Chapter 4: Space Upgrade, Ecological Space, Big Black Dog
After leaving the supermarket, she met with a real estate agent and listed both the house and the shop for sale.
Then she went to the warehouse. It was already noon, and she passed by the best dumpling shop in town. She queued up and bought all the best-selling varieties: pan-fried buns, pork buns, chive pockets, hot soy milk, fried dough sticks, savory pancakes, and seaweed rolls, among other pastries and buns.
She sat inside the shop, ate and drank her fill before leaving. Not wasting mealtime, she ordered from several five-star hotels and restaurants, having their signature dishes delivered to the warehouse.
The following hours saw four vendors delivering their goods to the warehouse.
After they left, facing the overstuffed space of more than 200 square meters filled with goods, Xie Zhizhi’s head was spinning.
“How long will it take to pack all of this?”
Could she use her mind to collect everything?
Staring at the vegetables, she tried using the method she had set, focusing on the fresh carrots on the floor without blinking.
Two seconds later, the carrots disappeared!
At the same time, she could sense that a carrot had appeared in one of the warehouse’s storage boxes. As long as she wanted, she could control every corner of the warehouse. This brought her a sense of secret joy.
“This method really works!”
The spatial usage she set was once again spot on!
She then began collecting the supplies on the ground in batches, her control over the mind usage becoming more and more proficient. The chickens were left to be collected last.
By the time the warehouse was filled with 1,000 boxes, the space had upgraded!
After a minute, the upgrade was complete, and she could enter.
Xie Zhizhi paused her actions, checked the time, and entered the space.
A flash of white light passed. She raised her hand to block it, then opened her eyes again.
The neatly arranged rows of shelves were now filled with many modern items, food and drinks, a dazzling array of varieties.
A strange sense of safety and satisfaction filled her heart.
After the upgrade, she could sense that the warehouse had expanded. There were now 50 more rows of empty shelves.
Amazing, truly amazing!
Her eyes scanned the space, and her gaze stopped at the left side. The once empty wall where the shelves were placed now had a large white arched door.
She walked over, grasped the handle, and opened the door with a hopeful look on her face…
“Wang!”
Before she knew it, she was greeted by a large, shiny black dog, which knocked her down to the ground.
The dog, with its meaty paws on her shoulders like a hug, nuzzled its head against her face, its soft fur brushing against her arm.
This time, it was her turn to scream, almost losing her composure.
“Whoa! Who are you?”
The big black dog seemed to realize it was too rough, quickly getting up. It tried to stretch out its paw to help her, but the structure of its paw didn’t allow for that!
“Wang!” Still excited, it wagged its tail furiously, its round eyes looking at her before turning to show her the scene outside the arched door.
Xie Zhizhi quickly got up and understood its meaning. She blinked curiously, “You want me to go in?”
The big black dog nodded.
She was filled with wonder, walking along with a smile, asking, “You can understand me? You can understand what I mean?”
“Wang!” The big black dog happily followed her and responded.
Thus, she was led by the four-legged little creature on a tour of the area outside the arched door.
The space outside the warehouse stretched far into the distance, about the size of a commercial district. It seemed endless and difficult to judge.
In the distance, there were small hills, with a winding path leading to a small, two-story cottage of about 100 square meters, designed in a rustic style. To the left of the path was a clear, bottomless creek, shrouded in mist, giving off a celestial aura. Could this be the spiritual spring?
On the right side of the path was a vast field of fertile land, with a clear blue sky above.
“How beautiful.”
It was breathtaking.
The space wasn’t large, but the air was fresh, comfortable, and pleasant. Aside from the dog, there was no other life, just a peaceful, tranquil existence.
Everything here was what she had imagined, except for the dog—this had all come true!
“Little black dog, you stay here, I have to go,” Xie Zhizhi squatted down and petted its head. The rest of the questions could wait for later, as she needed to prepare the materials quickly. There was a constant sense of urgency in her heart.
Waving her hand, she turned and left the space.
“Wang!” The big black dog watched her disappearing figure with a look of joyful excitement in its dark round eyes.
Aw, master, look at Big Black!
…
Outside the space, Xie Zhizhi quickly collected the remaining daily necessities, ingredients, and noodles, placing everything that wouldn’t fit in the warehouse’s boxes inside the small cottage in the ecological space.
She released the live chickens, letting them roam freely in the fields.
