Chapter 22: The Bugs Should Wake Up
Before Lou Suo could refuse, he heard Chu Xihen agree, “Alright, then thank you for your trouble.”
Why would he sleep on the couch when there was a bed to sleep in?
He wasn’t worried about Lou Suo and Bai Jinli developing anything while he was gone. After all, these two were the male leads of this world; they at least knew the basic principles of propriety, justice, integrity, and honor.
As long as he, the rightful partner, wasn’t dead, even if they were madly in love with each other, they wouldn’t do anything to betray him.
Who knew Lou Suo would then say, “Then I’ll go in and rest with Xihen first. You two can take turns guarding tonight, and Xihen and I will switch with you tomorrow night.”
Chu Xihen almost couldn’t help but whistle at Lou Suo. This man really knew how to avoid suspicion.
Lou Suo had already said this much, so Bai Jinli couldn’t dwell on it any longer and could only agree.
However, this incident made Han Chong’s dislike for Chu Xihen even deeper.
Lou Suo dragged Chu Xihen into the room. He was very strong. As soon as they entered the room, he used one hand to push Chu Xihen onto the bed and the other to lock the door behind him.
“What are you doing…” Chu Xihen was about to get up when Lou Suo’s tall figure loomed over him.
His chin was grabbed by Lou Suo. “Chu Xihen, what do you mean? When we were at the riverside camp, Wan Ming caused you trouble. He should have told you about Bai Jinli and me, right?”
“About what?” Chu Xihen asked, feigning ignorance.
There were no lights in the room. What illuminated them was the flashlight that Lou Suo had casually placed on the bedside table when he pounced over just now.
The flashlight shone partially on Chu Xihen’s extremely superior features, adding a touch of illusion to his face.
Lou Suo looked at this scene, his breathing a little heavy.
“Wan Ming said I was going to break up with you. Didn’t he say why?” Lou Suo moved closer, his hot breath spraying onto Chu Xihen’s face.
From Chu Xihen’s angle, he saw Lou Suo’s face in the same way the other saw his. The light from the flashlight shone from between their heads, illuminating half of each of their faces.
He raised his hand and grabbed Lou Suo’s collar. “Of course, I believe you. I trust you very much.”
“You’re actively pushing me away. Aren’t you a little too trusting?” Lou Suo’s voice was low.
Chu Xihen’s hands moved up, circling Lou Suo’s neck. “How could I bear to? Actually, I just wanted to test you.”
There was also a hint of recklessness. If Lou Suo was destined to be with Bai Jinli, then he might as well fulfill them sooner rather than later, so he wouldn’t always be unable to harden his heart and leave.
As long as Lou Suo showed a little interest in Bai Jinli, he would leave immediately and never pester him.
“No need to test. I just like you for not causing trouble,” Lou Suo said, directly lowering his head to seal Chu Xihen’s lips.
While Chu Xihen responded to Lou Suo, he thought about what he said.
Not causing trouble? Then Lou Suo really found the right person.
He was most afraid of troublesome things. His only request now was to find a place with good scenery to retire and grow old, one where he could be buried when he died.
Because Lou Suo didn’t trust the people guarding in the living room, and because this place really wasn’t a safe place, they didn’t go all the way. After being affectionate for a while, they lay down to rest.
It was at this moment that an ethereal and eerie laughter rang out.
Then the voice said, “The bugs should wake up!”
The moment Lou Suo heard the voice, he jumped out of bed and went to the window to check the situation.
Chu Xihen, on the other hand, frowned deeply because he heard this familiar voice.
It seemed his dream of retirement was about to be shattered.
“Brother Lou, did you hear that? Quickly, look at the night sky outside!” Bai Jinli shouted while knocking on the door outside.
At this time, Lou Suo had already seen the night sky.
In the pitch-black night sky, a huge clown head suddenly appeared, with a teasing smile that made people extremely uncomfortable.
The clown repeated the phrase “The bugs should wake up” three times, as if trying to wake up everyone in the world.
Then he continued to taunt, “If that detestable thief hadn’t stolen my time, you bugs wouldn’t have such an opportunity for self-salvation. Next, look at the rules yourselves. I wish you a quick death, you bugs!”
The clown’s taunt value was really maxed out, making even someone as steady as Lou Suo want to fly into the sky and kick him in the head.
However, he didn’t have the ability or the opportunity, because after the clown finished speaking, his head faded away, and several rows of glowing Chinese characters appeared in the sky.
Chu Xihen, who slowly walked to the window, didn’t see the clown’s face, but he could imagine it.
“Instance Rules:
First: Each team can only enter with five people at the same time. Those exceeding that number will be randomly assigned to a team. Spaces within 500 square meters will be considered one team.
Second: Each instance will pull in at least one team. The maximum number of people depends on the difficulty of the instance. The harder the instance, the more people there will be.
Third: Those who clear the instance will receive rewards. Death in the instance will result in death in reality.
Fourth: After entering the instance, the flow of time in the real world will stop.
Fifth: An instance will open every seven days, mandatory entry, no refusal.”
The five rules appeared and disappeared in less than a minute.
Immediately afterward, a countdown appeared in the night sky: “Five, four, three, two…”
The moment Lou Suo saw the countdown, he grabbed Chu Xihen’s hand. He wasn’t afraid of entering this suddenly appearing instance, but he was afraid of being separated from Chu Xihen when entering the instance.
How would Chu Xihen survive alone in the instance?
“If we don’t enter the same one…” Lou Suo was flustered, his hand trembling as he held Chu Xihen’s.
Seeing him like this, Chu Xihen softly comforted him, “I will try my best to live and come back to see you.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he was enveloped in darkness. He clearly felt that at the last moment, Lou Suo’s hand was forced to let go of him.
When he opened his eyes, Chu Xihen’s eyes were filled with light. He was standing by a clear stream. The beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers gave him a sense of being in another world.
It was only a few days since the end of the world in the real world.
Seeing the familiar scene in front of him, Chu Xihen’s handsome face was so dark it could drip water.
He silently recited in his heart: Open the mall.
Then a system mall appeared before his eyes, with three columns at the top.
They were: Personal Mall, Basic Mall, and Trading Mall.
Chu Xihen glanced at the Personal Mall. His previous items were still there, and there was an integral display at the bottom of the mall.
And his points were: 9999+
Chu Xihen was also familiar with the Basic Mall. As the name suggests, it sold some basic things, ability upgrade cards, food, and weapons.
They were all useless things to him, but to people other than the survivors of the infinite game, each item was something they coveted now.
Unfortunately, without points, they could only continue to covet.
The last trading mall was something Chu Xihen had never seen before. He clicked it open and saw that he could sell skill cards here, and even specify transactions!
