Hoarding Billions of Supplies, I Sustain the Apocalypse Base Chapter 10

Chapter 10: Shape-Shifting Robots, Delivering Water to the Apocalypse!

Hearing that the people on the phone wanted to give her a gift, Gu Man was very touched.

They were starving.

She had only sent some food and meat, yet they had easily given her their affection and were shouting about sending gifts.

She felt guilty.

The little city lord’s gold hadn’t even been spent yet!

She had decided that if they sent anything, she would refuse it…

In reality, even if they didn’t repay her, she would continue sending things.

Though less than a day had passed, she could no longer treat these people as characters in a game.

She now saw them as real, struggling and fighting for survival.

She couldn’t help but be moved.

“They might be humans from another space-time, speaking a language that can be understood, writing that can be read—they must be from China.”

“Of course, Chinese people should help other Chinese people, no matter the space-time.”

She thought to herself.

“Rescuer, I am about to begin sending items, please prepare a slightly larger space.”

The magnetic voice of the little city lord came through the phone, and Gu Man couldn’t get enough of hearing it.

She quickly went to the living room.

“Ready.”

As soon as she finished speaking, there was a sound of things appearing.

Three boxes of crystal cores.

They sparkled, in various colors and shapes.

Gu Man’s eyes were dazzled. How could a girl resist shiny things?

Even though she knew these weren’t real gems, so what?

They were more valuable than gems!

She could feel it clearly.

The moment the three boxes of crystal cores appeared in the living room, the atmosphere of the room changed!

“Wow! They are so polite and adorable!”

She picked up a heart-shaped crystal core that resembled a ruby, and a warm sensation immediately spread.

But this warmth wasn’t hot; it was the kind that seemed to enhance vitality.

She had cold womb syndrome, and every month her period was so painful it felt unbearable.

Though it wasn’t her time of the month, her stomach still felt cold.

But when she held this red crystal core, her stomach warmed up.

After holding it for a while, a layer of sweat formed on her belly, sticky and slippery, like snot.

She immediately wiped it off in disgust.

She then picked up a green crystal core. This rectangular core had two layers of green, the inner layer as intense as emperor green jade.

It was love at first sight.

As soon as she held it, it felt as if she were standing in a spring breeze, thoroughly refreshed from the inside out.

An indescribable sense of comfort washed over her, and even the negative emotions seemed to disappear.

The golden crystal core made her feel like her bones had become heavier, while the yellow crystal core made her feel a surge of strength.

The crystal cores of the same color but different shapes seemed to have slight differences in their effects, but she loved each one!

Originally, she planned to return whatever they sent.

Now, she couldn’t bear to part with them.

“They’re so kind and generous!”

One of the boxes of crystal cores had a piece of paper attached, with finely drawn but strong lines resembling formations, and directions were thoughtfully marked.

On the back, the instructions were written:

“Place the crystal cores as shown on the diagram, and they will form a beneficial energy resonance field. When inside, your bodily functions will be regulated.”

“The miniature energy field in the blue box’s round metal sphere can be activated by pressing a button.”

It was just as if she could see the person behind the writing.

This was certainly written by the young city lord.

And from the content, it was clear he was a thoughtful and meticulous person.

She immediately found the metal sphere mentioned by the young city lord in the blue treasure chest.

It was lightweight.

She took the little ball into the room and pressed the button, and something like paper emerged, which crawled around the room and spread out like a carpet.

Following the diagram, she placed the crystal cores one by one, and the entire room turned glittery, with the energy field changing instantly.

How to describe it?

It was like being intoxicated in a spring breeze.

Indescribably comfortable.

All the physical ailments from her work, such as shoulder tendonitis, cervical spondylosis, back pain, and occasional headaches, were all alleviated in this energy field.

Her bones, muscles, and meridians seemed to be gently combed by an invisible hand.

It felt incredibly soothing.

So much so that she almost fell asleep on the bed.

But with great effort, she pulled herself up.

She couldn’t just sleep now.

There were still more gifts to see.

Another metal box had a note on it with neat, printed-like handwriting.

“Gift for the Rescuer: Inside are two shape-shifting multifunctional robots, combining patrolling, warning, defense, and attack functions.”

Reading the handwriting made her think of the stern-faced Professor Lin Zhoumin.

She opened the box.

Inside were two blobs of metallic liquid, which looked alive.

She was confused.

Were these two blobs of metal like the “Venom” from movies, shape-shifting robots?

How were they used?

It seemed the young city lord anticipated her confusion, and his voice rang out just at the right moment.

“The two shape-shifting robots sent by Professor Zhou are the result of his years of research. Their functions are truly amazing.”

“Rescuer, please place your hands into the two blobs of liquid and imagine what you want them to shape into, and they will be fully activated.”

She followed his instructions, placing her hands into the two blobs of liquid.

A bird’s cry came from outside the window.

Her cat leapt up to catch it.

Unexpectedly, thoughts of birds and cats popped into her mind.

The two blobs of liquid then merged into a lively little red bird, with gem-like eyes staring at her, not at all the dull look of a robot.

The other blob turned into a majestic tabby cat, its four paws treading on snow.

Upon seeing her, it meowed and nuzzled against her, unlike the unruly cats in the yard, which would puff up when touched.

It had warmth, and its fur felt just like a real cat’s, without shedding!

Gu Man was stunned. It was truly magical!

The technology in this apocalypse was terrifying, unimaginable!

She didn’t want to return them.

Even if they were multifunctional robots, just their current forms made her love them.

“They can automatically transform based on the current situation to ensure your safety.”

“But if you want them to change form actively, just silently think of one of the following: Weapon form, Defense form, Surveillance form, or Intelligence form, and they will transform accordingly.”

Gu Man couldn’t wait to try.

She tried it.

Weapon form.

The little bird in her hand immediately turned into a blue, domineering-looking gun. She had gotten the idea from a sci-fi movie she had seen.

Now, it had truly come to life.

She looked at it from all sides, so happy and excited!

She mimed several movements!

Thinking again, it turned into a sharp dagger, gleaming with cold light.

She glanced at the meowing tabby cat at her feet, and it instantly transformed into a floating shield, completely blocking her.

“This is so much fun!”

She was ecstatic!

These two “pet” robots gave her a strong sense of security.

She quickly sent a voice message to the young city lord and the others waiting for her reply.

“Thank you so much, I really love the gifts, and I’ll keep them!”

“Do you need water there? I can send tap water to you, but you should find a water storage tank or something to catch it.”

“Note: This is not mineral water, you can’t drink it.”

After sending this, she took the phone to the bathroom.

But she was troubled about how to transfer the water.

Luckily, after scanning, there was a new surprise.

“Water source found, but the faucet must be turned on and the transfer duration set. Do you wish to proceed?”

It really could transfer water!

She quickly set it up.

Twelve hours would do.

That should send a lot of water to them.

If it’s not enough, she’ll figure out another way.

She turned on the faucet.

Water rushed out.

But it didn’t splash on the floor. Instead, it flowed into the apocalyptic space-time.

A timer appeared on her phone screen, counting down.

She couldn’t see what was happening on their end anymore.

That was fine.

It was getting late.

After wishing them good night, she placed the three boxes of crystal cores and the metal box in the safe.

Only the note from Song Lufeng was brought to her room, stored in her vanity box.

The red bird and the white-gloved tabby cat, seeing that she was going to sleep, one diligently kept watch as her pet bird.

The other mixed with the yard’s other cats and dogs, becoming their natural leader.

She slept soundly.

On the other side of the apocalypse, thanks to her reply and the water she sent, they were celebrating in joy.
