After the Divorce, My Ex-Wife’s Identity Shocked the World Chapter 3

Chapter 3: You Don’t Deserve It

After welcoming Ouyang Shasha, Lu Yunting went to a dinner party and didn’t get home until eleven at night.

The housekeeper, Liu Bo, brought him hangover tea.

Lu Yunting took a sip and frowned, asking, “Why is it different from before?”

Liu Bo bowed and replied, “The hangover tea before was always brewed by the Madam. We don’t know the recipe.”

Lu Yunting stopped, the slightly bitter tea in his mouth making it difficult to swallow.

He put down the cup, went to the bathroom to take a shower with a sullen face.

When he came out, the living room was empty, leaving him alone.

For no reason, he suddenly remembered some days before.

Every time he came home in the middle of the night, that woman would always sit on the sofa obediently, aimlessly pressing the remote control, not knowing what she wanted to watch.

Every time, he would walk past her expressionlessly, only smelling the faint scent of cold fragrance in the air.

Driven by some unknown force, Lu Yunting went upstairs and pushed open the door to the master bedroom.

By the moonlight, he carefully examined every corner of the room, feeling unfamiliar.

He seemed to rarely come to this room. The most memorable time was when he was drunk and went to the wrong room and slept here for a night.

The room was simply furnished, without any objects that ordinary women liked. It was cold everywhere.

He walked to the closet, opened the door, and there were only a few clothes and bags inside.

He remembered that she didn’t seem to shop much, and he hadn’t given her anything. He didn’t know what she had used the money he gave her for all these years.

“Heh… Maybe she used it to help her family.” Lu Yunting closed the closet and walked slowly to the outdoor balcony.

The balcony was large, with a wooden swing on one side and various potted plants on the other.

It was midsummer night, the fragrance of flowers lingered, rippling into his nostrils, just like the scent he always smelled when he passed her, light and pleasant.

Lu Yunting glanced at it indifferently and left the master bedroom.

Lying in bed, he tossed and turned, unable to sleep. He didn’t know how long it had been when his phone suddenly vibrated.

It was so late, it must be something wrong with the ancestral home.

Lu Yunting sat up, but saw that the caller ID was his assistant. He picked up the phone impatiently,

“What are you calling for in the middle of the night…” Before he could finish, his assistant’s anxious voice came through the phone,

“Boss, it’s not good! Our bars and nightclubs have all been shut down!”

“When did it happen?”

“Just now!” The assistant said dejectedly:

“We’ve always been doing legitimate business, but the drug enforcement team suddenly appeared and found drugs in several rooms!”

Lu Yunting’s head buzzed, “How is that possible?!”

“I think it’s strange too! But they found it! Many employees saw it with their own eyes! It’s said that these stores were almost investigated at the same time. It feels like this is aimed at us!”

As soon as the call ended, the phone dinged, and a strange text message arrogantly occupied his screen:

“Appetizer, enjoy.”

Lu Yunting suddenly clenched his phone and gritted his teeth:

Who is behind this?

When Su Yiren woke up, the sun was already high in the sky.

She had gone to Si Hong’s bar last night and drank a lot of alcohol.

She felt good while drinking, but only she knew how uncomfortable she felt when she sobered up.

She had just finished washing up when the doorbell rang.

Opening the door, Si Hong walked in carrying a thermos,

“You drank so much last night, your stomach must be uncomfortable, right?”

He didn’t mention anything about last night, which made Su Yiren less embarrassed.

“It’s okay,” Su Yiren sat down on the dining chair with two swollen eyes and asked,

“What delicious food did you bring?”

Si Hong opened the thermos while saying,

“I made some porridge myself, to nourish your stomach.”

“It’s been so many years since I’ve tasted your cooking,” Su Yiren smiled, then added,

“It probably hasn’t improved much.”

Si Hong looked at her with a sullen expression, and smiled helplessly,

“I usually live alone, so I just buy some food, which is enough. I haven’t cooked much in all these years. The life skills you taught me back then, probably only the noodles are left.”

Recalling the past, Su Yiren’s smile finally became a little more genuine. She scooped up a spoonful of porridge and put it in her mouth. It was plain and tasteless, but it made her empty stomach feel warm and comfortable.

“When we have the chance in the future, I’ll teach you again.”

“Okay.” Si Hong curled his lips, looking at her quiet appearance as she drank porridge, his mind suddenly flashed with her mischievous appearance when she was young, and her bright and unrestrained smile when she grew up. For a moment, he couldn’t take his eyes off her.

Su Yiren drank porridge while scrolling through her phone screen. When she saw a piece of news, she stopped abruptly.

[Lu’s Group’s Nightclubs and Bars All Shut Down Overnight.]

Su Yiren muttered in surprise, “These stores are all doing legitimate business, how come they were all shut down?”

Si Hong sat next to her, glanced at her phone screen, picked up his cup and calmly drank water,

“If it’s really legitimate business, they wouldn’t have been found with loopholes.”

Su Yiren looked up at Si Hong. The eyes behind his gold-rimmed glasses were long and black, as if he was playing with everything in the palm of his hand.

An idea appeared in her mind, and she asked uncertainly,

“Did you… do this?”

“Yes,” Si Hong didn’t hide it, his tone arrogant and cruel,

“He made you cry once, I’ll make him cry for a lifetime.”

The most lively bar street in Rongcheng. Every night, the air is filled with the sweetness of wine and the intoxication of music.

Many men and women, either acquainted or strangers, gather in groups of three or five, either confiding in each other or swaying to the energetic dance music.

It seems that only in this way can they forget the past, forget the pain they have suffered.

In the center of the dance floor, a young woman with a graceful figure attracted the attention of most people.

She was wearing a red halter-neck tight dress, her figure was curvaceous, like a snake dancing to the music, every twist could steal people’s souls.

What’s even more amazing is her face, her skin is fair and flawless, her bone structure is also extremely beautiful, her delicate features are as if carefully sculpted by heaven, set off by the just-right makeup, making her look both pure and alluring.

Her casual gaze swept over, making people willingly fall into her trap, wishing they could crush her in their palms; when she lowered her eyes and smiled faintly, it made people feel that their previous thoughts were blasphemous.

When the song ended, Su Yiren walked out of the dance floor gracefully, but she ignored the men who were staring at her obsessively.

For a moment, whistles sounded continuously.

Su Yiren walked back to the booth casually, sitting on the sofa with a lazy posture.

A middle-aged man immediately approached, his ambiguous gaze swept over her small face the size of a palm, her swan-like slender neck, and then fell on her full chest. His heart itched, he immediately grinned and asked,

“Beauty, are you here alone? Do you want to join me?”

“Join me?”

Su Yiren raised her eyelids, casually glanced at him, her red lips slightly parted, her voice calm and alluring,

“You don’t deserve it.”
