28. When pursuing someone, you need to go in sequence, step by step.
Very soft.
Open and blatant teasing.
At this moment, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Qin Zhaoyi was a bit debauched. The shirt was unbuttoned, leaving three buttons undone, resembling a haute couture gown worn by a female star about to walk the red carpet—revealing yet concealing.
What was even more audacious was that she wasn’t wearing any underwear.
Having laid in bed for a day and night after an illness, her face still had an abnormal paleness. Nevertheless, it was enough to attract attention.
She casually lay there, not having drunk a drop of alcohol but entering a slightly tipsy state.
Her cool and aloof face looked over casually yet provocatively, easily causing people to succumb.
“Why not give it a try?” Qin Zhaoyi lay there, seemingly in a lower position but not at a disadvantage. Instead, there was a sense of wilful composure, as if she was controlling every rhythm, leading Luo Yue to follow her.
Luo Yue’s breathing gradually became heavier.
The sounds of breathing intertwined, and the originally dull space became enchanting, adding a touch of sultriness.
“Sure about this?” Luo Yue raised an eyebrow.
Qin Zhaoyi sneered, “Are you afraid?”
“Afraid of what?” Luo Yue asked.
Qin Zhaoyi frowned, “What else could it mean?”
She was already lying here, with Luo Yue’s hand supporting on the side of her head, and the distance between the two was so close.
Close enough… that just a slight overstep by either person could turn it into zero distance.
“Love?” Luo Yue stared at her, her eyes playful, and even her tone carried a hint of playfulness. “Or… having sex?”
When the word “sex” came out of her mouth, Qin Zhaoyi’s toes inexplicably curled.
It was as if she heard something tingling.
In fact, in her first twenty-some years, she had never experienced it.
“You think… um…” Qin Zhaoyi was about to ask, but before she could finish her sentence, Luo Yue lifted her arm and pressed it on her shoulder. She felt a bit of pain and made a very soft sound, but that sound was completely different from her usual self, with a hint of allure.
Indescribable… bewitching.
Yes, bewitching.
In her entire life, Qin Zhaoyi never expected that she would make such a sound one day.
As someone who was dull to pain, usually only taking in a sharp breath when hurt, she would silently endure afterward.
But at this moment, she didn’t even have time to think about how that sound came out. She just heard Luo Yue say calmly, “Don’t beat around the bush.”
Qin Zhaoyi was stunned, and after a moment, she smiled, “Isn’t this what you love to do the most?”
Beating around the bush, giving evasive answers, changing the subject.
She had only been with Luo Yue for a few days, but she had already mastered all her techniques.
“But now, do you think it’s appropriate?” Luo Yue asked.
Qin Zhaoyi hesitated for a moment, then chuckled, “Not appropriate.”
“Then, do you dare?” Qin Zhaoyi licked her lips and asked, “Do it with me first, then fall in love with me.”
Unusually straightforward.
When saying these words, Qin Zhaoyi stared straight at her, as if trying to see through her inner thoughts.
After saying that, she deliberately raised her chest.
Although not large, it was quite perky.
Also counted as having beauty and capital.
After a while, Qin Zhaoyi felt the cold wind in the room blowing over her chest, making her uncomfortable as it mercilessly seeped through the skin gaps.
She awkwardly moved her body, while Luo Yue casually gave her chest a squeeze.
In that moment, Qin Zhaoyi stiffened, but quickly reacted, raising her arm to hook around Luo Yue’s neck.
However, Luo Yue looked at her coldly, serious and solemn.
It didn’t seem like she wanted to be intimate with her.
To be honest, when Luo Yue squeezed, it wasn’t gentle, even a bit rough, but Qin Zhaoyi didn’t say anything.
As Qin Zhaoyi lifted her waist to kiss Luo Yue, Luo Yue turned her face to the side, and Qin Zhaoyi’s lips just lightly brushed against her face.
They didn’t kiss, creating a somewhat awkward atmosphere.
Luo Yue raised her hand, pressing Qin Zhaoyi down.
The expensive sofa had strong elasticity; Qin Zhaoyi’s back was bounced up and then fell back down.
Like riding a roller coaster.
