Chapter 12 Welcome to “Bath Cafe Hot”! Part 2

“Everyone, we’re serving drinks. What would you like to drink?”

A menu is handed to the customers relaxing at the table after a bath.

They order fruit juice, tea, etc.

Then one of the customers asks me.

“What do you recommend, young lady?”

“Coffee milk or fruit milk. It’s perfect after a bath.”

“Coffee milk? Fruit milk?”

“Milk mixed with coffee or fruit.”

“Wow.”

After hearing what I said, several customers chose coffee milk and fruit milk.

They had never tried coffee or fruit with milk before, so they were hesitant at first. But…

“The unique sweetness of milk is mild!”

“The sweetness and bitterness are just right.”

“It’s my first time drinking it, but it’s delicious.”

They immediately noticed how delicious it was and gulped it down.

After a bath, cold coffee milk or fruit milk is the best. I accept no objections.

I place the standard dishes that our cafe is proud of on the table where they are sitting, one after the other.

Then, the group, who were relaxing at the table, started to panic.

“Wait a moment. I hardly brought any money with me, so I can’t pay that much…”

“You don’t have to pay this time. You came at our request.”

“Ah, are you sure?”

I nod at his words.

They only came because I suggested it, and they helped us a lot in defeating the slime, so I’m also giving them a token of my gratitude. The cafe is not short of money, and I had no intention of making them pay in the first place.

Above all, I’d be happy if they could understand at least a little of the benefits of a bath.

This time, the meals served were the main dishes of the cafe.

First, stew. The roux, made from fresh milk from cows raised on the vast land of the Eudrais territory, is filled with potatoes, carrots, chicken, and other ingredients, making it a hearty dish.

Next was pizza. Our cafe’s “Teriyaki Mayo Pizza” is a rich dish made with teriyaki chicken from Eudrais and topped with mayonnaise that the owner made herself based on her memories of her past life.

Finally, the gratin. It was a piping hot gratin made with macaroni, chicken, and plenty of cheese, a specialty of the Eudrais territory.

As there were many people this time, we decided to place small plates in front of everyone and have each person take the amount they wanted to share.

Everyone cheered as they saw the delicious-smelling food in front of them.

 “That’s amazing. You’re using a lot of Eudrais specialties.”

“Yes, you have such delicious ingredients! It would be a waste not to use them.”

“That’s something to be proud of!”

They each took their own food and started eating.

“The stew warms up my cold body. It’s perfect for a cold day.”

“The gratin is hot and delicious too.”

“The fragrant smell of cheese is irresistible.”

“Mmm, what a rich pizza! I wonder what they use for the sauce?”

“It’s mayonnaise. It’s homemade.”

“Wow!”

I occasionally answer the customers’ words and watch their reactions. The response is great.

 As I continue to visit the customers’ tables…

“It’s delicious, Lydia-sama.”

“The pizza is the best. As expected of Lady Lydia-sama.”

“Lina and Luke are eating too?”

Lina and Luke were sitting at a table and savoring their pizza.

“Why are you guys eating among the customers?”

“Well, we were invited. They asked if we wanted to eat together.”

“I don’t turn down invitations.”

As they said that, the two continued eating. They’re both cafe staff, after all! Isn’t that a bad idea?

As I was thinking that, a married couple nudged me on the shoulder.

“You’re welcome to eat with us, too, young lady.”

“Since you’re here, why don’t you sit down?”

They called out to me, but I shook my head.

 “I’m the owner of the restaurant, so I have to treat my customers well.”

When I said that, they laughed at my words.

“You’re not taking any money, so you’re not treating me well! Everyone wants to eat with the girl who overcame the crisis together! Everyone!”

Hearing what he said, everyone who was eating called out at once.

“Don’t worry about the small details, let’s eat together!”

“It’s not good to be treated all the time!”

“It’s definitely more delicious if we eat together!”

“Hurry, hurry!”

Finally, I was pulled by the hand and made to sit on a chair.

“I-I get it! If you say so, I’ll eat! Don’t complain later.”

“Oh, no way!”

At their urging, I also put some food on my plate and started eating.

The dishes were piping hot, using ingredients from the Eudrais territory. Even though I made it myself, it tasted even better when shared with a group, and they finished it all in no time.

“You finished it all in no time~”

“By the way, there’s also a dessert after the meal”

“Wow. Young lady, that’s no good, I’ll get hooked”

When I offered them ice cream as dessert after the meal, they seemed to be completely hooked on the food at the cafe.

After finishing all the food, it was time for them to go home.

“Bath Cafe Hot looks forward to seeing you again.”

When I waved, they said “We’ll come again,” “Thanks for the meal,” and “I’ll spread the word,” and left.

First-time customers. Their faces were surprised and happy at the bath, food and hospitality.

I was filled with an indescribable sense of accomplishment.

Today was difficult, with unexpected problems… but I feel like we’ve finally made it as “Bath Cafe Hot.”

 I had a hunch that today’s events would lead to a successful Bath Café.

Things would definitely go well from now on, I told myself.

I should thank Lina and Luke for helping with the unexpected guests. And as a reward for myself for all my hard work…

“Okay, let’s go take a bath!”

I’ll reward myself for all my hard work with a good bath.
