Sunlight streamed through the gaps in the leaves, dappling the ground in patches of light and shadow.

Lu Yunting stood against the light, his tall figure blocking most of the sun.

Su Yiren was confused by his words.

“Why?”

Lu Yunting pursed his lips, not wanting to tell her that he was afraid something might happen.

“You’re not a child, why are you always asking why.” He replied emotionlessly, then strode towards the banquet.

Su Yiren glared at him.

“Who cares to ask you!”

However, they were both going back, and there was only one way, so she could only follow behind him. They returned to the lawn, one behind the other.

Lu Jinhai was reminiscing with a few old friends when he suddenly saw a middle-aged man rushing towards him, shouting:

“Mr. Lu! Do you know why Susan the designer broke her contract with Lu Corporation?”

A servant saw the man who had sneaked in and quickly called for others to catch him.

Manager Zhang immediately took out a stack of documents and handed them to Lu Jinhai.

“Stay away from him.”

Su Yiren raised an eyebrow, also took out her phone, flipped through it, found a photo, pointed it at the man,

“Do you recognize him?”
