Chapter 9: This Wine is Really Good
Twenty minutes later, a pink Rolls-Royce Phantom appeared at the entrance of Sheng Tang.
The car was a gift from Wen Dad for Wen Nian’s eighteenth birthday. When Wen Nian first saw the color, she had a big argument with her father, saying that this color didn’t match her inner qualities.
But women are always more honest with their bodies than with their mouths. Since getting this car, Wen Nian had never sat in her white Cayenne again.
However, her poor driver, an older man, had to endure this suffering.
The staff at Sheng Tang respectfully opened the car door as Wen Nian stepped out, holding a Chanel bag in one hand and wearing high heels, like a princess arriving.
Sheng Tang was the most famous nightclub in North City, the go-to place for indulgence.
In the past, because she was still in school, Wen Dad forbade Wen Nian from stepping into this place, and naturally, Wen Nian never dared to sneak in.
Yesterday was her first time, but she got too caught up in confessing her feelings, and it turned out the man wasn’t worthy. Now, she was here to have fun on her own.
What’s more, she had heard that the staff at Sheng Tang were all stunning, no matter their gender.
Of course, Wen Nian wasn’t planning to do anything reckless tonight.
Sheng Tang had 18 floors.
The first three floors were bars, for drinking and dancing. Floors 4 to 10 were for leisure, with card games, spas, and the like. Floors 11 to 14 were restaurants, offering various cuisines. The top floors, 15 to 18, were hotel-style suites for guests to stay in.
The two girls were led by the staff through a rotating door and down a dimly lit corridor, stopping in front of a huge metal carved door.
As the door slowly opened, the deafening music hit them instantly, and for a moment, both of them thought about running.
Ahead of them was a massive, open dance floor. In the center was a stage where three women, dressed in revealing outfits, danced an intense and sultry pole dance.
The people below danced freely…
The lights above rotated on the faces of men and women, creating a fervent atmosphere, making everyone feel the urge to join in.
Wen Nian thought she had exposed enough skin, but compared to the people here, she felt like she was still dressed modestly.
Jiang You hesitated and asked, “Are you sure you want to play here?”
Wen Nian swallowed hard. “Be bold! Don’t act like a woman!”
Jiang You: …
The tables on the first floor were arranged in a circle around the dance floor. The second and third floors had private rooms and booths. Wen Nian had made up her mind to create her own “fish pond” tonight, so she chose to stay on the first floor.
The two of them sat down, bracing themselves. A waiter handed over the drink menu, and Wen Nian scanned it. She didn’t recognize any of the drinks…
The waiter was speechless. These two girls looked so young, but one of them had an ID that showed she was of legal age, and the other said she didn’t have hers with her. But anyone who came to this place wasn’t ordinary, and the waiter didn’t dare offend them.
He thought for a moment and then suggested, “It’s probably your first time. How about trying two ‘Midnight Roses’? They have a low alcohol content and are good for beginners.”
Wen Nian felt insulted and asked Jiang You, “What do you want to drink?”
Jiang You replied, “Let’s just have this. It’s our first time here, we shouldn’t overdo it.”
Wen Nian raised an eyebrow. “I’ve already taken off my pants. Are you really just having this?”
With that, Wen Nian scanned the menu again, determined not to give up. With a wave of her hand, she ordered two “Lost Virginities.”
Jiang You: …
Wen Nian: “My heart is bleeding. I just want to drink, get drunk, and go wild.”
Jiang You: “Fine, if you want to go wild, I’ll follow you.”
While they waited for their drinks, Jiang You asked, “Why didn’t you call Qi Ye?”
Wen Nian replied, “He said he’s busy at home, playing games as a practice partner.”
Qi Ye came from a poor family. His father had gambling debts, his mother ran off with another man, and he had an aunt with a mental illness.
Since school, Qi Ye had worked various part-time jobs. Now, as he was about to enter college, he needed even more money, so he focused on earning it.
Fortunately, he was good at gaming and could make a decent income as a practice partner.
Jiang You understood and decided she would find time to visit Qi Ye. It seemed like his troublesome father had started acting up again.
The waiter returned with two “Lost Virginities,” served in pointed champagne glasses. The bottoms of the glasses were lined with pickled rose petals, transitioning from a deep red at the bottom to transparent at the top, with delicate bubbles. The edges were decorated with crushed sea salt and rose petals.
The two girls took a sip, expecting it to be harsh, but it was surprisingly sweet, with the fragrance of roses and the refreshing taste of fruit.
Jiang You was instantly hit by a wave of girlish excitement. Her face lit up, and she drank the whole glass!
Wen Nian looked at her in disgust and handed her glass to Jiang You. She then called over the waiter and ordered two of the strongest drinks on the menu.
She was here to drink, not to play games!
Jiang You was satisfied and took Wen Nian’s drink into her arms.
The atmosphere in the bar was already ambiguous, and the alcohol only made things more intense. After Wen Nian had two glasses, she started feeling hot all over.
Just then, a man approached her. He was wearing a shirt and glasses, looking elegant, with an air similar to Su Rui.
Wen Nian, feeling a rush of blood to her head, joined him on the dance floor.
Seeing this, Jiang You hesitated to drink any more, afraid they would both get too drunk and end up lost in North City.
But the wine was really good. She had drunk four glasses in a row.
It was sweet, fragrant, with a slight kick, and she felt like she was walking on clouds.
She didn’t know if it was the alcohol, but Jiang You suddenly felt very thirsty. But there was only wine on hand, and the more she drank, the thirstier she became. The more she drank, the drunker she got. The more she got drunk, the dizzier she felt.
No wonder people always say that alcohol can drown sorrow—after drinking, she truly felt no more worries, just floating.
Meanwhile, at a table not far from Jiang You, a man wearing a dark green silk shirt, with a handsome face and delicate features, watched with interest. His almond-shaped eyes were full of affection, and his thin lips curved into a playful smile.
The man picked up his drink and glanced at Jiang You, then at Wen Nian dancing in the middle of the floor. He stood up and walked toward the bathroom, seeking a quiet spot.
He dialed a phone number, and it was quickly answered.
“Hello.” A cold, distant male voice answered the phone, devoid of emotion.
“What’s up, Jin Ge? Are you at Sheng Tang?”
“Just some business.”
“Too bad, I saw your niece here at Sheng Tang, dancing close to a man!”
Fu Jin, who had been meeting clients, tightened his grip on the phone. “Who?”
“Who else? Wen Nian!”
Fu Jin exhaled in relief. “Keep an eye on her.”
Tang Yu joked, “I can’t keep up with her. There are two people now!”
“Who else?”
“I don’t know. Probably her friend, another young girl. She’s quite beautiful. She’s drunk a few glasses of ‘Lost Virginity,’ and a lot of men have their eyes on her.”
Fu Jin’s heart skipped a beat, and he quickly asked, “What does she look like?”
“She’s not quite 1.7 meters tall, black hair, wearing a white printed T-shirt and blue denim shorts. She has a great figure, her legs are so white and slender, if only I could…”
“Shut up!”
Tang Yu’s description was filled with desire and lust. In an instant, Fu Jin felt a fiery anger in his chest. That was exactly the outfit Jiang You was wearing today.
Tang Yu was startled. “What… what happened? Jin Ge, I…”
“Don’t get killed, just keep an eye on her.”
Fu Jin hung up the phone without waiting for a reply, got in his car, and headed straight for Sheng Tang.
Fu Jin gritted his teeth in fury. “Jiang You… very well.”
