Chapter 111. Ragnarök (10) Elf Queen and Goddess of Fate

The area of the Elf Realm is no less than that of the Midgard World, but Ye Mo walked for another half a day and has already reached her destination. It seems that the remaining elves all live in a place very close to the Midgard World.

Anna’s response confirmed this: “Most of the Alfheim Realm is now a black scorched ruin, and only a very small area has been rebuilt.”

The humans in the Midgard realm only encountered three years of cold winter and a small amount of battlefield impact, while the elves, as medical reserve, faced a full three years of war, and the entire Elf Realm was severely destroyed.

In addition to wood energy, the elves also need other resources, such as Monster cores, weapons, boilers, and other materials. Even though the elves’ combat effectiveness is very weak, there are still some righteous elves who appear in the doomsday battlefield of Asgard without hesitation and die in a foreign land.

However, the elves can no longer fight against the remaining mountain giants and can only defend but not attack. At most, they go out to make some transactions with the people of Midgard. It is precisely because of this importance that Anna, an elf who used to only practice potions, took the initiative to shoulder this task.

It was the first time that Ye Mo saw the rows of elves’ tree houses, which were built in different parts of the green trees, but did not hinder the growth of the green trees. The largest tree house naturally belonged to the Elf Queen.

The Elf Queen was not inside the treehouse.

She was on the clearing in front of the treehouse, instructing elves over two meters tall in potion-making. The process involved tossing various ingredients into a cauldron, which would then undergo a series of magical transformations until a fresh potion emerged.

Unlike the young and beautiful other elves, the Elf Queen’s hair was completely white, and wrinkles appeared on her face and neck. She also had a green wooden scepter in her hand to help her walk.

This was an old queen, which meant that her life was about to come to an end and return to the embrace of nature.

After the Elf Queen handed over the responsibility of teaching young elves to another Elf Elder, Anna and Carl stepped forward at the same time, saluted the Queen, and introduced their guests to the Queen in Elf language.

Ye Mo followed closely and said, “Your Majesty, I am honored to be a guest in the Alfheim Realm.”

The Elf Queen said a sentence that is often said in the plot of many novels: “Traveler, you are finally here.”

Anna and Carl were surprised for only half a second, and then they showed a look of understanding.

     Ye Mo: “?”

     This is a bit magical.

The Elf Queen did not answer Ye Mo’s question immediately, but turned and walked in front. Anna blinked at Ye Mo, and the three followed the Queen and walked farther away from the tree house.

After walking for about three hours, a slight time crack appeared in the air, a bit like a mirage. In this time crack, Ye Mo appeared in Asgard picking up the giant hammer.

This is a bit embarrassing, a public execution.

The Elf Queen told Ye Mo seriously that the time crack might tear her apart, and she must hide all the time and remember not to be distracted, even in shock and fear.

     Ye Mo took note.

As they continued their journey, they ran into more and more time rifts, each one stronger and more concentrated than the last. Almost all of them were connected to Ye Mo. There were more and more scenes of public execution. What surprised her was that these time cracks also had some battle scenes that had never appeared before.

The Elf Queen even needed the help of Anna and Karl to escape safely.

After they passed a giant boulder, a female giant was lying in front of them. This divine giantess was in very bad shape, and the time rifts in the air were caused by her unstable divine power.

Because of the unstable divine power, the female giant seemed a little abnormal mentally. Although she had the same appearance, she had three contradictory expressions and auras.

The first one was like a charitable old man who was chattering; the second one was like a young girl, sunny and confident; the third one was like a terminally ill patient, sad to tears.

The Elf Queen asked Ye Mo not to go forward, and with the help of Karl and Anna, she escaped the time cracks, and introduced the identity of the female giant to Ye Mo – the goddess of fate.

“In the beginning, the world was a void, and in the mist, a chasm named Ginnungagap appeared…”

Seeing that Ye Mo didn’t show any surprise, the elven queen asked if she knew the creation myth.

Ye Mo replied honestly, “In Asgard, Queen Frigg told me. She also told me that Asgard doesn’t have the seed of Yggdrasil.”

