The Day She Got Married, The Crazy Young General Cried His Eyes Red. Chapter 14

Chapter 14

Jin Ye arrived at the Huasheng Cinema. The newly released movie “Spring in the Small Building” starring popular actress Chen Xuan attracted a lot of people.

But strangely, there seemed to be some commotion.

Everyone was holding their tickets and arguing.

“Jin Ye! Over here.” Zhang Zhi Lin called out to her from the crowd.

Jin Ye was with her driver, Lao Zhang, but there were too many people, Lao Zhang was squeezed out.

“What happened?”

Zhang Zhi Lin said with some regret, “The projector in the cinema malfunctioned, the movie can’t be played, the staff are refunding tickets to everyone.”

“Ah?” Jin Ye was surprised.

“It’s still early, I’ll treat you to coffee.” Zhang Zhi Lin’s eyes shone, clear and excited.

Jin Ye felt a little sorry, but she didn’t want to hurt him, “I’m sorry, I can’t respond to you.”

Zhang Zhilin was stunned, the light in his eyes dimmed. “Why? You’re able to come out, I thought…”

“I’m here to make things clear. We’re not suitable.”

Not that she didn’t like him, but that they weren’t suitable. This was a tactful way of not wanting to make him too sad. Zhang Zhilin smiled, trying to appear relaxed. “It’s okay, we can still be friends.”

Jin Ye smiled back at him. “You’ll always be my good senior brother.”

Her smile was sweet, her unpainted face was beautiful, her eyes clear and moving. Zhang Zhilin felt a pang in his heart. “Is it because you have someone you like?”

Jin Ye didn’t want to give him hope. “Yes.”

“Hmm, I understand.” No wonder he had heard that male classmates who had given her love letters or confessed their feelings had been rejected by her. He had also taken a long time to muster up the courage. “I envy him.”

If he continued, it would be awkward. Jin Ye said, “I’m going now.”

The people in line were still trying to get refunds, and the scene was a bit out of control. The Huasheng Cinema had even called in security guards to maintain order.

Suddenly, Jin Ye froze. The soldiers escorted a fleeting figure, and he looked so familiar.

She shook her head, thinking she must have been mistaken. That guy should be at the hospital with Miss Ning.

Jin Ye was about to find Lao Zhang, but he had already been swept away by the crowd. Her sleeve was pulled, and she turned her head to see Shen’s face.

Then several riflemen came over, separating her from the crowd.

“Third Miss, come with me.”

Jin Ye was a little confused. She was almost pushed along. “What’s going on?”

Shen whispered mysteriously, “You’ll find out soon enough.”

They entered the cinema’s projection room, and the sight instantly went dark. But she could still vaguely see a person standing in the middle of the aisle, his long legs spread apart, his hands resting on his belt buckle, the glint of metal flashing.

Jin Ye’s heart skipped a beat. “How did you get here?”

Even in the dim light, she recognized him. She walked over and saw him pout. “You’re allowed to watch movies with young boys, but I’m not?”

It must be said that Jin Ye was a little surprised at this moment, but she held back the smile on her lips and didn’t show it. “You’re supposed to be with Miss Ning.”

“So you dare to go out with a young boy?” His voice seemed to hold a hint of anger.

It was like saying, “It’s okay for the officials to set fires, but the commoners can’t light lamps.”

But who could say anything to the big boss?

Jin Ye said, “He’s my senior brother. I came out to make things clear with him.”

“Have you made things clear?”

“Yes.”

The murderous aura on Wei Liangchen’s body subsided a little. “Come here.”

As soon as Jin Ye went over, he put his arm around her. “Like watching movies?”

“…Okay.”

“This young marshal is being exceptionally kind tonight. I’ll accompany you to watch one.”

They had never watched a movie together before.

Because it was not allowed.

Jin Ye thought of something. “So it wasn’t the machine that broke down, you booked the whole theater?”

