wearing an apron, holding breakfast in his hands.

“Brother? When did you come back?” She was a little surprised.

Lu Jingchen glanced at her calmly. “Last night.”

She saw that her brother wasn’t in a good mood, and she remembered Qin Ruyan sleeping in the guest room.

She unconsciously lowered her voice. “Did you come back last night, and did my sister-in-law know?”

Lu Jingchen put the breakfast on the dining table, pulled out a chair and sat down.

“She knows, but she said she wanted to keep you company.”

Zhang Qiyao’s mouth twitched. So her brother was alone last night?

She swallowed. “Brother, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have bothered you.”

Lu Jingchen chuckled inwardly. He was just teasing her.

“If you want to come and stay in the future, let me know in advance. After all, my wife and I just got married, and we’re not willing to be apart.”

Apart? It was just one night!

Zhang Qiyao was inwardly indignant, but she didn’t show it on her face.
