Chapter 16: He is enough
Fu Cheng’s arrival was sudden, Song Shengsheng was completely unprepared.
In the past, Fu Cheng would come back from missions in at least half a month, and when they were still fighting in the south a couple of years ago, it was common for him not to come back for months.
When Fu Cheng wasn’t around, his salary and benefits were all hers.
And because of her status as a military family member, she received special preferential treatment.
She actually lived a more carefree life.
At this moment, Song Shengsheng was still feeling guilty, wondering if Fu Cheng had heard what she had just said to Uncle Shen.
She tried to pull her wrist away, but she was met with even stronger control.
She had come to understand that Fu Cheng didn’t like to be disobeyed.
The man didn’t say anything, his voice was flat, devoid of emotion: “To pick you up.”
He captured her chin, stared at her sparkling lips for a while, and then asked lightly, “Was the pear sweet?”
Song Shengsheng felt that he didn’t sound angry, nor did he sound like he was coming to settle accounts with her.
She put her anxious heart back in her stomach and gave him a sweet smile, saying, “Very sweet! It’s better than the ones you buy at the supply and marketing cooperative.”
Fu Cheng said, “Really? Let me try.”
Song Shengsheng was about to tell him that the sweet and juicy white pear had been eaten by her.
She opened her lips and was blocked by his mouth.
The man was clearly very unrestrained in her room, the powerful hand around her waist tightened.
After Fu Cheng tasted it carefully, his fingertip landed on her increasingly red lips, his meaning unclear as he said a few words, “It’s quite sweet.”
Song Shengsheng felt her tongue go numb.
She was a little scared.
She realized belatedly that Fu Cheng had just been deliberately retaliating against her, making her uncomfortable.
She couldn’t help but complain softly, “My mouth hurts.”
Song Shengsheng played the pitiful card, hoping to let Fu Cheng know how much of a beast he was, and then make him feel sorry for her, guilty towards her, so he would have some restraint next time.
However, she underestimated Fu Cheng’s ruthlessness.
The man curled his lips and laughed, “You seemed to be chatting happily with your neighbor, your mouth didn’t seem to be hurting.”
Song Shengsheng was stunned for a moment, then she felt a little wronged.
She had just said a few words to Uncle Shen, what was wrong with that?
After all, he gave her pears to eat, how could she not say anything?
Seeing that she didn’t say anything, Fu Cheng became even more annoyed. He was worried that she would be bullied here alone, so he rushed back to Ningcheng.
She, on the other hand, was smiling brightly when talking about another man.
The bright smile in her eyes when she mentioned Shen Zhishu earlier was really annoying.
“You’re smiling happily too, you don’t look like you’re in any pain.”
Song Shengsheng’s eyelashes fluttered like small fans, she whispered, “It’s because you bit me just now.”
Fu Cheng released her chin, the two finger marks on her snow-white skin were particularly obvious.
He looked at the red mark on her chin, he regretted being a little too rough.
But he didn’t know how this person was made, with delicate skin and tender flesh, she was very difficult to raise.
Fu Cheng’s Adam’s apple rolled calmly twice, “You won’t learn your lesson without this.”
Song Shengsheng was so wronged, what had she done wrong?
Fu Cheng was really the worst-tempered man in the world.
Had he brought all his bad temper from the capital compound here!
Song Shengsheng’s words of reproach were limited, she held back for a long time and only managed to get out a few words, “You’re… really bad.”
Because of Fu Cheng’s male lead status, she didn’t dare to speak too harshly.
Fu Cheng’s face turned cold, a sneer hung on his lips, the man said sarcastically, “Your Brother Zhishu is the best in the whole world.”
Song Shengsheng’s face changed again and again, her breath was hot and her ears were burning.
Fu Cheng was really too bad!!
She couldn’t stand it, she really couldn’t stand it.
When her wings were strong, she would ignore him sooner or later!
After saying that, Fu Cheng’s tone became serious, he glanced at her, “Don’t mention him again.”
Song Shengsheng turned her head and ignored him.
Fu Cheng knew she had heard him, he pressed against her ear and continued, “Or next time it’ll hurt more.”
Song Shengsheng turned her face and glared at him angrily.
Fu Cheng gently pinched her face, the feel was very good, he liked it very much.
She looked so cute when she was angry.
The room was quiet for a while, then there were sounds again.
Song Mother pricked up her ears to listen carefully, Zhao Xiaoning, who was helping with the farm work, was also listening intently.
Suddenly, there was a low cry from inside.
Then, something seemed to have been knocked to the ground.
Song Mother’s face was serious, she looked at Zhao Xiaoning and murmured uncertainly, “Captain Fu wouldn’t be beating her, would he?”
Zhao Xiaoning knew that he wouldn’t hit a woman, of course!
But she was hoping that Fu Cheng had come to the Song family to settle accounts with Song Shengsheng.
Zhao Xiaoning hadn’t been able to be happy for long today, when she saw Fu Cheng come to Xiaoshui Village in the afternoon, she was struck by lightning.
She managed to calm down.
She comforted herself by saying that Fu Cheng had come to the Song family for revenge.
“I… I don’t know.”
Even if he was beating her, Song Mother wouldn’t dare to go in and stop him.
After a while, the room was quiet.
The door creaked open.
Fu Cheng walked in front, the collar of his shirt was unbuttoned, making him look more lazy than usual when he was serious and formal.
Song Shengsheng followed behind him, looking dejected, she was actually quite obedient.
Only her eyes were wet and red, and her mouth was also abnormally red.
Song Mother looked at her like this, she found it strange, and she was even more convinced that something disgraceful must have happened in the room just now.
Song Shengsheng must have been reprimanded by Fu Cheng.
Song Mother didn’t want to get involved, even though her daughter might have been beaten by her husband, she didn’t want to care.
She was the one who wanted to make trouble.
It was only right.
“Mother-in-law, I’ll take Shengsheng back first.”
Fu Cheng held Song Shengsheng’s hand and said in a flat tone.
Song Mother was slightly surprised, hadn’t they already filed for divorce?
Why was he taking her back?
This… this… wouldn’t he be still angry?
Song Mother didn’t care about Song Shengsheng’s life or death, she was even afraid of being dragged down, thinking that Song Shengsheng had eaten up all her savings in just four days at home, she felt heartbroken.
“Okay, go back early before it gets dark.”
Song Mother’s attitude of wanting to get rid of them, Fu Cheng saw it, a faint sneer flashed in the man’s eyes.
From the first time he came to the Song family, he had seen that Song Shengsheng’s parents didn’t have any real affection for her.
Their hearts were all on their other two children.
But it didn’t matter.
Song Shengsheng had him, that was enough.
