Chapter 61: Turns Out He Knows How to Date

Ji Shuyi listened absentmindedly, responding with a nonchalant “Oh” after Jian Wei finished speaking.

Her mind was occupied with thoughts of how fragrant the skewers of potatoes in her hand would be once grilled.

Jian Wei had said so much, but only received a casual “Oh” in response, like a punch landing on cotton.

A sense of powerlessness and resentment welled up inside her. Unwilling to give up, she continued with a forced smile, “For so many years, I’ve been the only girl he’s ever been around. He even fought someone for me when we were kids. Don’t think that just because he brought you here and left you to fend for yourself, he’s cold. It was Jiang Cheng, walking over with a juice. He called out from a distance.

That one word instantly turned Jian Wei to stone. She looked up in disbelief to confirm if it was really Jiang Cheng walking over, the same sharp-tongued and arrogant boy she knew.

Seeing Jiang Cheng approach shattered all of Jian Wei’s preconceived notions.

Especially when Jiang Cheng seemed to completely ignore her, going straight to Ji Shuyi and asking as if she were some kind of treasure, “Want to drink?”

He even gently added, “It’s warm.”

Ji Shuyi hadn’t expected him to appear at this moment, so perfectly timing his arrival to slap Jian Wei in the face. Her eyes curved into a smile as she looked at him. “I want to drink.”

Then Jian Wei watched as Jiang Cheng actually unscrewed the cap for her before handing it over. She was on the verge of losing control of her expression. She even heard Jiang Cheng say to Ji Shuyi, “Go sit over there. I’ll distribute the rest.”

Jian Wei clenched her fists in anger. He had never done any of these things when they were having group dinners or hanging out together in the past. What kind of sorcery did this Ji Shuyi use to make him like this?

“I want to drink water too,” Jian Wei called out to Jiang Cheng, refusing to be outdone.

Jiang Cheng, who was taking the grilled skewers from Ji Shuyi’s hand, didn’t think she was talking to him. He was preoccupied with asking Ji Shuyi what she liked to eat, until Jian Wei called out again, “A’Cheng, I want to drink water too.”

Only then did Jiang Cheng casually lift his eyelids and glance at Jian Wei, his tone slightly impatient. “If you want to drink, go get it yourself. What’s the point of yelling at me? Do you think I’m a magician who can conjure up a bottle of water for you?”

She dared to say that it was a good thing Jiang Cheng was incredibly handsome and had maxed out his combat skills, otherwise he would be beaten up every day because of that mouth!

Ji Shuyi looked at the clueless man and said with a smile, “It’s only not annoying when you’re kissing.”

Jiang Cheng’s expression froze for a moment, then his eyes darkened with a smile as he said in a low voice, “Does Baby want to kiss? But not here, there are too many people, and there are cameras everywhere.”

His gaze grew even more suggestive as he whispered, “Be good, bear with it. I’ll find a place later to give Baby a good kiss.”

“Who wants to kiss?” Ji Shuyi slapped him in embarrassment, but then asked, “Have you kissed a lot of people? After all, you’re a regular at bars. You might lose control after drinking a bit.”

“Damn!” Jiang Cheng explained, frustrated, “I’ve only kissed you, and only you.”

Seeing his anxious explanation, Ji Shuyi grumbled with a hint of smugness, “Then how are you so good at kissing?”

Jiang Cheng lowered his eyes to look at the blushing and smiling girl, and suddenly leaned closer to her ear with a mischievous glint. “Because I look at Baby’s expression when I kiss.”

Ji Shuyi’s ears turned red instantly. It was as if he wasn’t saying he was good at kissing, but that she was too eager for him and too easily addicted.

“I don’t want to talk to you,” Ji Shuyi pushed him away, glaring at him in annoyance. “You dog of a man, you pervert.”

Jian Wei, who had returned with her drink, happened to witness this scene. Seeing Ji Shuyi blushing and angrily pushing Jiang Cheng away, while Jiang Cheng didn’t seem angry at all, but smiled as if he had found some treasure, she unconsciously crushed the drink bottle in her hand.

While Song Yu and the others were grilling, Jiang Cheng was showing Ji Shuyi, who was visiting for the first time, around the club.
