Chapter 25: What Kind of Confession?
Qin Yingxia lowered her voice, “I guessed it would be Yang Dai.”
Jin Zhuo was interested and helped her unscrew the ice water, handing it to her. “It’s good that you could guess and be prepared.”
He was originally worried that Qin Yingxia’s temperament would make her calmly pretend nothing happened.
“Will you be sad?”
Qin Yingxia nodded slightly, “A little.”
After all, no one wants to be framed and slandered by their roommate…
She smiled faintly, her eyebrows and eyes like a painting, “But I’m not that sad anymore.”
Because Jin Zhuo was by her side.
Qin Yingxia didn’t expect Jin Zhuo to be following her Douyin account.
Now she was incredibly grateful that she hadn’t posted any abstract videos…
Jin Zhuo was already following her, so she had to carefully cultivate her beauty in the future.
Become a qualified vase.
Step by step, hook! Jin! Zhuo!
Qin Yingxia was still lost in her beautiful fantasy when someone called her name.
She woke up like from a dream and looked up to meet Gu Jin’s gaze.
“Qin Yingxia, please come with me, the counselor has something for you.”
Yu Zhizhi was awakened and yawned, “Why didn’t the counselor come to class, what does she want with Yingying?”
Gu Jin didn’t answer her question, but urged Qin Yingxia, “The counselor is quite anxious, hurry up, I’ll wait for you at the door.”
“Okay.” Qin Yingxia didn’t think much of it and followed Gu Jin out of the classroom.
Yu Zhizhi thought it was more and more strange, “It’s very, very strange…”
She grabbed her phone and followed them.
The lights in the corridor flickered, and the members of the Student Union’s Academic Department were checking the attendance of each class.
This was the first time Qin Yingxia had gone to the counselor’s office, and she didn’t know where it was.
Gu Jin led her from Building A to Building D, and she asked, “Where is the counselor’s office?”
“It’s in Building D, just turn a corner downstairs.”
“The stairs on this side of Building D are broken, you can hold my hand if you’re scared.”
Qin Yingxia didn’t reach for Gu Jin’s hand, but instead prepared to use her phone’s light. However, just as she was about to turn on the flashlight, her wrist was suddenly grabbed.
She was startled and screamed.
“Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, Qin Yingxia, calm down first, you can’t leave.” Gu Jin was still comforting her, but it was clearly he who had grabbed her wrist first.
Qin Yingxia was hurt by his grip and forcefully threw him off. “Let go of my hand.”
She didn’t look at Gu Jin again, and turned back without a word.
Gu Jin ran after her, “Qin Yingxia, what are you doing? The counselor is still waiting for us in her office.”
“Then tell the counselor that I’m dead.”
She really was about to be scared to death by Gu Jin just now.
Gu Jin hurriedly blocked her path, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I used the wrong method, I just… I like you so much!”
“I saw your videos in high school, I really liked you. After coming to Imperial University, I found out that you were Youxia, you can’t imagine how excited I was!”
“I prepared fireworks downstairs in Building D, just to confess to you.”
“I want the whole teaching building to witness our love!”
The whole time, only Gu Jin was burning, and it was unclear what he was burning for.
Qin Yingxia was a little embarrassed, wanting to say something, but was interrupted.
“Confession?”
A magnetic voice mixed with two light laughs came from behind.
Jin Zhuo’s half-body was hidden in the darkness, his military training jacket casually draped over his shoulders, his white T-shirt paired with green military trousers, the night wind blowing his clothes, revealing his smooth and sharp waistline.
Seeing this scene, all Qin Yingxia could think about was his waist size of 75.
Beauty is a curse!
Jin Zhuo’s gaze swept over Gu Jin, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes before returning to his usual nonchalant demeanor. He scoffed, “What confession?”
Gu Jin, of course, recognized the towering figure before him, Jin Zhuo from the Law School.
“Senior, hello!”
“You’re quite polite.” Jin Zhuo curled his lips slightly, then unceremoniously kicked the bucket of fireworks at Gu Jin’s feet. “Did you get this?”
Gu Jin didn’t dare answer directly, his heart pounding. “Senior, I was just setting off fireworks to chase someone… It shouldn’t be a big deal, right…?”
“Of course, it is a big deal.” Jin Zhuo’s eyes flickered, jealousy burning within him, but he still maintained a casual air. “If something happens, will you take full responsibility?”
Setting off fireworks in the teaching building, who are you trying to impress?!
Jin Zhuo was not happy!
Gu Jin cowered, “I… I don’t dare.”
He remembered that Jin Zhuo was good friends with the Student Union President, and his legs went weak. “Senior, I’ll leave right away, don’t report me…”
Jin Zhuo chuckled, leaning against the railing, his voice deliberately drawn out to unsettle him. “Take your cheesy fireworks and get lost.”
“Yes, yes!” Gu Jin was practically thanking his lucky stars, clutching his carefully chosen fireworks and sprinting away.
…
After Gu Jin left, the air returned to its tranquility.
Jin Zhuo chuckled softly, “Why didn’t you call out to me? Don’t you recognize me anymore?”
His laughter was intoxicating. For a moment, Qin Yingxia felt bold, wanting to embrace him under the cover of night.
“Jin Zhuo.”
Her beloved Jin Zhuo.
Jin Zhuo detected the slight softness in her voice. “What’s wrong? Did I scare you?”
“It wasn’t you who scared me, it was Gu Jin.” Qin Yingxia thought about how he had grabbed her wrist and felt a twinge of pain.
His face darkened. “How did he scare you?”
Qin Yingxia didn’t say anything. Jin Zhuo approached her, taking her hand without a word and leading her into the light. “Come here.”
He examined her from head to toe, his sharp eyes noticing her reddened wrist.
“Gu Jin did that?”
“Yeah… but he probably didn’t mean to. He was just afraid I’d run away and not hear his confession.”
Jin Zhuo laughed angrily, “That’s not malicious?”
How incredibly malicious!
“Qin Yingxia, I need to give you some legal knowledge,” Jin Zhuo said gently, patiently explaining to her. “Gu Jin’s actions just now constitute harassment. Moreover, his actions involved violence and coercion, violating your right to bodily autonomy. This constitutes sexual harassment.”
“Are you listening, huh?”
Qin Yingxia: “I’m listening, I’m listening!”
Jin Zhuo always made the situation seem serious. He wanted to nip things in the bud before they escalated.
Whether it was Yang Dai’s act of secretly taking photos and spreading rumors, or Gu Jin’s violent coercion.
He had to make Qin Yingxia understand and know how to fight back.
“Can I touch it?”
Jin Zhuo suddenly asked.
Qin Yingxia blinked in confusion, “What?”
He lifted his chin slightly, “Touch your hand, check your wrist.”
“Of course, you can!” She readily extended her hand. “Next time, you don’t need to ask me, you don’t need to ask me ever!”
“That won’t do,” Jin Zhuo chuckled, “We have to respect Little Qin Xuemei’s right to bodily autonomy, right?”
Qin Yingxia’s face flushed red, her voice soft, “Okay…”
He gently rubbed her wrist, making sure there was no damage to her tendons before he felt reassured. “Do you have any plans after evening self-study? Do you want to join us for some late-night snacks? Do you like grilled food?”
