Su Ce was silent for a moment.
Then he walked up to Yang Han, squatted down, and asked, “Senior, can I touch it?”
To be honest, he didn’t quite believe that it would actually be hard. Moreover, the embryo shouldn’t be able to be touched at all after just a few days!
Yang Han nodded, he also hoped it was an illusion.
It would be too bad to find out that it was a stone after getting ready to have a baby. Although he did not believe that Ka Mai’s medical skills would make a wrong diagnosis.
Su Ce touched it.
What can I say… Sure enough, I touched something hard on senior’s abdomen, but it seemed to be fixed by something and would not move due to the touch.
Could it really be a stone?
Not that…
Ah Er Sen looked at the two females who were doubting one thing and the other, and gave the answer, “…Ah Han, it’s not a stone.” After a pause, he added, “Our children are probably born from eggs.”
In an instant, all eyes were swept towards Ah Er Sen.
Tan Tu has been a father for more than two years, and he doesn’t know anything.
Ah Er Sen looked at everyone’s surprised eyes and said calmly, “My beast form is a snake. Of course, the child may be born from an egg or from a fetus.”
Tan Tu suddenly realized, “Ah, that’s true.”
…For a moment, Su Ce and Yang Han didn’t know what words to use to describe their current mood.
Yang Han glanced at Su Ce and sighed, “Ah Ce, I thought I would just give birth to children, but I didn’t expect that I would actually give birth to eggs.” He said this in Chinese – even though he had been speaking in orc language since and have never done this again since becoming fluent.
Su Ce’s mood was not as calm as it seemed. He nodded, “…Senior, let’s listen to what Ah Er Sen said.” It should be more than that. He glanced at his partner and Tan Tu helplessly. This was too unbelievable… But forget it, that’s his personality, isn’t it?
When everyone’s attention focused on Ah Er Sen again, he was still very calm, “After I married Ah Han, I went to Ka Mai to inquire.”
Su Ce hesitated, “…What did you ask about?”
Ah Er Sen replied, “All the possibilities and reactions of Ah Han’s pregnancy in the future.”
Su Ce was speechless.
Should he praise Ah Er Sen for taking precautions… How meticulously did he plan? He glanced at senior who was still struggling with “laying an egg”, and thought again, Ah Er Sen’s consideration should be very happy for senior…
Tan Tu suddenly seemed to be smart at this moment. He hugged Su Ce from behind, lowered his head and rubbed his ear and said, “Ah Ce, I care about you too.”
Su Ce smiled and heard a little grievance in Tan Tu’s tone. But he didn’t care about that. For him, although Tan Tu was not as comprehensive as Ah Er Sen, he gave him all the tenderness and consideration… The most important thing was that the sense of belonging and security that Tan Tu gave him was not even comparable.
After Yang Han accepted the fact that he was about to lay eggs, the whole family, including the few cubs that could only crawl around on the ground, began to actively prepare for the new life.
As for Su Ce, he didn’t know how long it would take for senior to lay the egg… But at least, from touching senior’s belly from time to time, he understood that senior had only one egg in his belly – which was a bit rare for a snake creature. However, Su Ce was also glad that senior was not really pregnant with more than ten or twenty babies…
Of course, precisely because it was just an egg, Yang Han would not be as painful as Su Ce at the time.
Yang Han also expressed that he was very satisfied with this. God knows that he didn’t want to be like his junior with a big belly and unable to do anything. Now he only needs to rest properly and not do too heavy farm work, and basically there will be no problems.
So much so that Yang Han could still work in the fields with Su Ce. Even if it was just pulling weeds and watering, he was indeed much better than Su Ce back then.
However, there are some not so good ones.
After all, when Su Ce was pregnant, even though it took a relatively long time, he was able to communicate with the child in his belly just like women on earth. This sense of integration of blood dissolving into the body – Yang Han, who had only a hard egg in his stomach, couldn’t understand it – he just didn’t have the mental preparation to experience it at the moment.
However, Ah Er Sen’s attentiveness was no less than that of Tan Tu.
He hunts as much daily food as possible to replenish his body, and a variety of fresh fruits and soft fur are also indispensable. Tan Tu did not hesitate to provide his own opinions as a reference, and at Su Ce’s request, he would also get some very detailed and rare good things when he went up the mountain…such as the calf meat of some wild beast cubs, animal cubs, etc.
