Yao Yao remained nervous, not daring to look at Chong Yan’s expression.
So the little black snake still remembered it so clearly.
The situation wasn’t actually complicated, but explaining it was a bit troublesome. How should she say it? They were initially just little characters in a game. She had given two pearls first and then a rose for a year.
The black snake might think that he was given two pearls and then abandoned.
And the little demon might think that she had other choices before choosing him.
“That’s not it,” Yao Yao explained earnestly, “I saw you on a mysterious square object back then, and you looked like a little worm, different from Chong Yan.”
It was really small, just one or two centimeters in size. It was dark and smooth in the water, so Yao Yao had given it two pearls.
But when she saw the little demon, he already had the appearance of a pale young man.
The emotions, the feelings were completely different.
Yao Yao anxiously curled her toes. Who knew that something she had casually clicked in the game would end up sandwiching her between two ferocious beasts?
She was afraid that Chong Yan would be hurt.
And she secretly glanced and saw that Chong Yan was indeed hurt.
Chong Yan stood there with a blank expression, and after a while, he slowly lowered his head. Although he didn’t say a word, it felt as if there was something he had been holding onto in the air, and it shattered all at once.
So wasn’t the only one.
Chong Yan was actually grateful for her gifts. He knew that receiving the rose was already very fortunate.
But…
Why couldn’t he have it all to himself?
Instinctively, savage beasts wanted to possess the best things for themselves.
Chong Yan knew it wasn’t right, but he couldn’t control his sadness.
Wen Yu also didn’t expect that his casually spoken words would bring such a strong impact. His snake tail, lying on the ground, suddenly raised up, twisting like a worm.
“Then I must have been the most beautiful,” the black snake affirmed himself, feeling triumphant. “Isn’t your true form even uglier than that creepy old guy who smiles eerily? Is it all bumpy and missing limbs?”
Yao Yao frowned. “How can you say that? You should apologize to Chong Yan.”
Wen Yu didn’t know what “Chong Yan” represented or who he was provoking.
He had been lonely for too long and finally met her. He became completely immersed in his own beauty, comparing the beauty of their kind. Furry creatures compared fur and smoothness, while those without fur compared the color of their scales and their size.
The blank expression on Chong Yan’s face gradually faded, replaced by a coldness that had been silent and desolate for thousands of years. Like the snow accumulated in the Abyss for thousands of years without melting.
The black snake felt delighted.
He hissed arrogantly.
His snake tail moved with confidence.
But suddenly, he felt something was amiss.
Why did it suddenly become cold?
The temperature in the deep sea had always been stable, and he was very familiar with it. This vast sea could accommodate countless giant monsters. If even a slight change occurred in the temperature, it would be an extremely terrifying power.
And soon, it seemed like the entire deep sea began to tremble slightly.
Yao Yao looked at Chong Yan’s tightened lips and realized that his emotions were not right.
“Chong Yan,” she hurriedly approached him.
Chong Yan, accustomed to not showing emotions, couldn’t be read. But a bitter and icy feeling came from the cavity of his heart where there should have been a heart.
And the instinctual desire to win and the desire for destruction and annihilation, written into countless talismans, overwhelmed his control in an instant.
So when the black snake raised its head with an air of superiority, it suddenly saw something.
Behind the person, a pair of towering wings suddenly appeared.
The black snake, startled, couldn’t clearly see the shape as it was vague and indistinct.
However, the magnificent snake tail of the black snake suddenly pressed close to the ground, becoming flat, and then began to twist uneasily into an S-shape.
What is that thing?
It’s just a tail, how can it be as big as his snake body?
But it didn’t end there.
Chong Yan’s gaze turned cold, and the tattered wings on his back slowly unfolded, enveloping the space above the path in the deep sea.
Wen Yu had lived in the depths of the sea for a long time and thought he was already big enough. After years of maintenance and offerings, his size was enough to dominate a territory in the deep sea.
But the strange creature before him, its tail alone was as big as his snake body, and one wing was as large as the creature he had encountered earlier. How terrifying would its true form be? With its movements, the seawater suddenly roared and surged, as if a powerful force was leaking out.
The black snake was completely shocked.
Out of instinctual fear, he realized that he had provoked something he shouldn’t have.
No, this wasn’t a human, nor was it purely a beast. It was something of a higher level.
Being very astute, the black snake immediately slithered over to Yao Yao’s side and whispered, “He’s quite scary. Let’s run away together.”
Running away when you can’t win is an important rule for the deep sea god who has stood tall for many years.
But Yao Yao shook her head. “He’s not scary.”
He’s just sad.
Because Chong Yan is sad, her mood has become gloomy as well.
Yao Yao, defying the cold pressure released by Chong Yan, approached him in the unfamiliar darkness of the deep sea and extended her palm.
Good friends hold hands to communicate.
As long as they communicate well, there is no conflict that cannot be resolved.
His semi-transformed eyes seemed to be ravaged by wind and snow, but when she reached out her hand, he instinctively reached out to accept it.
Yao Yao’s heart softened.
So how is he scary? He’s simply like the most obedient puppy who will instinctively extend his own paw, even when he’s sad.
But before Yao Yao could hold his hand, the powerful pressure surrounding them disappeared.
A group of people.
Swarming closer from a distance.
“Junior Sister Ji.”
“Are you okay? Did a monster appear here earlier?”
Su Yilin’s warm voice came through.
“Don’t be afraid. Brother Cangyan and I have come to save you.”
Su Yilin smiled as she landed, riding on Li Cangyan’s sword. If you ignored the seaweed and seashells hanging from her head, she actually looked quite dignified in the deep sea.
Behind her were numerous disciples from the Wuji sect, as well as scattered disciples from other sects. Because Li Cangyan had a spatial locating artifact for underwater navigation, everyone followed closely behind him.
There had clearly been a strong power fluctuation here earlier, as though a terrifying monster had appeared. But because they were a large group with powerful artifacts, the monster fled.
Otherwise, Yao Yao might have been torn apart by the monster by now.
