Release the Female Lead Ch. 709

Chapter 709: So, You’re That Kind of XXX

It rushed at Ye Wenxin again, spreading blood everywhere. Ye Wenxin punched the flower’s face. It jerked violently before its skin withered.

“No way.” Ye Wenxin gaped. “This thing is so fragile. Or maybe it died quickly because it got out of the pot.” As she pondered the reason, the red flower had withered completely. Not a hint of residue remained.

It reminded Ye Wenxin that counterfeits wouldn’t have good deaths. But how would Fairy Zhuling’s scheme continue with the red flower dead?

If she didn’t act soon, Liu Churan would come. Should she watch as Fairy Fengya, Liu Churan, Long Qingyue, and Fairy Zhuling criticize her while playing mahjong?

Or should she destroy this place and solve everything with Fairy Zhuling’s death? Ye Wenxin felt it would be more appropriate to kill Fairy Zhuling.

After hesitating for too long, footsteps gradually approached.

Ye Wenxin glanced at the flower pot. She figured out the best way to slay Fairy Zhuling.

She jumped into the flower pot. Concealing her body, Ye Wenxin pretended to be the red flower. Just then, Long Qing’er—possessed by Fairy Zhuling—walked in through the door.

The two Secret Guards from earlier followed behind her with uneasy expressions. Fairy Zhuling appeared surprised upon seeing Ye Wenxin. She quickly dismissed her subordinates.

“So, Long Qingyue’s book is legitimate.” Fairy Zhuling circled Ye Wenxin with astonishment. “Just a few hairs and some blood sample could create an identical being.” She seemed joyful to see the ‘fake’ Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng.

Ye Wenxin had thought this would be a much simpler matter. When she heard Long Qingyue’s name, she knew Long Qingyue had tricked Fairy Zhuling.

Creating a being from hair and blood was a form of cloning technology, something not fully realized on their Earth. To her surprise, it had been achieved here in such a bloody manner. However, if it came from Long Qingyue, Ye Wenxin wasn’t worried about her encountering any danger.

The clever Long Qingyue would be the one to bully others, never the other way around. Ye Wenxin inwardly sighed with relief. But then she felt Fairy Zhuling’s hand unceremoniously assault her mountain peaks. “But still, such a realistic sensation… and the peach blossoms on the back…”

She continued to circle Ye Wenxin, unaware the one before her was not the red flower she had nurtured for so long. Ye Wenxin roared angrily, mimicking the red flower’s beastly appearance. It didn’t faze Fairy Zhuling. She grabbed Ye Wenxin’s chin, then said viciously, “Remember my face. I am both your master and the one who could kill you.”

The aura of hostility emanating from Fairy Zhuling made her appear incomparably fearsome. Ye Wenxin found it funny but feigned vulnerability. Since Fairy Zhuling hadn’t caught on, Ye Wenxin played along to see what she would do next.

“Of course,” Fairy Zhuling said while pulling out a dagger, “If you are loyal to me, I will reward you handsomely.” She cut her pinky finger, letting the blood flow for Ye Wenxin to drink.

The red flower relied on blood for nourishment and flesh to build its form. Earlier, it had been in its weakest state after just being born. So, Ye Wenxin had killed it with a single punch. Her act now faced its first test. She needed to drink human blood.

Suspicion began to surface in Fairy Zhuling’s gaze. Ye Wenxin reluctantly moved closer to drink. But Fairy Zhuling abruptly kicked her knee, forcing her to kneel on the ground. Fairy Zhuling sat nearby and jeered. “Ye Wenxin, how far you have fallen. Lick it clean for me!”

Fairy Zhuling’s dark side had emerged. She couldn’t restrain her murderous intent toward Immortal Lord Taohua’s descendant.

First, Ye Wenxin had thwarted her plan to obtain Fairy Fengya’s body. And she happened to be a descendant of Immortal Lord Taohua. Old and new grudges combined made Fairy Zhuling think about killing Ye Wenxin countless times.

It might have been doable when she had Fairy Fengya’s body before. But now, even ten of Long Qing’er’s bodies wouldn’t stand a chance against Ye Wenxin. So, Fairy Zhuling could only resort to petty tricks and schemes.

Fortunately, she had stolen forbidden techniques from Long Qingyue. With them, she created a clone of Ye Wenxin. As long as she had Ye Wenxin, the amnesiac Fairy Fengya would be at her mercy.

Even the proud Long Qingyue would let her guard down and fall at the hands of her best friend.

Of course, this process wouldn’t finish in a day or two. Fairy Zhuling used her blood to nourish the red flower, hoping it could grow stronger.

Most importantly, this was a puppet. Fairy Zhuling could vent whatever grievances she suffered outside on the puppet.

However, she didn’t realize Ye Wenxin was standing right in front of her. She was busy enjoying the sight of that disgusting face bowing down. When Ye Wenxin moved so slowly, Fairy Zhuling couldn’t resist kicking her again.

Ye Wenxin protected herself with her qi, so she felt no pain. She only struggled a little, then maintained her posture, watching her.

“Heh. Looks like it’s working well… I could also create a body for myself. But going out… that part’s still a bit troublesome.” The success of creating Ye Wenxin’s puppet filled Fairy Zhuling with confidence. She even entertained the idea of creating a puppet that resembled her original form.

Ye Wenxin wanted to laugh. She was going to kill Fairy Zhuling right here. There would be no need for any further plans. She continued to approach as a puppet. But Fairy Zhuling extended her legs, pulling Ye Wenxin closer.

“A person shouldn’t be so greedy,” she said upon seeing Ye Wenxin’s foolish demeanor. “How is it that you behave just like that tramp… But perform well, and I might give you some more blood.”

She used her legs to control Ye Wenxin, unaware she was offering the tramp a service. Ye Wenxin felt speechless, almost as though she were being insulted. She tried to get closer again, but Fairy Zhuling twisted her body slightly. Ye Wenxin initially intended to end things with a swift assassination. But when Fairy Zhuling dodged, she accidentally pulled Ye Wenxin in. Ye Wenxin’s head bumped into the mysterious gate.

Instantly, as if she’d gone mad, Fairy Zhuling kicked her away and screamed. “Not even my sister has touched me there! How dare you…”

She rushed out, leaving Ye Wenxin alone in the room. Ye Wenxin’s jaw dropped, suddenly at a loss for how to express her complicated feelings…