And Su Ce shoulders the responsibility of taking care of his own children and watching Yang Han and telling him not to run around – maybe “pregnant mothers” always have some weird tendencies. Su Ce became indecisive and had many thoughts during pregnancy. In general, it’s not bad, and Yang Han has become very fond of going out for walks, as if he wants to make up for all the regrets of not making friends in the past two years due to adapting to the world and being bored at home . As if he is still trying to find the existence of “women” in this world.
He must be disappointed.
Su Ce had no choice. Yang Han’s sudden strong interest in the orc tribe could only be regarded by him as being emotionally sensitive during pregnancy. Therefore, he had not noticed the previous accumulation of knowledge that he was a female and pregnant. Panic spread out, and all he could do was to keep an eye on Yang Han, or at the worst, go out with him.
Ah Er Sen became very busy, because Yang Han’s pregnancy was different from Su Ce’s pregnancy. This one also had the problem of pregnancy.
For example, the egg in the stomach cannot grow easily…
So from the day they learned about this, there was a large pot of bone paste made from broken bones, mixed with cooked and diced fresh wild vegetables and mountain mushrooms on the dining table of the two families. Together, it tastes delicious and chewy. According to Ka Mai’s explanation, this is to provide the egg in the belly with the calcium needed to condense the shell.
Su Ce was greatly surprised by this, but after thinking about the biology-related knowledge he had learned in class, he almost understood the truth and encouraged his senior to eat more. But unlike Su Ce, who didn’t have much taboos about food, Yang Han was actually very picky about food… so much so that Ah Er Sen had to find other ways to make bone paste, otherwise, Yang Han would not be able to eat the necessary amount.
In this way, it seems that every adult has something to do, and the main job of the little ones is to cry as much as possible or be fools to ensure that Yang Han will stay at home because he feels sorry for these little nephews…
The egg in Yang Han’s belly has been growing.
Ah Er Sen and the Tan Tu family watched Yang Han’s belly getting bigger little by little, but in the end it was only slightly bulging, and did not stand up Su Ce. This made Su Ce very worried, but then he felt relieved when he remembered that the egg was not very big in the first place.
Time passed by in a hurry, and finally, six or seven months later, Yang Han suddenly became lazy.
After several days, Yang Han changed his usual behavior of wanting to run outside and began to sleep in bed. Even if he refused to get out of bed to eat, Ah Er Sen would not force himself. At every meal, he would put all the food that Yang Han needed in a wooden tray, bring it to the bedside, and feed him one bite at a time. Then he looked at Yang Han who had just finished eating and closed his eyes again, falling into a deep dream.
Su Ce was very worried about this state. He felt it was too abnormal. It wasn’t winter yet, and even if it was winter, it didn’t mean that you had to hibernate if you were pregnant with a snake orc’s egg!
After a few days, Yang Han became even more sleepy and couldn’t even scream. Even if you wanted to get him to eat, it would take a lot of effort to get him to stay awake for just a short while – and eat. Eat and fall asleep again.
Finally one evening, Yang Han frowned in his sleep, and his whole body started to rub on the bed like a snake.
Tan Tu was kicked out by Su Ce.
Because Yang Han had already begun to scratch his clothes, and his skin gradually turned pink, and some spots similar to snake scales appeared.
…It’s not like he’s going to turn into a snake!
Ah Er Sen reacted the fastest. He rushed out and quickly invited Ka Mai back!
When Ka Mai also entered the room, everyone else was kicked out except Ah Er Sen who was left behind.
Su Ce and Tan Tu were waiting outside with their children, but Rui Ensi was very calm. He had been with Ka Mai for a long time and had done a lot of homework.
When he saw the anxious look on Su Ce’s face, he said, “Ah Ce, don’t worry, Ah Han is fine.”
Su Ce’s eyes immediately drifted to him, “Rui Ensi, you know?”
Rui Ensi nodded, “I heard Ka Mai say that Ah Han is pregnant with Ah Er Sen’s egg, and snake scales will appear on his body, but this is just a reaction and a normal phenomenon.” After a pause, he added, “After giving birth, it will return to normal. Moreover, laying eggs is much faster than giving birth to children.”
As if to confirm what Rui Ensi said, as soon as he finished speaking, the closed door opened.