“What do you think?” Wei Liangchen pulled her to sit in the middle of the front row. The hall, which could accommodate hundreds of people, was only for them two. No wonder everyone yearned for privilege, it was quite enjoyable.

The lights all went out.

A particularly bright beam projected onto the big screen in front. The black and white figures on the screen moved to the rhythm of the music.

Jin Ye felt a sense of unreality. She was actually watching a movie with Wei Liangchen?

“Are you happy silly?” Wei Liangchen smiled and pinched her cheek.

“It’s okay if you’re not at the hospital? Miss Ning will complain to you tomorrow.” Jin Ye slapped his hand away.

He wasn’t wearing a change of clothes, still in his military uniform. Jin Ye’s nose was keen, she didn’t smell any other messy smells, so she didn’t push him away.

“She’s asleep, she doesn’t know anything.” Wei Liangchen spread out his right hand, resting it on her shoulder.

He waved his left hand to the side, and Shen immediately pushed a small cart over. It had watermelon juice, fruit platters, butterfly cakes, silver thread rolls, and braised pork and glutinous rice cakes. Jin Ye thought he had changed careers and set up a stall on the street.

She was dumbfounded.

“What do you want to eat?” Wei Liangchen waved his hand again, and Shen disappeared as mysteriously as he had appeared. He was just missing saying “Enjoy your meal.”

Jin Ye looked at him. “Didn’t you eat?”

Wei Liangchen curled his lips. “I didn’t.” His gaze towards her was like a beast about to devour her.

Jin Ye’s heart sank, and she silently took the watermelon juice and took a sip. The unadulterated watermelon juice was quite sweet.

“Is it good?” He pulled her closer.

Jin Ye asked, “Why does the madam think so highly of Miss Ning?”

At the hospital, she was practically attentive, even ordering her son to take care of her.

Wei Liangchen didn’t hide it from her. “Because it’s also the intention of Old Song and the warlord. The Northeast and Southwest are developing rapidly, and they have their eyes on Huan Province. If they can’t destroy it, they can only form an alliance.”

“What about you? Do you want to form an alliance?”

Jin Ye wanted to say, what about Miss Ling? She’ll be back soon, don’t you want her anymore?

But there were two names between them that were taboo, and they couldn’t be mentioned lightly.

She wasn’t that bold yet, so she didn’t dare to ask.

Wei Liangchen didn’t answer. He took a sip of watermelon juice from her hand. “I’ve been gone for over a month, have you missed me, worried about me?”

Perhaps because of the darkness around them, Jin Ye felt that his voice was particularly gentle and pleasant, even a little sticky.

Seeing that she didn’t say anything, he pinched her waist. Jin Ye almost spilled the watermelon juice in her hand. “Itchy, itchy.”

Jin Ye was tickled and giggled.

“Do you want it?” He continued to tickle her three inches above her waist.

Jin Ye jumped away, her long, curled eyelashes fluttering like little fans, her unpainted face bright and pure, very alluring.

Wei Liangchen’s eyes darkened, he pulled her back and pressed her against his leg.

Their eyes met, and there was a hidden joy in them. Jin Ye looked at him quietly as he leaned in to kiss her.

“I still want to watch the movie.” She moved away slightly, her breath unsteady, her chest rising and falling.

“You watch yours.” His low, husky voice, amplified by the darkness, was clear and distinct.

He turned her head back, his gaze on her face like a leopard eyeing its prey. The small mole at the corner of his eye turned crimson, his breath hot and scorching her face. As he lowered his head slightly, their lips met.

Like a wildfire.

The sweater Jin Ye was wearing was thrown on the seat next to her. The buttons of her dress were unfastened, and the soft skin was white and alluring, like a blooming gardenia, just a gentle squeeze, and it would be filled with fragrance.

Jin Ye had absolutely no idea what the movie was about.

She couldn’t tell if it was the main character, the supporting character, or who, singing in a high-pitched, unintelligible voice.
