Chapter 23: Did You Bring Me To Hong Kong City Just To Leave Me Alone?
First, let’s figure out what’s going on.
Shen Muyan was quite aware. Although she had a good impression of Qin Yanzhou, she wasn’t so foolish as to lose herself.
Their First Meeting
Victoria Harbour, the Chen Hao Cruise Ship.
Shen Muyan, a romantic Victoria Harbour dinner, chatting about something particularly enjoyable.
Especially at night, the neon lights on both sides of the harbor were flickering and mysterious, reflected in the sparkling waves. If you were lucky, the vast expanse of the sky would be adorned with dazzling stars.
——
Qin Yanzhou had just arrived at the villa when he was caught up in urgent business, rushing to attend to it until noon.
After finishing, he called Shen Muyan.
“Qin Xian, you’ve arrived in Hong Kong. Are you free? I’m in the mood for something exciting.” Even without seeing his face, she could guess the playful tone of his voice.
Her eyebrows curved, her eyes sparkling with anticipation, waiting for his call.
“Yeah, I’m at the villa. I’ve been dealing with a few things continuously, haven’t had a break. My voice is a little tired.” He spoke languidly, but Shen Muyan caught the tiredness in his voice.
“Qin Xian, you seem very busy and tired. Are you still coming tonight?”
She was conflicted, hesitant.
Qin Yanzhou didn’t elaborate, walking to the edge of the balcony, lifting a still warm cup of tea and taking a sip.
Shen Muyan leaned against the soft cushion, poking the plush toy in her arms, muttering softly:
“Qin Xian, you’re so tired.”
“Rest today.”
She figured Qin Yanzhou must have been busy for a long time, then a long flight, exhausting…
And then he would spend his energy accompanying her, it must be a difficult thing to do.
Qin Yanzhou could hear Shen Muyan’s hesitation.
“This girl is quite considerate of others.”
“Silly, if you’re sold to someone else, you’ll still help them count the money.”
Qin Yanzhou’s words were full of teasing, the curve of his lips gradually deepening. He continued, “Did you bring me to Hong Kong just to leave me alone?”
Shen Muyan couldn’t resist this cunning old fox.
At his words, her cheeks inexplicably flushed.
“What do you mean, ‘brought you here’?”
“It was a willing exchange.”
“Qin Xian, you’re slandering me. I’m just being straightforward and stubborn.”
“Alright, let’s have dinner.”
“Okay.” Shen Muyan replied, sending him the address.
The crescent moon hung quietly in the ink-black sky, accompanied by twinkling stars, the sparkling waves, the luxurious cruise ship docked at the shore. The waiters in their tuxedo stood on both sides, waiting for the esteemed guests.
“Sister, are there any other instructions?”
Shen Muyan arrived at the cruise ship first. After greeting the manager, she stepped onto the deck. The night was clear and bright, a gentle breeze blowing.
“Move those red roses. I think the roses and candles will make the picture too obvious, and it will backfire.”
“Okay.”
Half an hour later, Qin Yanzhou had arrived at the shore. Without waiting for Shen Muyan to send him a message, he was already standing on the deck, looking at her.
“Qin Xian.” She came down from the cruise ship’s open-air staircase, her morning attire, a pure and alluring cream-colored halter dress, swaying slightly in the gentle breeze.
Her long, slightly curled hair was tied in a lazy French side braid, decorated with a few hair clips. Her skin was fair and beautiful, her features delicate and charming.
This was all part of Qin Yanzhou’s circle.
Her delicate, exquisite face overflowed with laughter, and her dimples, deep and charming. Qin Yanzhou’s pupils dilated, his voice calm and collected.
“The wind on the deck is quite refreshing.”
He noticed the warm, dreamy decoration of the cruise ship, the cheerful atmosphere, the name “Chen Hao”, which must have a special meaning.
“Hong Kong’s peak is even more annoying than Shanghai.” Shen Muyan muttered softly. The chefs, one after another, brought out the dishes, all with their heads down, not daring to look closely.
This was the first time Sister had actively invited a man for dinner, and the man seemed quite simple.
Next to Qin Yanzhou was a bottle of red wine that Shen Muyan had specially taken from the Shen Qing wine cellar, while next to him was freshly squeezed grape juice.
Qin Yanzhou poured the red wine from the decanter, Shen Muyan’s bright eyes fixed on the wine glass.
“I can’t drink much.” Shen Muyan was a little disappointed. She and her brother were twins, but their drinking capacities were vastly different.
But in a flash, she smiled again, as if she was trying to convince herself: “I can try.”
“Heh.” Qin Yanzhou only poured a little for her. “A few sips should do the trick. You shouldn’t get drunk. Your drinking capacity can’t be that bad.”
“Thank you, Xian.” She took the wine glass. Before she could take a sip, the dishes were brought out, fresh and delicious. She specially asked the chef to prepare them in the Shanghai style. Seeing this, Qin Yanzhou seemed quite satisfied.
“When you’re here, you’ll restrain yourself from eating.”
“Did you even pick the place?”
“I gained two pounds in Shanghai.” Shen Muyan pouted, weighing herself in her heart. Fortunately, she was on vacation in Shanghai, otherwise she would have gained even more weight.
“Two pounds, two pounds, what’s that?”
Qin Yanzhou shook his head, not coming over.
