Reunion After Separation: The Boss’s Relentless Pursuit Chapter 71

Chapter 71: Studio Opening 3

After a few days, the day of the studio’s official opening finally arrived.

She, Zhang Qiyao, and Zhou Ying discussed it and decided that Zhou Ying would be the face of the store, while they would blend into the crowd to observe the customer response. After all, if word got out that Zhang Qiyao was an investor, the store would be packed.

Qin Ruyan felt a little nervous. She held a water cup and took several sips.

“I’m telling you, Ruyan, don’t be nervous. The clothes you designed, our tailor spent two or three months meticulously crafting them. I took a look the other day, and to be honest, if I hadn’t invested with you, I’d have bought them to collect.”

Qin Ruyan smiled. “Yaoyao, you’re always teasing me.”

Zhang Qiyao walked over and took her hand. “Look, Yingying is already overwhelmed. I think if we don’t come often, we’ll need to hire more people.”

Qin Ruyan nodded. She put the baseball cap in her hand on Zhang Qiyao’s head and smiled. “This way, we won’t be recognized, right?”

Zhang Qiyao nodded. “Shall we go in now?”

Qin Ruyan nodded.

They followed the crowd inside. Their store wasn’t very big, about two hundred square meters. They didn’t have many clothes on display today, only forty or fifty pieces.

They walked around, paying attention to the comments of the people coming in.

“The clothes in this store have such unique styles, and the details are so well done. The fabric looks very fine. But it’s a bit expensive.” A young couple passed by Qin Ruyan. She turned her head and looked at them. They were both good-looking, with youthful faces. The girl was staring intently at a skirt.

The boy put his arm around her waist, lowered his head, and said in a gentle voice, “Let’s study hard, get good jobs after graduation, and with hard work, we can achieve anything, right?”

Qin Ruyan looked over. It was the design she had created, called “Passionate,” if she remembered correctly.

A black, short, waist-revealing hoodie with no patterns on the front or back, but with rose embroidery on the arms. The matching high-waisted tulle skirt was the same color, with small rhinestones embellishing it.

She glanced at the price tag, then at the young couple, and hesitated for a moment before approaching them.

“Little sister, do you like this outfit?” She smiled. The girl in the couple looked up at her and nodded.

“Yes, sister. There’s a performance at our school, and I’m going to perform a solo dance. I think this outfit would match my dance, but it’s too expensive for me.”

The girl lowered her head. Both she and her boyfriend were still students, living on their parents’ money. They occasionally worked part-time to earn some extra money, but a five-figure outfit was definitely beyond their reach. She just felt a little sad about it, but didn’t complain.

The boy beside her didn’t say anything. They really didn’t have the ability to afford it now, and they didn’t feel inferior because of it. He reached out and stroked the girl’s head, comforting her.

Qin Ruyan seemed to see a glimpse of herself when she was studying abroad, facing difficulties and having to overcome them alone. She wasn’t a particularly kind person, but everyone she met had given her warmth, and she wanted to give back to others within her means.

“Little sister, I can give you this outfit. But can you promise to invite me to watch your performance when you go on stage?”

The girl looked up in surprise, her face full of disbelief.

Beside her, Zhang Qiyao sighed. Her best friend, her sister-in-law, was always so soft-hearted.

“That wouldn’t be right, would it?” The girl came to her senses. “This outfit is too expensive, I can’t accept it.”

Qin Ruyan smiled. “Then just pay me 88 yuan. It’s my first day of business, and you’re my first customer. Give me a good omen, okay?”

She opened the studio to make money, but the girl in front of her reminded her of her own past in some ways.

“You’re beautiful. Wear my clothes and perform, and you can promote my studio.”

Li Pan looked up at Qin Ruyan. Her reason told her not to take it, but deep down, she was tempted.

Qin Ruyan saw her hesitation and thought for a moment before speaking again.

“How about you post a Weibo mentioning us? Consider it a promotional fee. When you graduate and start earning money, you can buy it then. I’ll give you a lifetime discount of 20%.”

Qin Ruyan decided to buy the dress and give it to the girl. After all, there were only a few people in the studio now, and she couldn’t be reckless. She would deduct the difference for the lifetime discount from her personal account later.

She didn’t know why, maybe it was because her teacher had helped her when she was abroad. She wanted to help the girl in front of her.

Li Pan opened her mouth, unable to speak for a while.

Zhou Ying had already arranged for a staff member to wrap the dress. Qin Ruyan took the bag and smiled, handing it to Li Pan.

“Add me on WeChat and send me an 88 yuan transfer. Remember, when you perform in this dress, tell me beforehand, and I’ll be there to cheer you on.”

Li Pan hesitated for a long time, refusing to take it. Qin Ruyan stuffed the bag into her hand, took out her phone, opened the scan feature, and said, “I’ll add you.”

Her smile was radiant, her eyes captivating. Li Pan was stunned and nodded, taking out her phone to scan the QR code.

Qin Ruyan quickly added her on WeChat and left her phone number.

“Little sister, what’s your name?”

The girl came to her senses, her voice slightly ethereal. “Sister, my name is Li Pan.”

Qin Ruyan nodded, added a note to her contact, and put away her phone. She smiled.

“Li Pan, remember to send me the 88 yuan transfer and the performance time and location. I have something else to do. You can take a look around. Be careful on your way back.”

She had to go to the counter to pay.

Li Pan nodded and said, “Thank you, sister. I’ll definitely promote your clothes when I go back.”

Qin Ruyan smiled and waved at them before heading to the counter.

She took out her phone, pointed it at the payment code, and scanned a payment.

Zhang Qiyao was amazed. She walked over and patted Qin Ruyan on the shoulder.

“Yanyan, why are you so nice to a girl you don’t know?” Even her best friend was jealous.

Qin Ruyan smiled and pinched her cheek. “You’re my best friend and my little sister-in-law. Who can compare to you? I just see that the girl really likes the dress. We just opened, so it’s good to have more channels for promotion. Besides, I noticed that although they look young and inexperienced, they have pride in their bones. They won’t blame the world just because their financial situation doesn’t match their desires. That’s truly commendable. They seem to have a good relationship, and the boy doesn’t think his girlfriend is unreasonable for liking expensive clothes.”

Qin Ruyan’s smile faded, and she became serious. “Besides, Yaoyao, you’ve been so kind and helpful to me, and I want to help others as much as I can. But today, I didn’t think things through. This studio is for all of us, but I made the decision directly. I promise, this is the only time.”

Zhang Qiyao smiled. “I invested only because this is your studio, Yanyan. I never thought about splitting the profits or anything. I was just worried that you might need money. As for studio decisions, Yanyan, you still have 100% say.”
