Chapter 65: The Playful Su Jian

After coming to a decision, Shen Yunhe suddenly felt much lighter, patiently coaxing her.

“What do you want to play? I’ll stay with you as long as you’re happy.”

“But I don’t know what’s fun,” Su Jian said, like a newborn baby full of curiosity about everything. Shen Yunhe thought about the amusement park they had visited last time.

“How about I take you to the amusement park? Would you like that?”

“The amusement park? What kind of place is that?”

Su Jian looked at him, puzzled. Shen Yunhe took her hand and started walking toward the car.

“You’ll see when we get there. Come on, follow me!”

In the car, Su Jian’s curious eyes were all over the place, touching everything here and there, never staying still. She even stood up from her seat to reach for the toys in the back row. Shen Yunhe was so startled that he quickly stopped the car.

“What are you doing? It’s dangerous to stand up like that, don’t you know?”

Su Jian pointed to the toy panda in the back seat with a pitiful expression.

“Why are you yelling? I just want that! It looks so cute!”

Shen Yunhe glanced back and saw the toy panda his daughter had left behind. He stretched out his arm, grabbed it, and handed it to her, fastening her seatbelt again.

“Sit properly and don’t move around anymore. Your daughter is much better behaved than you.”

Su Jian took the toy obediently and sat quietly, playing with it. She stopped moving around, and Shen Yunhe let out a sigh of relief before continuing to drive.

When they arrived at the amusement park, Shen Yunhe parked the car and helped Su Jian out. Since it was Monday, the amusement park was almost empty and very quiet. As soon as Su Jian got out of the car, she ran excitedly toward the entrance, and Shen Yunhe quickly followed her.

“Slow down!”

At the entrance, the guard stopped her and told her to buy a ticket. Su Jian turned around and shouted loudly to Shen Yunhe:

“Did you hear? They told you to buy tickets, hurry up!”

“I heard!” Shen Yunhe walked up to the ticket window and bought two tickets, then took her hand to enter.

“Let’s go!”

As soon as Su Jian entered, she completely let loose, running straight for the carousel.

“I want to ride that, it looks so fun!”

Su Jian sat on the carousel, gripping the rail with both hands, leaning back happily and laughing like a child. Shen Yunhe, worried, called out:

“Sit properly, don’t fall off!”

“It’s fine, I won’t fall!”

Su Jian stood up from the carousel, grabbing the rail with one hand and extending the other, shouting joyfully:

“Wow, this is so much fun! Hahaha…”

“Sit down properly, be careful!”

Shen Yunhe was afraid she might fall, so he hurriedly jumped up to reach her. But as soon as Su Jian saw him approaching, she quickly jumped off the carousel, causing Shen Yunhe’s heart to nearly stop.

“What are you doing? It’s dangerous to jump down like that!”

“Why do you care? I’m happy! I can do whatever I want! You can’t control me! Hmph!”

Su Jian pushed him away and ran off to the next attraction. Shen Yunhe’s heart was pounding wildly. He had really been frightened just now, terrified that Jiang Bianyue might get hurt.

Is this really Su Jian? She’s the complete opposite of Jiang Bianyue. In his memory, his wife, Jiang Bianyue, had always been gentle and quiet. She had never laughed this loudly or been so boisterous.

Su Jian was swinging on the swing set, happily swaying back and forth. She turned her head to look at the stunned Shen Yunhe.

“Hey! Come push me, hurry up!”

Shen Yunhe snapped out of his thoughts, quickly jumped off the carousel, and walked toward her. He gently pushed her from behind. Su Jian held onto the ropes of the swing, laughing joyfully.

“Push me higher, I want to go higher!”

“No, it’s too dangerous,” Shen Yunhe refused her request.

“Hmph!” Su Jian, upset, jumped off the swing. Shen Yunhe quickly stepped forward to catch her.

“Be careful!”

“I don’t need you to control me!” Su Jian ran ahead, pointing at the tall Ferris wheel.

“What’s that thing? It’s so tall!”

“That’s a Ferris wheel. Do you want to ride it?”

“Yes!”

Su Jian joyfully ran toward the Ferris wheel. Shen Yunhe tiredly followed behind. After watching Su Jian all morning, he felt more exhausted than when he watched his three children.

Forget it, just think of it as raising one more child.

Su Jian sat on the Ferris wheel, peering out of the window with curiosity. When they reached the highest point, she excitedly shouted. Shen Yunhe glanced at his watch. It was nearly 11:00, and the children would be finishing school soon.

“Su Jian, after the Ferris wheel, we won’t play anymore. The kids are about to finish school. We have to go pick them up!”

“What kids?” Su Jian tilted her head, looking confused.

Shen Yunhe patiently explained, “They are your children. Jiang Huaijin, Jiang Huaiyu, and Jiang Huirou. They’re the ones you love the most.”

Su Jian rebutted, “I don’t believe it. I’m not even married, how could I have children, let alone the ones I love the most? I’ll tell you, the person I love the most is myself!”

Shen Yunhe looked deeply at her, his heart aching.

“Please, don’t say things like that in front of the kids. They’ll be heartbroken. I beg you, don’t make them sad. They all love their mom.”

“I’m not their mom, what does it have to do with me?”

As the Ferris wheel descended, Su Jian opened the door and got off, eager to play somewhere else. Shen Yunhe grabbed her arm.

“Enough playing, it’s time to pick up the kids.”

Su Jian shook off his hand and ran a few steps ahead.

“I’m not going! I’m not done playing yet! You go by yourself!”

“No!” Shen Yunhe forcefully grabbed her and brought her back to the car. With her current state, he couldn’t trust leaving her out alone.

Su Jian angrily scratched and bit at him. “You bad guy, let go of me!”

Shen Yunhe’s arm had deep bite marks, but he barely noticed. He simply lifted her up and walked toward the car.

“Bad guy, help! Kidnapping me…”

Su Jian shouted for help, hitting him with her hands. Passersby turned to look, and a few righteous individuals stopped him.

“Who are you to her?”

Su Jian, seeing people around, eagerly sought help.

“Big brothers and sisters, he’s a bad guy! He’s been stalking me for a long time because he thinks I’m pretty and wants to take me as his wife! Please help, I’m a weak woman and can’t resist him!”

Shen Yunhe’s brows twitched as he listened. He endured it as best as he could and coldly scolded her, “Shut up!”

The people blocking him were about to call the police, but Shen Yunhe impatiently said:

“This is my child’s mother. We’re picking up the kids from school. If you don’t believe me, you can come with us.”

“Huh?”

When the crowd saw the righteous look on Shen Yunhe’s face, they believed him. However, the woman in his arms seemed crazy and out of control.

Shen Yunhe continued walking with her in his arms. Su Jian, hopeless, reached her hand back.

“No, help me, someone, please help…”

Once in the car, Su Jian kicked him hard, trying to jump out. But Shen Yunhe held her tightly, keeping her in his arms.

“Be good, stop messing around. If you keep acting out, we’ll be late to pick up the kids!”
