Crazy Boss with a Sickly Obsession, Little Soft One Kissed Into a Stupor Chapter 57

Chapter 57: What If I Get Pregnant?

After sending the text, Jiang Yaoyao tossed her phone onto the table and dashed straight to the bathroom.

She didn’t even dare to look at the small piece of fabric she had taken off. With a swift motion, she tossed it into the trash can.

To cover her tracks, she even threw a few tissues on top, making sure it was completely buried.

Her body was sore and weak. She didn’t dare to soak in the bath for too long, so after quickly cleaning herself up, she wrapped a towel around herself and stepped out.

Thankfully, the film crew had given her the day off, so she didn’t have to drag her exhausted body to work and embarrass herself.

Picking up her phone, she was about to head to bed when she suddenly paused. Her cheeks, already flushed from the steamy bathroom, turned an even deeper shade of pink.

Lowering her gaze, she looked at her stomach—her beautiful little face instantly burned bright red.

Last night, she and Pei Heng… hadn’t used protection.

What if she got pregnant?

Panicking, she opened a food delivery app and ordered a box of emergency contraception, even paying extra for express delivery.

With her face still burning, she sluggishly made her way back to her bedroom, deliberately avoiding the unread message notifications popping up on WeChat.

Meanwhile, Pei Heng had returned with breakfast. Just as he stepped into the elevator, a delivery worker in a yellow uniform quickly squeezed in after him.

The worker was holding a transparent plastic bag, and through it, the large bold letters on the medication box were clearly visible.

Pei Heng’s sharp, indifferent gaze swept over the bag. The moment he registered the words on the packaging, his long brows furrowed slightly, and his piercing phoenix eyes darkened.

When the elevator doors opened again, the delivery worker turned to the tall man and gratefully said,

“Thank you so much, sir!”

“This saves me a trip.”

He was in a rush to complete another order, so without hesitation, he handed the bag with the medication over to Pei Heng and quickly left via another elevator.

Standing alone in the hallway, the towering man exuded an aura as cold and overwhelming as a winter storm.

He stared at the small box now resting in his hand, lost in thought.

A few moments later, a glimmer flickered in his deep, fox-like eyes.

He made a phone call. A few minutes later, his assistant disappeared into the elevator.

Pei Heng’s slender fingers tapped lightly against the electronic lock, then he rang the doorbell.

Soon, a soft, delicate voice drifted from inside.

“Hello! Just leave the delivery in the little basket at the door!”

The man outside remained silent, his long, dark lashes casting deep shadows over his eyes.

He held the box of pills between his fingers, unconsciously tapping it lightly.

The sound of the lock turning echoed in the quiet hallway. The door cracked open just a sliver, and a small, fair hand reached out, seemingly trying to grab the basket.

A shadow fell over her feet.

Jiang Yaoyao, thinking the delivery person was still there, started to lift her head—only for a box of pills to suddenly appear in the gap of the door.

Her pretty eyes curved into crescent moons as she reached out, her voice soft and sweet, dripping with warmth like a little kitten’s purr.

“Thank you~”

A deep, low voice responded, “No need to thank me.”

Jiang Yaoyao: “!!!”

However, in the next instant, the door was pulled open.

The man’s tall figure loomed over her, casting a large shadow that enveloped her completely.

Then, before she could react, her body suddenly felt light.

Pei Heng had lifted her up entirely.

The sound of the door closing echoed again. The strikingly handsome man lowered his gaze slightly, looking at the delicate beauty in his arms. His expression was serious, vastly different from the cold interrogation he had given her at the elevator earlier.

“Who is the medicine for?” he asked.

Jiang Yaoyao should have answered confidently, but for some reason, she suddenly felt guilty.

She bit her plump, reddened lips, which were slightly swollen with a berry-like hue.

Her pale, porcelain-like body was effortlessly held in the man’s arms, as if she was completely within his grasp.

Jiang Yaoyao glanced at the box of pills clutched in her hand and responded in a small, timid voice,

“For me.”

Pei Heng’s arm muscles tensed.

His expression darkened, and his Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed once. Only then did he set the person in his arms down onto the sofa, his voice hoarse and dangerously low.

“Why?”

Sitting on the couch, Jiang Yaoyao tilted her pretty little face up, looking at the man questioning her in a cold and firm tone. Her large, round eyes blinked rapidly.

She seemed embarrassed.

So embarrassed that she didn’t even know how to respond.

“You don’t want to have my child.”

Pei Heng’s voice was calm and indifferent, but for some reason, Jiang Yaoyao sensed something dangerous lurking beneath his words.

Her soft voice stumbled as she tried to sound confident, but the more she spoke, the guiltier she sounded.

“What kind of relationship do we even have? Why should I have your child…”

“What kind of relationship?”

The man’s sharp and handsome face showed no expression, but Jiang Yaoyao felt that his voice was bone-chilling, as if he was gritting his teeth in anger.

“What does Yaoyao think our relationship is?”

She pursed her soft, red lips, just about to speak.

But before she could, the man’s cool voice rang out again, deep and resonant, like the stillness of the night before a storm.

“Last night, when you were hugging my waist, crying with tears in your eyes and calling me ‘husband,’ you didn’t seem to think we had no relationship.”

Jiang Yaoyao’s words froze in her throat.

Pei Heng wasn’t finished. His sharp gaze locked onto her, his eyes like blades, burning with an intense heat as they slowly trailed over the thin fabric of her sleepwear.

“Who was it that clung so tightly to my waist?”

“Who was it that kept calling me ‘good brother’ over and over again?”

“Who was it that held onto her stomach, saying it was too full, saying she was going to burst?”

Jiang Yaoyao’s already flushed cheeks turned an even deeper shade of pink.

She tried to wriggle out of his grasp, but having already been tricked once at the elevator earlier, Pei Heng was fully prepared for her escape attempt. His long arms braced against the sofa, trapping her securely between them.

“Jiang Yaoyao—”

His cold and dangerous voice called out her full name.

Jiang Yaoyao stiffened, forcing herself to respond in the tiniest voice,

“Mm…”

Her soft, cottony tone trembled slightly at the end, sounding weak and completely lacking confidence.

“…W-What do you want…”