Qin Zhaoyi frowned and looked over. She saw that Luo Yue had already sat up but remained by the sofa, calmly buttoning up her(QZY) buttons.
One by one, and another one.
Buttoning up to the top one, she returned to her initial cold and distant demeanor.
The unbridled Qin Zhaoyi was gone, replaced by a refined and restrained appearance.
Seeing this, Qin Zhaoyi sat up, unsure of Luo Yue’s intentions.
Luo Yue, standing above, looked down at her.
After a long gaze, Qin Zhaoyi couldn’t hold back and asked first, “Are you rejecting me?”
Luo Yue’s backhand was behind her, her expression returning to the commonly seen gentleness, but there was no trace of a smile in her eyes, making it hard to guess what she was thinking.
With a gentle and slow voice, Luo Yue said, “It’s not an agreement anyway.”
“Why?” Qin Zhaoyi was puzzled. “Don’t you like me? Don’t want to be with me?”
Such a straightforward question could probably only be asked so uninhibitedly by Princess Qin.
If she liked it, she liked it, without any shyness.
If she wanted it, she wanted it, just like telling her.
Because she felt that she was also loved by Luo Yue.
There was a kind of secretive, strange intuition.
But unexpectedly, faced with her libertine request, Luo Yue actually refused.
Moreover, Qin Zhaoyi was willing to go along with her whims to seduce her.
Willing to yield.
You know, Miss Qin has always been the one who is indulged since childhood.
“Do you feel…” The words stopped abruptly as she realized she was treating the conversation in the same way as before. She took a turn in her words, attempting to express it in a way Qin Zhaoyi liked. “It’s not that I don’t want to.”
In other words, she wanted to.
But she still refused.
Qin Zhaoyi didn’t understand. “Why?”
Luo Yue stared at her. “Really don’t understand?”
Qin Zhaoyi sat up straight, arms propped on the sofa, looking up at her. “Should I understand?”
Luo Yue smiled. “I thought you would.”
Qin Zhaoyi frowned at the words, pursing her lips to conceal her embarrassment. “It’s my first time.”
“Qin Zhaoyi.” Suddenly, Luo Yue called her name, with a hint of tenderness, making Qin Zhaoyi’s heart tremble.
“Hmm?”
“No one taught you.” Luo Yue paused slightly. “Shouldn’t a person leave some room for themselves?”
“What is considered leaving room?” Qin Zhaoyi asked.
“Like this, if you encounter a bad person, you’ll be cheated until there’s nothing left.” Luo Yue said.
Qin Zhaoyi laughed. “Are you… worried about me?”
Luo Yue nodded slightly, then shook her head after a moment. “Not really.”
Qin Zhaoyi wanted to ask more, but Luo Yue answered first, “Just curious about what kind of soil can cultivate someone like you, who is so ignorant of worldly matters…”
For a moment, she couldn’t think of suitable adjectives. After a few seconds, Luo Yue said, “Delicate, flower.”
Qin Zhaoyi: “…”
Helpless, but not angry, Qin Zhaoyi couldn’t help but laugh before saying anything, “Hey.”
In a playful and careless tone, “Is your hobby giving people nicknames?”
Luo Yue took a step back, creating some distance between them. “Not really.”
“Do the kids in your class, with a teacher like you, not also like giving nicknames to their classmates?” Qin Zhaoyi said, “Teacher Luo, giving nicknames is also a form of bullying.”
Upon hearing the word “bullying,” Luo Yue’s face changed slightly, but only for a moment.
She quickly adjusted her mood. “The kids in my class are very well-behaved.”
“Besides,” Luo Yue looked at her, “this is probably just a… description, not exactly a nickname.”
“Little friend.” Qin Zhaoyi bit her tongue, feeling a bit numb. She felt a bit embarrassed saying these nicknames from her mouth but still forced herself to say, “Princess Qin, now there’s another, delicate flower.”
Qin Zhaoyi chuckled. “Is that how you see me?”
Perhaps the conversation had opened up, and Qin Zhaoyi became even more unrestrained.
Even after making a shameful request, she could still sit here and “negotiate” with Luo Yue after being rejected. It might also be because Luo Yue had given her a faint hope.
Luo Yue pretended to think, but her words had been carefully considered. “Not really. But it’s clear that you and I are not the same kind of person.”
