“Yes, Yuan Bao, I will study diligently,” Lin Zixun said earnestly.
The young master had been so good to him, and he was determined to improve his abilities and help the young master and the madam more, to justify the monthly salary he received.
He had spent the entire month studying and hadn’t done much else, yet the young master had still provided him with such good benefits.
“You have the talent. With hard work, you will surely succeed,” Yuan Bao encouraged, patting Lin Zixun on the shoulder.
“I understand.”
After going out for a while, Yuan Bao returned with all the information about Lu Lingfeng. While Lin Zixun was studying it carefully, Yuan Bao went to find Su Yu.
“I plan to have Lin Zixun deal with Lu Lingfeng,” Yuan Bao said.
Su Yu raised an eyebrow at Yuan Bao. “You seem to have a lot of confidence in him.”
Since Lin Zixun arrived, Yuan Bao had been very attentive to him, teaching him with great seriousness. Su Yu was curious about Yuan Bao’s thoughts.
“Lin Zixun is a capable and ambitious young man. Given the opportunity, he will seize it. Most importantly, he is also grateful,” Yuan Bao explained. This was the aspect of Lin Zixun that Yuan Bao valued the most.
A person like him would seize an opportunity and would not betray others.
“I see. No wonder you asked for the books that Xiao Bao and Xiao Zhi no longer need. Those books are all top-notch, and many people would pay a high price for them. It seems that you are trying to win hearts,” Su Yu concluded.
However, Su Yu agreed with this approach. “Since you have such confidence in that child, I’ll leave it to you. I’m curious to see what kind of person Lin Zixun will become under your guidance.”
“He will definitely bring surprises to the young master,” Yuan Bao said. A person who could find time to practice martial arts amidst so many responsibilities and exhibit such determination and resilience was not an ordinary person.
“I look forward to this surprise,” Su Yu said, looking expectantly at Yuan Bao. Yuan Bao considered whether he should be stricter with Lin Zixun.
“Let him grow on his own. Don’t put too much pressure on him,” Su Yu said. He understood what Yuan Bao was thinking.
Because of Su Yu’s words, Lin Zixun narrowly escaped a difficult situation.
That evening, when Su Yu told Wang Jinhe about the incident, she smiled. “It seems that Yuan Bao has really found a good helper.”
“Shouldn’t it be the two of us who benefit from this?” Wang Jinhe sat up and turned to look at Su Yu.
Su Yu pulled her back into her arms and said, “If Yuan Bao can train someone to help you, that would be interesting. And he wants Lin Zixun to confront Lu Lingfeng. I’m actually looking forward to it.”
Surprised, Wang Jinhe looked at Su Yu with a strange expression. “Is this true?”
Su Yu nodded with a smile. “It is indeed true.”
“In that case, the cotton and flower planting matters have been taken care of. I plan to start building the school,” Wang Jinhe said, turning to Su Yu with a serious expression.
Surprised, Su Yu looked at Wang Jinhe. “Why? Didn’t you say it would take some time before?”
“Previously, I was considering that, but things have been progressing smoothly lately. We can start building the school first and then proceed with the workshop,” Wang Jinhe shared her thoughts with Su Yu, who listened thoughtfully.
“This is also possible. If you want to, we can start. However, if the school is too large, they might not have enough manpower,” Su Yu said. She knew the person in charge of construction, and while they did have workers, they were not abundant.
Building regular houses wouldn’t be a problem.
“That’s okay. We don’t need to use it immediately, and we still need to find teachers. Even if we build it quickly, it won’t be useful if we’re not prepared,” Wang Jinhe said, shrugging helplessly.
Su Yu smiled. “You don’t need to worry about finding teachers.”
Wang Jinhe looked at Su Yu with suspicion and asked in surprise, “Don’t tell me you have such talented individuals in your circle?”
If Su Yu said that, she might just shut down.
Why were the people in Su Yu’s circle so capable? They seemed to be good at everything.
Su Yu ruffled Wang Jinhe’s head and said with a smile, “Isn’t it normal for the Hedonist to have such people?”
Wang Jinhe was taken aback for a moment. How could she forget about this?
“In that case, I’m not worried. I’ll leave the rest to you, and you need to find the right people for me,” Wang Jinhe said.
“Okay.”
As they spoke, Wang Jinhe noticed that Su Yu’s expression seemed a bit off. She pushed Su Yu’s shoulder and asked, “What… what’s wrong with you?”
“Are you done with your work? Shouldn’t you be spending time with me now?”
“I…” Before Wang Jinhe could refuse, she was silenced.
…
Su Yu held Wang Jinhe as she finished washing up, listening to her muttering softly and scolding herself, a faint smile playing on his lips.
It would have been fine if she had just leaned on him and talked about something else, but fidgeting around as if he were some insignificant person?
If she wanted to scold, she could go ahead, but it was always the same few words. He was tired of it.
The next morning, Wang Jinhe woke up to the rare sight of Su Yu still lying in bed.
Watching him sleep so peacefully, Wang Jinhe narrowed her eyes and then kicked him off the bed.
By the time Wang Jinhe woke up, Su Yu was already awake. Initially, he just wanted to see her reaction, but he was surprised that she had the energy to kick him off the bed.
Getting up from the floor, he walked over to the bed and pinned her down. Su Yu looked at Wang Jinhe’s displeased expression and playfully bit her cheek. “Daring to kick me off the bed? Quite audacious.”
Wang Jinhe snorted coldly. “You deserve it.”
“You still have the energy to kick me off the bed. It seems I let you rest too long last night.”
Wang Jinhe’s expression stiffened slightly, looking at Su Yu in disbelief. “You… how dare you act recklessly, do you want to sleep in the study?”
The threat was quite serious for Su Yu, who frowned at Wang Jinhe, reaching out to pinch her cheek and grumbling disapprovingly, “You’re resorting to threats now?”
“Get off, I have a lot to do today,” Wang Jinhe retorted, rolling her eyes in an unladylike manner.
This person was taking advantage of the fact that the spiritual spring water could restore her body, and she had to make Su Yu understand that this was not acceptable.
“It’s still early, you can rest a little longer,” Su Yu said, turning over and holding her close, refusing to let go.
“After the consequences of your fidgeting,” Su Yu warned, looking at Wang Jinhe, who was not allowed to move.
Wang Jinhe glared at Su Yu, grumbling in his arms, and eventually fell asleep while grumbling.
Su Yu looked helplessly at the sleeping Wang Jinhe, who had been put to sleep by herself, feeling quite exasperated.
He reached out and pinched Wang Jinhe’s cheek. “You managed to put yourself to sleep. You’re quite something.”
After spending some time with Wang Jinhe, Su Yu carefully got up, leaving Wang Jinhe to sleep alone.
