Chapter 5

Lu Yun’an was called to the study by Jiang Xuan, along with Jiang Rou’s brother, Jiang Cheng.

Lu Yun’an disliked studying. Being summoned to the study by his father was a regular occurrence since childhood.

Jiang Cheng looked at Lu Yun’an again. “Brother-in-law, I’ll go back now.”

A gentle breeze blew outside, soft and warm.

Jiang Rou was so sleepy her eyelids were drooping. “Go get a thin blanket.”

Lu Yun’an was also sleepy, his eyelids drooping. “What?”

As he spoke, he was gently kicked by Jiang Rou.

Alright, alright, he got it, a blanket, right? He’d go get one.

They woke up from their nap in the afternoon. Jiang Rou saw Lu Yun’an still asleep and didn’t wake him up. She slipped on her shoes, sat down at the table, and poured herself some tea.

She waited a while, and Lu Yun’an opened his eyes. Jiang Rou was looking at him.

Lu Yun’an propped himself up on the bed, his eyes lazily raised, leaning against the table beside him. “I want some tea.”

Lu Yun’an got out of bed and put on his boots. As he put on his boots, he said, “I just went and got you a blanket.”

They sat at the table together, drinking tea and eating some fruit.

Jinyue passed by the window and secretly glanced at them, not going in to disturb them.

As they walked out of the courtyard, Jiang Rou kicked her feet as she walked through the courtyard, which was somewhat familiar to her.

Looking at Lu Yun’an, Jiang Rou gave him a smile.

Jiang Rou lifted her skirt and ran towards Jiang Xuan’s courtyard, her skirt fluttering gracefully. After running a few steps, she turned her head to look at Lu Yun’an.

Lu Yun’an didn’t even run, he was about to catch up with her in a few strides.

Jiang Rou took a deep breath. “I’m going to count to three, and you let go.”

Jiang Rou: “It’s after I remember.”

The small stone was kicked back in front of Jiang Rou by Lu Yun’an. She stood there, not moving.

He wasn’t even angry!

From afar, Jiang Shu, the second daughter of the Jiang family, stood there, her gaze meeting Jiang Rou’s.

Jiang Rou hadn’t given He Shi a good face when she returned, and of course, Jiang Shu knew that the elder branch hadn’t had lunch with them. She was there in the morning.
