Chapter 1: Transmigration
In a Nordic-style bedroom, a girl lay on a large bed.
Her eyelashes fluttered slightly, as if she were about to wake up from a dream.
“Host, hello.” A voice seemed to ring in her ear, and the girl finally opened her eyes.
The unfamiliar surroundings entered her view. Hmm? Where exactly is this?
Wasn’t she just too tired after returning home from a bar at midnight, and fell asleep on her couch? Is this a dream?
Jin Yue immediately pinched her face hard. A sharp breath escaped her lips—ouch, it hurt.
She immediately sat up, irritably ran her hand through her hair, and quickly got off the bed to go to the vanity.
Looking at the messy reflection in the mirror, she couldn’t help but scream in shock.
Her eyelashes looked like fly legs, with thick black eyeliner, dark eyeshadow, and smeared makeup all over her face. She thought she realized something.
“Host, hello. Welcome to this world. I am System 003.” Suddenly, a mechanical, cold voice appeared in her mind.
Great, this cliché setup. This cold system—seems like she was right. She had transmigrated into a book.
“Let me guess, you’re a Mary Sue system, right? Did I get the female antagonist’s redemption script? Or maybe the ‘everyone loves me’ script? Or perhaps the ‘everyone’s darling’ script?” Jin Yue inquired, not ready to give up.
“Please, host, wake up. I am the World Maintenance System 003, not those cheesy Mary Sue systems.”
The system coldly interrupted Jin Yue’s unrealistic fantasies, and she seemed slightly defeated. Her lips twitched—please, could it be as melodramatic as she thought?
“So, what’s going on with me now?”
A few minutes later, Jin Yue, like a salted fish, lay on the bed with an expression that screamed “nothing to live for.”
Great, this cursed sixth sense, this cursed luck, this cursed melodrama. She had transmigrated into the same-named vicious female antagonist from the dog-blood novel *The Tyrannical CEO Fell for Me*.
The antagonist’s father was a nouveau riche, and since her mother had passed away early, her father dotes on her, which led to the antagonist developing a spoiled and willful personality.
In the book, after years of unrequited love for the male lead, she kidnapped the heroine out of jealousy and was severely punished by the male lead. In the end, her family went bankrupt, and she disappeared.
The system 003 attached to her was, after all, a system meant to maintain the relationship between the male and female leads. Although she didn’t know why it was attached to her, the female antagonist.
Was it afraid that she might destroy the relationship between the leads?
Please, the male and female leads were the number one enemy in her tragic world. There were so many handsome men, why should she tie herself to one flawed tree?
She swore to keep her distance from the leads in this lifetime, Jin Yue grumbled to herself.
“You guessed right, the female antagonist is the biggest obstacle to the relationship between the male and female leads, so I need to supervise you,” 003 explained.
“Don’t worry, I’m not the original host. I’m not interested in the male lead. Besides, based on the cold personality of the male lead in the book, he’s not my type either. You should supervise the male lead; in case he falls for me. I can’t do anything about that.” Jin Yue retorted cheekily.
“Rest assured, after testing and based on the book’s description, the male lead is not interested in your type. That’s why you were chosen for this world,” 003 countered logically.
“Whatever. The human world is complicated. Don’t you know the saying ‘You can know a person’s face, but not their heart’? Anyway, no need to warn me anymore.” Jin Yue frowned, pouting.
“This transmission has cost me too much energy, so I will enter sleep mode to replenish it. I will send you the storyline now, so pay attention,” 003 said, before going silent.
Jin Yue lay quietly in bed, pretending like she could escape reality.
Clearly, avoiding it wasn’t an option. Life had chosen to strike, and since she couldn’t refuse, she might as well accept it.
Jin Yue decided to wash her face and remove her makeup. It looked quite scary at the moment, so she immediately got up to clean her face.
Her big, expressive almond-shaped eyes, dark pupils that seemed like they could suck people in, a tear mole under her left eye, a small and delicate nose, and a cherry-like mouth—all combined with her fair skin, gave her an innocent look.
Without makeup, she looked youthful but had wild red waves of hair that seemed like a weird combination. Jin Yue couldn’t help but murmur to herself as she looked at her unfamiliar reflection.
She looked somewhat like her original self, but clearly, her previous sweet and cute style didn’t match this heavy makeup.
As expected, she was probably going shopping today.
When she opened the walk-in closet, there were only sexy dresses.
After some effort, she found a white T-shirt and denim shorts buried at the bottom and changed into them. She quickly applied some lipstick before heading out.
Jin Yue drove to the largest Tianqi Shopping Mall and entered shopping mode.
Thankfully, 003 had also transmitted the original host’s memories, so she wouldn’t be embarrassed when paying and not knowing the passwords.
After shopping for clothes, she grabbed her bags and was about to go upstairs to try on new outfits. However, she noticed that her current combination looked a bit off and unsatisfactory.
Lost in thought, she didn’t notice the group of well-dressed men walking toward her.
The leader was a man with jet-black short hair, deep-set eyes, a tall nose, and a white suit. He stood still, staring at her with eyes that seemed bottomless, emanating an aggressive aura.
