He walked into the interrogation room. As soon as Yang Aimei saw Director Sun, she frowned and immediately asked, “Uncle Sun, where’s my dad? Why didn’t he come?”

“Your dad’s in a meeting,” Sun replied.

The others gasped upon hearing this. Her father really was the deputy director!

“Uncle Sun, I’m going to sue that nasty girl. How dare she slap me!”

Sun Kangquan said with a heavy tone, “Aimei, before I came here, your dad specifically told me—this matter shouldn’t be blown out of proportion. Besides, you don’t seem to have any serious injuries. I just saw that girl’s face, half of it was swollen. You’re not at a loss here!”

“Uncle Sun, her face is not swollen because of me. She did it to herself! And my face hurts a lot! You don’t know how much force she used. I’ll be disfigured for sure!”

Sun Kangquan rubbed his forehead and smiled. “Aimei, I’ve watched you grow up. Why don’t you just go apologize? This thing will blow over. Alright?”

Yang Aimei widened her eyes in shock. “Uncle Sun, what are you saying?”

Sun Kangquan’s expression darkened, and he said sternly, “Comrade Yang Aimei, do you want your dad to lose face at the station?”

Yang Aimei’s eyes filled with tears, and gritting her teeth, she said, “Fine, I’ll apologize.”

Li Yuechan wiped her tears and said, “Did you hear that? She admitted it!”

Sun Kangquan frowned, confused. “What Captain Gu?”

Li Yuechan cried, “She kept saying that I’m dating Captain Gu, but I’ve told her that I’m not. Then she came over and slapped me!”

Sun Kangquan looked at Yang Aimei, “Wait, is there such a thing?”

Yang Aimei continued to curse, “You little brat, still talking back, claiming Captain Gu was after you, but you didn’t agree. Look at you—tsk! Captain Gu didn’t even look at you!”

Sun Kangquan forced a smile, trying to keep things calm. “Girl, what’s your relationship with Captain Gu?”

Li Yuechan scoffed internally. Just a moment ago, they were addressing her as “Comrade,” and now she was suddenly being referred to as “girl.”

“It’s just a friend. Captain Gu helped me out once, so we got to know each other,” she said nonchalantly. She then took out a small note from her pocket. “This is the number he gave me before he left. He said if there’s anything, just call. Today, I was hoping to get a satisfactory answer. If not, I’ll go to the police station every day and make a scene!”
