Xiao Yuyan knew that his wife might enjoy shopping, and since it wasn’t easy for her to come to the county town, he let her go explore.

“I promise to be good and obedient. Come on, just drop me off at the department store on the way.”  

Ye Suiwan smiled as she spoke.  

After making sure she had gone inside and waved at him, Xiao Yuyan strode off toward the textile factory.  

Meanwhile, Ye Suiwan entered the department store and went straight to the watch counter.  

“Hello, comrade. I’d like to buy a men’s watch.”  

She was dressed in a white short-sleeved shirt, beige trousers, and Warrior brand shoes. The short-sleeved shirt was a fashionable style in big cities.

“You’re welcome! I’m definitely older than you, just call me Sister Fang. If you ever need anything, come find me.”  

Ye Suiwan hadn’t expected the salesperson to be so friendly, but it was always good to make connections, especially with someone working at a department store.

Sister Fang asked with enthusiasm.  

“Sister Fang, do you have any sewing machines in stock?”

Ye Suiwan took out the money and ration tickets with practiced ease.  

She planned to store the sewing machine in her space and use it later.

Sister Fang quickly arranged for two workers to move the sewing machine. They were friendly and placed it exactly where Ye Suiwan requested.  

“Sister Fang, thank you for your help today! My husband will be here soon, so you can go back to work. I’ll come see you again when I have time!”

“Alright, do you want me to wait with you?”  

“No, no need!” How could she put the sewing machine into her space with someone watching?

“Nice to meet you both. I’m Ye Suiwan, your eldest brother’s newly married wife. We’re family now.”  

Ye Suiwan looked at the two young men. They were about 1.7 meters tall, slightly taller than her but they were quite thin. They needed to eat more.  

If she remembered correctly, the twins were 16 years old and would graduate from high school next year.
