Chapter 17: Take off your clothes
In the Undying Palace,
Mu Yunqing’s expression changed slightly when he heard Shen Wangchen’s words. He subconsciously defended Mo Lin, “Master, there might be some misunderstanding. Although my junior brother is solitary and doesn’t like socializing, he is definitely not from the Demon Realm. If he were from the Demon Realm, how could he have passed the Three Clear Stones of the Qian Yuan Sect?”
Shen Wangchen stood with his hands behind his back by the window. A gust of wind blew, lifting his snow-white hair and wide robes.
Mu Yunqing stood behind him, looking at his back, his mind momentarily dazed.
Master, he’s like a fairy who descended from the moon.
“Mu Yunqing.”
The next moment, Shen Wangchen’s cold voice brought him back to his senses. Mu Yunqing was startled, then a cold sweat broke out on his forehead, and he suddenly knelt down.
“Master! I…”
How could he, just now, have such a sudden thought about Master?
Thinking that Master was more beautiful than any woman in the world…
Such a desecration of Master, he was worthy of a thousand deaths.
Before Shen Wangchen could speak, Mu Yunqing took the punishment upon himself, “I have erred. I will go to the Cliff of Reflection in the back mountain to reflect on my mistakes.”
Shen Wangchen didn’t say anything.
The look Mu Yunqing had just given him made him extremely uncomfortable. If it weren’t for the fact that he was his disciple, Shen Wangchen would have already drawn his sword and chopped him down.
He was born with snow-white skin and hair, a slender figure, a handsome and elegant face, and he always wore white clothes. When he was young, male disciples often mistook him for a woman and expressed their feelings to him. Shen Wangchen therefore hated it most when people praised his beauty or looked at him with that kind of playful gaze.
Mu Yunqing naturally knew that he had committed a taboo. He pursed his lips, said nothing, kowtowed three times, and walked out of the palace.
After he left, Shen Wangchen took out a paper crane with a very cold expression. He wanted to send a message to his second disciple, Qi Chaoye, but suddenly stopped.
Having learned a lesson from Mu Yunqing, he couldn’t trust any of his male disciples now.
So, only Su Jiu could be trusted.
Shen Wangchen frowned, sent a message to Su Jiu, and began to seriously reflect on what was wrong with his education. Why did one after another fall for him?
It was fine that Su Jiu liked him. A girl’s heart is always full of spring, and she hadn’t been exposed to other men, so it was understandable that she mistook her admiration for him as love.
But what about those male disciples?
The thought of being liked by the same sex made Shen Wangchen feel disgusted.
In the library, Su Jiu was exhausted. She finally found the damaged pill formula.
“Master Uncle, Master Uncle!”
She rushed over and quickly presented the formula to Cang Qiansxue.
“Look at this…”
She knelt at Cang Qiansxue’s feet, half-leaning against his thigh, raised her head, and presented the paper in her hand to Cang Shanxue like a treasure, her eyes shining brightly.
Cang Shanxue’s gaze, however, did not fall on the formula in her hand, but on her face.
After a long while, he finally looked away.
“What is it?” He casually took it, glanced at it a few times, and looked down at Su Jiu.
It listed some herbs, all common in the cultivation world. Cang Qiansxue didn’t know why Su Jiu had given it to him.
Su Jiu then remembered that Cang Shanxue, unlike her senior brother, didn’t specialize in alchemy, so he couldn’t tell that the formula had a slight effect in counteracting the poison of “Three-Day Red Face.”
The smile on her face immediately faded, and she lowered her head, “I found a pill formula earlier, thinking it might be useful… My senior brother studies alchemy, I’ll show it to him tonight! He must know!”
[My senior brother not only knows, he can also refine it. It’s just a pity that it’s a damaged formula. If it were complete, it would be great.]
Cang Shanxue raised an eyebrow. Hearing the trust in her voice towards Mu Yunqing, he felt a strange sense of displeasure.
Su Jiu reached out to take the formula from him, but he suddenly raised his hand. Su Jiu missed and fell forward, her upper body landing on his knees.
“Master Uncle, I didn’t mean to!”
She quickly got up and took a few steps back, deliberately keeping a distance from Cang Qiansxue.
[Oh my god! How could I forget that Cang Shanxue hates people getting close to him. I heard that when he was emperor, a palace maid accidentally touched his leg, and he chopped off both her arms… Help, I’m not going to be okay, am I?]
Cang Qiansxue paused slightly.
How did she know about these little things from a thousand years ago?
Seeing Su Jiu looking at him eagerly, Cang Qiansxue pretended to be profound and looked at the formula again before saying slowly, “Although I don’t practice alchemy, I still have some knowledge of it.”
Su Jiu’s eyes widened slightly.
[So amazing? The book didn’t say that.]
Cang Qiansxue enjoyed her surprised gaze and calmly fabricated, “I see that this formula is missing half. Why don’t you leave it with me, and when I find the other half, I’ll give it to you, okay?”
Su Jiu was about to say something when a paper crane suddenly flew in from outside the window. It carried Shen Wangchen’s voice, telling her to return to the Undying Palace immediately.
Su Jiu calculated the time. It was almost noon, so she had to give the half-formula to Cang Qiansxue and said, “Master Uncle, if you don’t understand anything, you can ask my senior brother. He might be able to find a solution.”
After all, in the original book, it was Mu Yunqing who eventually obtained the complete formula and refined the pill.
Although it couldn’t completely detoxify, it could at least weaken the poison to some extent.
Cang Qiansxue didn’t respond to her and waved her away.
This was the first time Su Jiu had witnessed Shen Wangchen detoxifying her with her own eyes while she was conscious.
Shen Wangchen’s snow-white clothes were scattered, revealing his thin but slightly muscular upper body. His tight skin was strong, his bones and flesh were evenly proportioned, his waist was narrow and covered with a thin layer of muscle, and the blue blood vessels on his abdomen were particularly prominent, winding down his cold white skin, disappearing under his underwear.
He walked barefoot across the floor, sat cross-legged on the bed, his expression as calm as if he were simply teaching Su Jiu how to cultivate.
Yet, his thin lips parted slightly, “Take off your clothes.”
Su Jiu awkwardly looked away, clutching her sash with both hands. She was already regretting coming so early.
She knew she should have waited until the poison broke out before coming, so she wouldn’t be in this awkward situation.
Her hesitant appearance made Shen Wangchen impatient. He narrowed his eyes, “What? Do you want me to help you take it off?”
The first two times, Su Jiu had lost consciousness, and he had only helped her take off her clothes out of necessity.
But today, Su Jiu hadn’t been poisoned yet and could still take it off herself.
She quickly shook her head and stammered, “I, I can do it myself.”
Shen Wangchen responded faintly. Seeing Su Jiu’s embarrassed and awkward appearance, he knew she was uncomfortable because he was there, so he simply turned around and faced her with his back.
Without Shen Wangchen’s gaze, Su Jiu felt a little relieved and quickly untied her sash and took off her clothes.
When she reached her lower garment, her hand paused, and her cheeks flushed red.
“Mas, Master…”
[Does that mean I have to take off my skirt too? No way, no way?]
Shen Wangchen turned his head and glanced at Su Jiu, saying, “That’s enough. Come up.”
