Chapter 15
“Why are these so expensive?”
With the amount of gold she currently had, she could only afford one set at most.
“Tiantian, you’re selecting futuristic products that surpass this era. Naturally, the price is much higher.”
“But if you choose items closer to what exists in this time period, the price difference wouldn’t be as drastic compared to the real world.”
With a wave of Xiao Qi’s hand, a few styles of underwear from the 1980s appeared before Jiang Tiantian.
Jiang Tiantian stared at them speechlessly.
From the fabric to the craftsmanship and design, everything looked plain and unremarkable to her modern eyes—utterly vintage.
Even so, these were probably trendy in foreign countries at the time, while domestically, they might not even be available yet.
Following her principle that “A woman can skimp on anything, but never on her intimate wear,” Jiang Tiantian decisively ordered the most expensive set—a deep purple lace lingerie with embroidered details.
Money? It’s meant to be spent.
Not enough?
Just earn more.
Jiang Tiantian never compromised when it came to her daily necessities.
As soon as her consciousness returned, she found the lingerie set she had just purchased in her hands.
She had to admit—the platform only offered high-quality products.
Putting it on, it fit like a custom-made piece, perfectly snug and incredibly comfortable.
She walked to the mirror and examined the fit.
Professional lingerie truly made a difference—it provided excellent support.
Looking at her reflection, she sighed once again—her original body’s figure was amazing, something many girls in later generations would envy.
Yet, her mother had managed to make her feel self-conscious and depressed about it. Too pitiful.
Recalling Cha Jiuzhang’s embarrassed reaction earlier, a secret sense of delight bubbled up in Jiang Tiantian’s heart.
What to do?
She was falling for this man more and more.
But having a strong foundation was a good thing. She was confident that she would win him over soon.
After so many years of emotional indifference, her heart was now pounding like a young girl in love.

Cha Jizu was puzzled to find his grandson at the well in the middle of the night, continuously splashing cold water onto his face and neck.
As he got closer, he noticed that the bridge of his grandson’s nose was flushed red.
And when he thought about whose room he had just rushed out from, everything became clear in an instant.
He originally planned to put on a stern expression, but Cha Jiuzhang’s current state was just too rare to witness.
Unable to hold back, he let out a chuckle and muttered, “No self-control.”
Then, with his hands behind his back, he strolled away leisurely.
Cha Jiuzhang buried his face in the basin, trying desperately to erase the two soft, white images floating in his mind.
In the end, he sighed, took off his shirt, grabbed the basin, and dumped a few rounds of cold water over himself from head to toe before heading back to his room, drenched.

By the time Jiang Tiantian finally lay in bed, she suddenly remembered the question that had flashed through her mind during the duel.
“Xiao Qi, how did the first video we uploaded this afternoon perform?”
“As you expected, Cha Jiuzhang’s face in the final shot triggered a wave of enthusiastic sharing and promotion.”
“Within just two hours, the video had over a million views and gained 100,000 followers. It created a solid foundation for your account. To put it bluntly, it’s all thanks to his face.”
With a wave of Xiao Qi’s hand, numerous viewer comments and bullet screen messages from the first video appeared around them, some even in voice format.
The system automatically translated various languages into Chinese for her understanding:
“Holy crap, is this a real person???”
“Oh my god, that face in the last scene was a critical hit!”
“It’s been so long since I’ve seen such an authentic, naturally handsome guy.”
“Seeing such a good-looking man, I’m swooning again!”
“…”
“His looks are too ridiculously high-level—it’s scientifically impossible! He can’t be naturally born. Either he was enhanced postnatally, genetically modified as an embryo, or he’s an AI bionic robot.”
“The person above makes a point. If people could naturally grow to look like this, where would that leave us 2.0-version humans?”
“Making baseless assumptions without evidence is just being a hooligan. Where’s a science expert when you need one? We need a proper explanation!”
“Explain! Explain! Explain!!!”
“…”
“The platform issued an official clarification. See the note below? This video is set in the year 1982 in a remote village in Western China.”
“This is hilarious. Anyone who studied Earth’s history would know that in 1982, China probably didn’t even have plastic surgery, let alone genetic editing or bionic robots. Just admit that he’s naturally handsome—it’s not shameful!”
“…”
“The rumors debunked themselves, so now I can continue enjoying his beauty in peace.”
“…”
“With looks like this, he definitely has ‘god-tier beauty syndrome!'”
“…”
There were too many comments for Jiang Tiantian to read them all, but they reaffirmed her judgment—she knew it! Human aesthetics were universal.
Cha Jiuzhang’s charm was the ultimate tool for gaining followers.

Early Morning.
Not even six o’clock.
The sky was just beginning to brighten.
Even though she had tossed and turned before falling asleep last night, her ingrained biological clock woke her up right on time.
Having maintained her morning running routine for over ten years, even switching bodies couldn’t override the deeply ingrained habit.
Jiang Tiantian accepted her fate and got up.
She opened her luggage bag.
She couldn’t help but complain about Du Yulan and Jiang Hongmei—those two had obviously planned the marriage swap long in advance.
There were none of Jiang Hongmei’s belongings in the bag. Instead, it was packed with a few sets of the original owner’s old clothes and daily necessities.
Jiang Tiantian picked out a dark blue Plum Blossom brand tracksuit, which was trendy for the era, and put it on. Then she slipped into a pair of white sneakers.
Pushing open the door, she was greeted by the fresh, crisp air unique to the mountains.
She took a deep breath, savoring it, before doing a few warm-up exercises and then setting off on her morning run.
Along the way, she encountered groups of villagers, all carrying small baskets and heading in the same direction out of the village.
The more reserved ones smiled at her as a greeting.
The more outgoing ones, like a certain auntie who had been watching the commotion outside their courtyard yesterday morning, spoke up directly:
“Jiuzhang’s wife, what are you doing out here so early?”
“I couldn’t sleep, so I came out for a jog to exercise.”
The auntie laughed.
“Oh my, city girls really are different. You even go running just to exercise.”
“Us mountain folks just climb hills and work the fields—that’s all the exercise we need!”
Jiang Tiantian was curious about what the villagers were up to so early in the morning.
“Auntie, where are you all heading so early?”
“Jiuzhang’s wife, you should call me Fifth Cousin-Aunt.”
Then she pulled over three other women and introduced them one by one:
“This is my daughter, your Third Cousin.”
“This is your Second Aunt-in-Law, and this is her daughter-in-law, so you should call her Sister-in-Law.”
Jiang Tiantian followed along and greeted them accordingly, but all the different titles and numbers left her dizzy. She had a feeling she would still mix them up next time.