“What kind of person is considered the same?” Qin Zhaoyi asked.
Luo Yue smiled gently. “You’re probably a princess who came to the countryside to experience life. When the time is up, the experience card disappears, and you leave. But I’ve lived here from childhood to adulthood. Everything I see on Moon Island is my whole world, and the rest of my life will also be here, experiencing life’s ups and downs. Moon Island is my everything.”
Luo Yue looked outside at the right time, where the waves were rolling endlessly, and the sky was ominously dark, indicating a long rainy season.
Just like countless springs she had experienced on Moon Island.
This spring was no different.
It wouldn’t change because of Qin Zhaoyi’s arrival.
Instead, Qin Zhaoyi had fallen ill repeatedly during this season.
The environment would never adapt to people; it was people who had to adapt to the environment.
“I run around Moon Island in the morning, walk to the seaside in the evening, teach here during the day, play chess and cards with the elderly on my days off, pick fruits in the orchard during the busy farming season, and occasionally help with collecting money at the seafood market.” Luo Yue’s voice was light, calmly narrating her life here. “This is my daily life. I grew up here, Moon Island is my origin, and it will also be my destination.”
The ordinary life narrated by her had a unique charm, akin to the scenes and life described by Tao Yuanming in “Peach Blossom Spring.” It was a poetic and distant dream for all the weary office workers wounded in the steel forest.
Opening the window revealed an endless sea, and closing it while sitting there brought in the sunlight. There was no need to think about what tomorrow would be like, only to care about the fruits and vegetables in the garden.
It was a very affectionate description, and Luo Yue’s tone was gentle enough. However, Qin Zhaoyi sensed a sense of oppression.
It was the pressure that came from choices.
Qin Zhaoyi was about to say something to urgently express her determination to be with Luo Yue when she heard Luo Yue continue, “But Miss Qin, your origin is not here, and your destination will not stop here. For Moon Island, you are just a passing traveler, coming and going, even walking in its embrace for a while, but in the end, you will board the ship to leave Moon Island and follow the path you came from.”
Luo Yue seemed to be speaking with a double meaning.
Walking in the embrace of Moon Island for a while was actually falling into the sea here, experiencing intimate contact.
And for Moon Island, she was just a passing traveler.
The same applied to Luo Yue.
A chance encounter, a passing by.
If that day she hadn’t fallen into the sea, hadn’t acted on impulse.
Then, she and Luo Yue might not have developed into what they were now.
Furthermore, if she had left Moon Island that day, Luo Yue would just be a passing traveler in her life.
There wouldn’t be this bond.
“Your distant place is far beyond here,” Luo Yue said. “So, what can I use to talk about love with you? And what else can I use to do with you?”
Qin Zhaoyi hesitated for a moment.
Although she understood the deeper meaning in Luo Yue’s words, she was unwilling to go along with her words. Instead, she replied somewhat angrily, “Use our bodies.”
Qin Zhaoyi looked up at her, and anyone who saw her slender and beautiful jawline would undoubtedly praise its beauty.
Qin Zhaoyi said, “With hands, with mouth, with tools.”
She staked her breath, “Use anything, it’s not like I won’t let you.”
Luo Yue: “…”
Never did Luo Yue expect Qin Zhaoyi to say such words. She was stunned for a few seconds and then chuckled, “And you claim it’s your first time?”
“Never eaten pork, but seen pigs run.” Qin Zhaoyi retorted.
“Okay,” Luo Yue crossed her arms, “Run one for me.”
Qin Zhaoyi: “…?”
The atmosphere became peculiar again, but it completely relaxed Qin Zhaoyi.
She felt like she had seen the real Luo Yue.
The one without pretense, not the Luo Yue who beat around the bush when talking to her.
Qin Zhaoyi ran her fingers through her hair. The long hair casually fell over her shoulder, appearing lazy and casual. “Give me a clear answer, do you want to be with me or not?”
Luo Yue glanced at her chest. “Are you chasing me?”
Qin Zhaoyi initially wanted to say no, but after some thought, she realized that her actions indeed resembled chasing, so she didn’t deny it. “Yes.”
Luo Yue looked at her. “Who chases people like this?”