“It’s the Queen, you are lucky to meet her.” The Elf Queen continued with a smile, “The ancestors of all things were Ymir and Audumbla[1]In Norse mythology, Auðumbla (Old Norse pronunciation: [ˈɔuðˌumblɑ]; also Auðhumla [ˈɔuðˌhumlɑ] and Auðumla [ˈɔuðˌumlɑ]) is a primeval cow.      “The power of the goddess of fate is time, which can see the short past, present, and future, but every time she peeks into the future, her soul energy will be consumed, and the predicted future can sometimes be changed, and the second prediction may be different. , the seed of Yggdrasil was given to Odin by the goddess of fate. “

Ye Mo: “Did the Goddess of Fate see me coming to the Elf Realm?”

     The Queen of Elf: “Yes.”

“After Odin cultivated the Nine Realms from Ymir’s corpse, it should have been a day of great joy. However, the black dragon Nidhogg, who ceaselessly gnawed at Yggdrasil, was born simultaneously with the Nine Realms. Upon Nidhogg’s[3]In Norse mythology, Níðhöggr or Níðhǫggr ([ˈniːðˌhɔɡːz̠]; lit. ’Níð Hewer’), often anglicized Nidhogg, is a worm (dragon) who gnaws at the roots of the world tree, … Continue reading emergence, the Norns became deeply troubled. From then on, they ceased divining the fates of others and focused solely on the World Tree, until the onset of Ragnarök.”

The reason why the goddess of fate is still alive is that the Vanir gods saved her at the cost of their lives. Now all the underwater palaces of the Vanir God Realm have been destroyed, and no gods are left.

“Since Ragnarok, the goddess of fate has predicted the future every once in a while, and what she saw was darkness. Her soul power became weaker and weaker, and the scenes of the past, present, and future made her mentally more and more unstable, until she called out the word “traveler” before Anna and the others went to the Midgard realm.”

Ye Mo: “So what should I do?”

It was no longer the Elven Queen who responded. But the Goddess of Fate, her illness miraculously stabilized. She looked straight at Ye Mo with crazy eyes: “The last root of Yggdrasil is at the border between the Ice Kingdom and the Fire Kingdom. The black dragon Nidhogg is also there, and the seed is there too. Plant it in my corpse. It’s the world’s last hope.”

     “Thank you, traveler.”

This is the last sentence left by the goddess of fate Norn in the world she loves.

The moment she closed her eyes, time cracks came all over the place. The crack was one of the dozens of most memorable things in her memory for hundreds of thousands of years, from birth to finding a magical seed in the Ginnungagap…

Anna and Karl struggled to save the old elf queen, it was only after Ye Mo’s interruption that she princess-carried the over three-meter-tall elf queen into her arms.

The time crack lasted for 24 hours before it stopped, and Ye Mo put down the Elf Queen from her arms.

It was at this moment that the Elf Queen , Anna and Karl looked at Ye Mo with a new respect, no longer because of the Fate Goddess, but because of Ye Mo’s personal abilities. It was clear that she was far more than just a Midgard person.

Ye Mo bowed to the body of the Goddess of Fate, Norn. Before putting her body into the space.

……

There is no time difference between the Elf World and the Midgard World. It has been a long time since the sun was last seen, and the sky suddenly darkened. However, there is no harassment from the mountain giants here, so a bonfire can be lit.

The Elf Queen received the distinguished guest with the highest courtesy. A group of elves sang and danced joyfully, their voices were lovely, and their dance was as beautiful as they were.

As for food, elves don’t eat meat, but that doesn’t mean they don’t know how to cook. In fact, the giants of the God Clan are all meat lovers, and the elves have a lot of seasonings that can change food.

The Elf Queen doesn’t mind Ye Mo eating a combination of meat and vegetables. Meat refers to the barbecue that Anna has smelled, and vegetables refer to the fruits that humans can eat directly, as well as some rare fruit wine.

Ye Mo hasn’t asked about the potion in the Elf Space yet. When she took the first sip of fruit wine, she heard the voice of the system——

What a fortunate day, It was as if the Goddess of Fates themselves had shown her this moment.
