A Military Marriage in the 1970s the Supporting Actress is Charming and Seductive Chapter 2

Chapter 2: Husband

Fu Cheng never expected that Song Shengsheng would have the guts to run away without a word.

He knew she was a handful when he married her. She was incredibly spoiled, materialistic, lazy, and had a bad temper.

She was also fickle. She used tricks to marry him, but then became reluctant and changed her attitude when she learned he wouldn’t be returning to the capital for several years.

She stopped pretending.

She didn’t care about their son and often secretly met with her childhood sweetheart, complaining to another man.

As if he knew nothing.

Fu Cheng had turned a blind eye in the past, too lazy to care.

Before he went to find her, Fu Cheng had already made up his mind. If she was truly unwilling to follow him, then so be it.

He would let her go.

Fu Cheng was a man with a bit of pride and wouldn’t beg anyone to stay.

Besides, Song Shengsheng had caused quite a stir.

She had been nagging for a divorce for the past two years, but Fu Cheng refused, not just for the sake of their child, but because he wasn’t really willing to divorce.

Six months ago, she brought up divorce again. Fu Cheng simply applied for a mission, seeking some peace.

Last month, she wrote a letter to the organization, accusing his family of having problematic backgrounds.

She thought her letter was discreet, but Fu Cheng recognized her handwriting on the letter.

As soon as the investigation ended, Fu Cheng rushed home.

The house was empty, and his wife had run away.

He couldn’t deny his anger.

Fu Cheng wasn’t a gentle soul. He had been suppressing his anger all the way, which made his face look terrifying.

Song Shengsheng was now nestled quietly in his arms, too afraid to speak.

She remembered the end of her dream, where she was beaten to death.

In the dream, her soul, which had been watching the entire story, seemed to share her pain.

It felt like she had been shattered into pieces.

Song Shengsheng clutched the man’s shirt, leaning against his hard chest. His large hand firmly held her waist, effortlessly.

Song Shengsheng was a little afraid of him, but she couldn’t help but say, “It hurts. Be gentle.”

She cautiously looked at the man. His jaw was tense, with a cold expression. She brazenly explained, “I didn’t run away with anyone.”

Even as she said it, she felt guilty, her voice so low it was almost inaudible.

“I was just a little tired and went out for some fresh air.”

Fu Cheng raised an eyebrow, looking at her guilty explanation, a hint of surprise in his eyes.

He thought she wouldn’t even bother explaining.

After all, the last few times she mentioned divorce, she practically wrote “found someone else” on her face.

She even said bluntly, “Don’t think I don’t know. Your father and brother in the capital have been investigated and are about to be overthrown.”

“Your family has a bad background. What will happen to me and our child if you bring trouble upon us?”

Fu Cheng had been cold and disappointed in her, something he had never felt before.

He wanted to tell her that his father and brother would eventually return to their official positions, but he thought better of it.

There was no point in telling her, she wouldn’t believe him anyway.

Snapping out of his thoughts, Fu Cheng mocked, “You still remember our child? I thought you had forgotten him.”

Song Shengsheng felt embarrassed.

She didn’t really care for their son. Their child had a great temperament, was obedient and sensible, and looked exactly like Fu Cheng.

Two ice blocks, big and small.

“I left him some money before I left,” she whispered in defense. She burrowed deeper into his embrace, looking up at him, assuring him, “I won’t run away again.”

After all, Fu Cheng was the male lead of this book.

He had a bright future ahead.

Sticking with him should bring her a good life, right?

Fu Cheng looked down at her. She bit her lower lip, her lips were a vibrant red, her face was small and delicate, even though her expression was slightly haggard, she still possessed a fragile beauty.

She was naturally alluring.

Especially when she looked at him with those puppy dog eyes, it was like she was seducing him.

Fu Cheng calmly shifted his gaze, hummed in response, but he didn’t believe her.

She was full of lies, she couldn’t be trusted.

But she was willing to pretend now, so he might as well play along.

As they walked out of the police station, a car was waiting.

It belonged to Fu Cheng’s subordinate in the army. Seeing the woman clinging to the commander, he didn’t dare look too closely.

Even though he didn’t like her much, he still called out, “Sister-in-law.”

The brothers in the regiment all knew that the commander’s wife was not a proper woman, always flirting and scheming.

She might be bad, but no one could deny her beauty.

She was more beautiful than a celestial maiden, with skin like jade, as white as snow, so tender it seemed like water could be squeezed out.

She had a perfect waist and legs,

They thought the commander had endured for years without getting a divorce, probably because he couldn’t bear to part with such a beautiful wife.

As for how much he loved her, that was another matter.

This time, it had escalated to the police station. They couldn’t predict what would happen when they got home.

Fu Cheng carried her into the car, his face impassive, “Go back to Ningcheng.”

His subordinate didn’t dare ask any more questions.

The commander’s face was grim when he arrived, clearly suppressing a torrent of anger.

The car drove for over an hour, and by evening, they finally reached Ningcheng.

Fu Cheng took her home. They lived in a compound assigned by the army. There were many neighbors, and news traveled fast.

It was rare to see Song Shengsheng so meek. Usually, she never gave Fu Cheng a good face.

She was cold and indifferent, as if he owed her something.

She was reluctant, as if she wasn’t the one who had forced the marriage!

“Did Fu Cheng really catch Song Shengsheng cheating?”

“Look at her seductive look, how could she be a good wife? I bet she got caught red-handed.”

“She’s so stupid. She doesn’t know how to cherish someone like Fu Cheng, who has such good conditions.”

“The wife of the neighboring battalion commander brought her niece from the countryside. I think she has her eyes on him.”

Song Shengsheng couldn’t hear the whispers of her neighbors.

She frowned, watching the man who was walking ahead without even looking at her, a sense of resentment building in her heart.

He really didn’t like her!

But she didn’t want a divorce now. She had to figure out a way to make Fu Cheng like her, or else her cousin would steal him away!

Song Shengsheng trailed behind him like a tail.

She was also a hot-tempered woman. Seeing him ignore her, she felt very wronged.

Fu Cheng turned around and saw a pair of tearful eyes, dark and moist, looking at him with longing, her voice soft and slightly aggrieved, “Husband.”

It had been a long time since he had seen her act so sweetly towards him.

Before, whenever he came back, she would try to avoid him at all costs.

Especially at night, when he entered the bedroom, she would burrow under the covers and pretend to be asleep.

She didn’t want to be close to him at all.

Fu Cheng didn’t care if she was pretending or really asleep.

She was his wife.

He was going to sleep with her anyway.

After all, Fu Cheng wasn’t a saint. He was a strong, healthy man.

Even though he didn’t have any feelings for his little wife, and didn’t think he liked her much, he still got a little rough with her.
