Ten minutes later, Gu Ming indeed arrived on time.

He was followed by two bodyguards.

“Zheng Ge!” The voice arrived before he did.

Qin Zheng and Chu Ning stood up upon hearing the commotion.

Qin Zheng spoke up.

“You all can leave now; no one will lose face while at my Marshal’s residence.”

The two bodyguards, hearing this, were relieved at heart and bowed to Qin Zheng before leaving.

Gu Ming’s gaze was full of resentment.

“They are my Gu family’s people, yet they listen to you more.”

Qin Zheng’s lips curved slightly upward.

“Who would have thought that Aunt Gu finds me more reliable than you.”

When leaving, he stole another glance at Chu Ning.

The three of them went to the dining hall.

“Let’s go to the medical room.” He spoke.

After saying that, he pulled Chu Ning and left.

It was a few steps away when Gu Ming came to his senses and hurried to follow the two.
