The man had a smile on his face, but it was a lewd and unsettling smile.
“So what if your husband is from the nearby military district? Do you think you’ll have the chance to run and report it?”
As the man finished speaking, two more men emerged from the grove. They dragged Huang Xiaodong by his arms and threw him to the ground, one on each side.
Huang Xiaodong was kicked and warned, “If you run again, we’ll break your legs. How dare you not repay your gambling debts.”
Just as he looked up, he saw Jiang Ning. He whistled loudly, a crude gesture.
His expression turned malicious, “What a pleasant surprise.”
Huang Xiaodong, bruised and battered, had one of his hands broken. Unable to endure the beating any longer, and fearing they would cut off his fingers, he had desperately called out to Jiang Ning when he saw her passing by.
Now, seeing her surrounded, he felt immense regret.
Suddenly, summoning strength from somewhere, he broke free from the two men holding him and rushed forward, pushing the man standing in front of Jiang Ning.
Then he was kicked to the ground again, but he clung to one of the men’s legs.
Huang Xiaodong, his face bruised and swollen, shouted at Jiang Ning, “Run away quickly!”
This area was deserted, and it would probably be too late to call for help. Jiang Ning forced herself to stay calm. In situations like this, panicking wouldn’t help her think of a solution.
In an era without surveillance, these men, who seemed to commit such heinous acts regularly, wouldn’t be easily deterred by a few words from her.
Huang Xiaodong’s resistance was futile. Before Jiang Ning could react, the other two men rushed forward and surrounded her.
One of the men reached out to touch Jiang Ning’s face. Her fair and delicate skin made him itch with desire.
“Baby, let me show you some love. I’ll make sure you’re in heaven.”
“Hey, I saw her first, so I should go first!”
“Get out of the way. I’m going first, no matter what.”
The man spat, but just as he was about to touch the woman’s pretty face, his hand stopped abruptly an inch away.
The man’s eyes widened in horror as he stared at the woman in front of him.
“You… you… how…” he stammered, unable to form a coherent sentence.
The woman’s eyes and nose began to bleed without warning, just like the ghosts in legends who bleed from their seven orifices. He shifted his gaze to the side and saw blood trickling from her ears as well.
“Aren’t you going to play?” The ugly man who had first set his sights on Jiang Ning, seeing that his companion hadn’t moved for a while, came over to investigate.
‘Gasp!’
As soon as he approached, he was met with a face covered in blood, which sent his heart racing in fear.
“Hehe—”
The woman suddenly laughed, a sound that echoed eerily in the silent surroundings.
Jiang Ning raised her hand, which was now covered in flowing blood, looking gruesome and terrifying.
She spoke slowly, and as she opened her mouth, a large amount of blood flowed out, her smile sinister. “Come on, it’s been centuries since anyone played with me. I’ve been quite lonely.”
No one?
Centuries?
The two men standing in front of Jiang Ning had turned pale, their minds urging them to run, but their legs felt as heavy as lead, unable to move a single step.
Their eyes met, and they realized they had encountered a ghost!
“Come on,” Jiang Ning suddenly took a step forward, placing a hand on one of the men’s shoulders, smearing him with blood.
The man whose shoulder Jiang Ning touched couldn’t help but shudder.
His legs were trembling uncontrollably.
Jiang Ning let out a cold, disdainful sound.
So easily frightened.
In the silent surroundings, with the night completely dark and no streetlights on the road, suddenly encountering a woman bleeding from her seven orifices, anyone would be terrified.
The man holding Huang Xiaodong was curious about what kind of beautiful woman had made his companions so entranced that they couldn’t move.
He quickly walked over and grabbed Jiang Ning’s shoulder, turning her around.
As soon as he saw Jiang Ning’s face, he fainted.
Jiang Ning: “…”
Oh, another one even less brave.
‘Thud, thud,’ the sound of heavy objects falling to the ground echoed again as the other two men also fainted from fright.
Jiang Ning took out some silver needles and quickly pricked herself to stop the bleeding. Then she crouched down to examine the three men.
In this era, the crime of hooliganism could lead to severe punishment, but these thugs often took advantage of the difficulty in catching them to act recklessly. She had a deep hatred for such scoundrels, who probably had committed numerous crimes.
However, she had a permanent solution for dealing with such hooligans.
She took out her silver needles and without hesitation, swiftly pricked their lower regions, effectively incapacitating the three men. Only then did she turn to look at Huang Xiaodong.
Huang Xiaodong was completely dumbfounded by Jiang Ning’s actions.
He had been desperate, thinking there was no way Jiang Ning could escape, but she had pulled off such a stunt, scaring the three men into fainting.
And she hadn’t hesitated for a moment to incapacitate them… permanently.
As he watched Jiang Ning approach him step by step, Huang Xiaodong swallowed hard. He wondered if she was going to incapacitate him too.
With her face covered in blood, it was no wonder the three men had fainted. Even Huang Xiaodong, seeing her like this in the middle of the night, felt his heart pounding in fear.
Thinking she was about to incapacitate him, he used his unbroken hand to crawl backward, stammering, “You… you… don’t come closer.”
Jiang Ning rolled her eyes at him, then crouched down, grabbed his broken arm, and without hesitation, twisted and snapped it back into place with a couple of ‘cracks.’
“Ow—”
Huang Xiaodong yelped, then looked down to see his arm had been reset.
Jiang Ning let go of his hand, saying, “The rest are just minor injuries. You can handle them yourself.”
Jiang Ning stood up and took out a handkerchief to wipe the blood off her face. She had deliberately pricked herself to make it look convincing; otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to scare those three thugs.
“Jiang Ning!”
A deep, resonant voice called out from a distance.
Jiang Ning turned around, and the man came running straight towards her. When he saw the blood stains on her, his heart started racing in panic.
Shen Mo thought Jiang Ning was injured and didn’t dare to touch or move her.
He hurriedly said, “Are you hurt? Let me take you to the medical center at the camp.”
Jiang Ning reassured him, “I’m fine, I’m not injured.”
“How can you be fine? You’re covered in blood,” Shen Mo didn’t believe her and kept checking her body for wounds. Even though he could see in the dark, he couldn’t find any injuries on Jiang Ning.
Jiang Ning pointed to the ground, “This blood is from me scaring them.”
Shen Mo followed her finger and looked down, seeing the three men lying on the ground.
His face immediately turned grim. In such a remote area, seeing a girl with four men, it was hard not to jump to conclusions.
Jiang Ning explained the whole situation to ease his worries, and Shen Mo’s tense body gradually relaxed. He suddenly reached out with a large hand and pulled the girl into his arms.
Although his wife had some amazing skills, like pricking herself to bleed from her seven orifices, which he had never seen before, if she didn’t have this skill, the consequences would be unimaginable.
