Chapter 112: Destined
Chen Lu turned his head in surprise, only to see the girl burying her face in his shoulder, not daring to look at him.
“Are you serious?”
He asked in shock.
Is this for real?
Liang Zhirou’s legs were incredibly beautiful. He wouldn’t even dare to imagine her wearing black or white stockings.
Wait…
Chen Lu suddenly realized something was off.
I didn’t intentionally look at those two girls!
How could I possibly not notice them in my peripheral vision when they were walking towards me?
“I didn’t look,” he quickly denied.
Liang Zhirou lifted her head to look at him, then continued to hide her face.
He couldn’t understand her logic. She felt embarrassed looking at him, but not embarrassed burying her face in his body?
“You’re a pervert…” the girl mumbled.
“How am I?” Chen Lu felt wronged. It was clearly him who was being taken advantage of.
Liang Zhirou lightly bit Chen Lu’s arm, “Your smirk hasn’t gone away.”
Chen Lu finally realized he had been grinning the whole time. He cleared his throat and teased, “Well, I’m only a pervert to you.”
This tactic worked particularly well on this silly girl, expert confirmed.
Sure enough, Liang Zhirou continued to look at him, her beautiful eyes revealing a clear naivety, “Really… really?”
“Of course,” Chen Lu’s expression was serious. One might think he was talking about something grand and righteous.
“But are you serious?” He asked again.
Liang Zhirou was instantly overwhelmed with shame and remained silent.
How could he be so bad? Was he going to be satisfied only if she personally told him she would wear it for him?
No way, she would be mortified.
“Yes, yeah.” After a few seconds, the girl couldn’t bear to leave her boyfriend hanging and reluctantly agreed.
The smile that had just faded from Chen Lu’s face instantly returned. He joked, “I feel like you’re always promising me the moon, Liang Zhirou.”
They hadn’t even kissed yet, and they were already discussing this.
“I’m not,” Liang Zhirou pursed her lips, “I’m trying.”
“It’s fine, I like eating the moon.”
Chen Lu smiled, tightening his grip slightly, “Whenever it happens is fine, as long as it happens.”
Liang Zhirou softly hummed in agreement. She felt that Chen Lu was particularly good to her in this regard. Although he would occasionally make verbal advances, he never did anything she was uncomfortable with.
Ever since she had been so scared that she couldn’t stop taking deep breaths, Chen Lu had never made her feel scared again.
Lost in thought, she leaned her entire weight onto Chen Lu. After all, he would definitely hold her steady.
Liang Zhirou felt that she had persisted for so many years, just to meet him.
Oh no, to meet him again.
…
The next day.
Chen Lu lay on his bed in his bedroom, lazily watching the blue sky outside the window.
Even though it was summer vacation, and he would soon be unable to stay at school anymore, and he was about to leave his student life behind…
He still didn’t feel much of a sense of reality.
This had to do with his habit of planning everything in advance. He had prepared so thoroughly that he actually felt nothing when the time came.
After all, he had been working on this studio for a while now.
Just as Chen Lu was considering whether to go back to school and pack his things, Chen Mo suddenly burst through the door.
She slammed the door open with a bang, one might think she had worked for the FBI.
Chen Lu was startled, he sat up and looked at her with a speechless expression, “Are you crazy?”
Chen Mo hadn’t even had time to tie her ponytail. She was holding a bunch of fishing gear, with a bag of fish bait in her mouth, she mumbled incoherently, “Bro! Go fish (go fishing)!”
“You know you’re going to be a senior after summer break, right? And you have your final exams in a few days?”
Chen Mo spat the bag he was chewing on to the side, his expression disdainful. “Why didn’t you say that when you were staying up all night playing games with Mom every night during your summer break in sophomore year?”
“Who do you think was letting you out every night? Otherwise, how could you have been hanging out with your friends all the time?”
Before she could finish her sentence, Chen Lu had already put on his T-shirt and even took the things in her hand. “Let’s go fishing.”
“Alright!”
The siblings went to the living room and saw Chen Guanglin sitting on the sofa watching TV.
He was watching The Legend of the Condor Heroes again. Chen Lu remembered his dad watching it when he was little, and now he was taking girls home, but Chen Guanglin was still watching the same show.
Chen Lu could still sing the theme song, he didn’t know why his dad never got tired of watching it.
Maybe he did get tired of it, and after that, he would watch Bright Sword and Parents’ Love.
“Dad, where’s Mom?” Chen Lu asked. It was already eight o’clock in the morning, and there was no food at home, which meant Wang Xiaoxia wasn’t home.
Chen Guanglin yawned and said indifferently, “She went on a trip.”
Chen Mo blinked in confusion. “Why didn’t you go?”
“It was organized by her company. Why would I go?” Chen Guanglin replied with a blank expression.
“Don’t tell me you pissed Mom off and she took the company ladies on a trip out of anger?” Chen Mo laughed harder and harder, eventually she couldn’t stop smiling.
We’ve been professionally trained, we don’t usually laugh, unless we can’t help it.jpg
“Don’t talk nonsense!”
Chen Lu shook the fishing rod in his hand. “Come fishing with us.”
“You two go ahead. I’ll play some chess at the entrance of the community later.”
“Okay.”
After a while.
“It feels kind of pitiful that Dad is home alone.” Chen Mo sat in the passenger seat, stretching lazily.
Chen Lu glanced at her and said speechlessly, “You don’t know how they fight? It’s just a way of showing off their love.”
Hearing this, Chen Mo didn’t say anything else. She saw Chen Lu staring at his phone and asked impatiently,
“Why aren’t we going?”
Chen Lu smacked his lips and continued texting Liang Zhirou. “I’ll ask your sister-in-law if she wants to go fishing.”
Liang Zhirou would definitely come out if Chen Lu asked her, especially since she didn’t have a part-time job, so she immediately agreed.
After thinking for a while, Chen Lu decided to invite Lin Miaomiao, who was staying in Hangzhou for the summer, as well.
Otherwise, she would be alone in this strange city, and she would also be exploited by her unscrupulous boss.
Oh, the unscrupulous boss is actually me, never mind.
It’s just that Lin Miaomiao and Chen Mo together…
Chen Lu suddenly felt a headache. He couldn’t imagine what would happen if two top social phobics got together.
“Why aren’t we going yet?”
Seeing that her older brother had put down his phone but still wasn’t driving, Chen Mo couldn’t help but urge him again.
“Go to the back.” Chen Lu said in a deep voice.
Chen Mo turned her head abruptly, her long ponytail swaying. “Why?”
Chen Lu curled his lips. “Because we’re going to pick up your sister-in-law now.”
“I’m your real sister!”
“She’s going to be my future wife.”
“I’ve been calling you brother for so many years, don’t you have a conscience?”
“She’s going to call me husband in the future.”
“You…” Chen Mo was speechless. At least when her sister-in-law wasn’t around, she was still her brother’s little princess.
She comforted herself in her heart, obediently opened the car door and sat in the back.
What kind of world is this? Don’t single dogs deserve to live anymore!!