“I even chased to the point of throwing myself into your arms.” Qin Zhaoyi felt there was nothing wrong with it. “Isn’t that a sign of deep love?”
Luo Yue: “…”
Luo Yue pressed her temple. “Do you have any misunderstandings about love?”
Qin Zhaoyi said, “…No ah.”
“Yes, you do.” Luo Yue said confidently.
After a long silence, Qin Zhaoyi asked, “Then you tell me, how should love be pursued?”
It had the demeanor of breaking all restraints.
Luo Yue stared at her without answering, her gaze somewhat profound.
Qin Zhaoyi, impatient, said, “You clearly like me, but you don’t say it. I’ve already undressed, and you buttoned me up again. Do you think I have no shame? I just like you. If you don’t want to be in a relationship with me, fine. But still…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Luo Yue suddenly bent down and kissed her incessant lips.
Blocking all the words.
Yet, it was still a kiss that only scratched the surface.
Luo Yue withdrew quickly.
Qin Zhaoyi, however, touched her lips and savored it, then licked them, “Does this mean you agreed?”
“Agreed to what?” Luo Yue asked back.
Qin Zhaoyi’s lips curled up unconsciously. “To be in a relationship with me.”
“We’ve only known each other for four days,” Luo Yue said. “Counting properly, it’s just four days, and you want to be in a relationship with me?”
Qin Zhaoyi said, “Some people know each other for more than ten years and don’t date, while others get married after knowing each other for a day. Can’t we be in a relationship after knowing each other for four days? I’m not asking you to marry me.”
After saying the last sentence, she felt it sounded wrong and quickly corrected herself, “If you want to marry, I’m also okay with it.”
Luo Yue frowned, “Same-sex marriage is not legal.”
“It is abroad,” Qin Zhaoyi said. “One of my friends told me.”
Luo Yue: “…”
Qin Zhaoyi didn’t hold back either, “My family is quite wealthy, but my parents are both in scientific research, and they don’t have as much money as I do.”
Luo Yue: “…?”
“Even if there is no legal protection for marriage,” Qin Zhaoyi said generously, “I can make a property notarization and give you half of my assets.”
Luo Yue’s expression became stiff.
Qin Zhaoyi asked, “Don’t want it?”
Luo Yue suddenly laughed. She lowered her head, covered her mouth, and used her fingertips to touch her jawline, a few strands of hair hanging down.
Qin Zhaoyi couldn’t help but stare.
Luo Yue’s beauty was the kind that needed no embellishment.
Her soft laughter echoed in Qin Zhaoyi’s ears, and Qin Zhaoyi instinctively pinched her earlobe, feeling a bit warm.
After a while, when Luo Yue had enough of laughing, she said, “Do you know what you’re like?”
Qin Zhaoyi collected her thoughts, realizing that she was still in the middle of “negotiating” with Luo Yue.
Qin Zhaoyi asked, “What?”
“A crazy dog wagging its tail toward its master,” Luo Yue said, “but hidden inside its body is… a wolf.”
Qin Zhaoyi: “…”
“What do you mean?” Qin Zhaoyi didn’t understand.
Luo Yue said slowly, “Princess Qin, love is not about being stubborn.”
“You are betting this stubbornness on me, risking your own body and money,” Luo Yue’s finger poked at Qin Zhaoyi’s shoulder. “The cost is a bit high.”
Qin Zhaoyi was about to argue, but she heard Luo Yue say in a low voice, “When pursuing someone, you need to go in sequence, step by step.”
She leaned in close to Qin Zhaoyi’s ear, and the warmth of her words fell directly onto Qin Zhaoyi’s ear.
Qin Zhaoyi’s ears trembled like a puppy’s ears, covered in a layer of tiny goosebumps.
Luo Yue, with a teasing smile, spoke in a voice that only the two of them could hear, “Especially when pursuing me.”
Qin Zhaoyi swallowed hard, feeling an electric shock throughout her body but dared not move.
Luo Yue’s hand landed on her slender neck, gently caressing with her fingertips, and she spoke again with a light tone, “When you’re not in a huff, we can… do it again.”
Puppy: Darn it.
TN:
Qin Zhaoyi is making me hyperventilate with her boldness!
